I was in Holland at the Ijsselmeer for 2 Days

A clever piece of work with blood and sweat brought to reality, the first prewar (1933) waterworks together with the Steammeal Lemmer (1929) and many Watermills on the continent, to keep the Netherlands dry feet.

Enkhuizen is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia. Enkuizen has one of the largest marinas in the Netherlands. Zuiderzeemuseum is located in Enkhuizen. Architecturally, the Drommedaris is the oldest building in Enkhuizen, from 1540. To read more about Enkhuizen, click here:

Bootsrundfahrt Giethoorn im Venedig der Niederlande
Aufnahmen unserer Bootsrundfahrt Giethoorn im Venedig der Niederlande. Überall in Giethoorn kann man sich Elektroboote ausleihen und durch die Grachten dieses malerischen Ortes fahren. Alternativ ist es mögliche, eine geführte Bootstour zu starten. Aber auch ein Gang zu fuß durch Giethoorn und über die vielen Brücken ist ein Erlebnis. Gastronomie und Souvenierläden sowie Museen sind in Hülle und Fülle vorhanden. Giethorn ist in knapp einer Stunde mit dem Auto von unserem Ferienhaus erreichbar.

Prachtig nieuws voor Friesland: Lonely Planet heeft de provincie verkozen tot nummer drie van de tien ‘Best in Europe’ plekken van 2018. Dat heeft de meest toonaangevende reisgids ter wereld vandaag bekendgemaakt. Wat de verkiezing nog meer bijzonder maakt, is dat een Nederlandse bestemming nog nooit zo hoog eindigde op deze beroemde lijst. De Friese provincie mag hier dus met alle recht erg trots op zijn.
