Worksop is the largest town in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire, England. Worksop lies on the River Ryton, and is located at the northern edge of Sherwood Forest. Worksop is located 19 miles east-south-east of City of Sheffield, with an estimated population of 44,970. Worksop has become a commuter town as a result of its geographic location and ease of access to major motorways and rail links.     Alton Towers Resort, often shortened to Alton Towers, is a theme park resort located in Staffordshire, England. It is near the village of Alton, in the parishes of Denstone and Farley.
