Yoshinogawa is a city located in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. As of October 1, 2016, the city has an estimated population of 40,949 and a population density of 280 persons per km². The total area is 144.19 km². The modern city of Yoshinogawa was established on October 1, 2004, from the merger of the towns of Kamojima, Kawashima and Yamakawa, and the village of Misato . The eponymous Yoshino River forms the northern border of the city.

    Naruto Strait is a strait between Awaji Island and Shikoku in Japan. It connects Harima Nada, the eastern part of the Inland Sea and the Kii Channel. A famous feature of the strait is the Naruto whirlpools. Ōnaruto Bridge, the southern part of the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway, crosses over it.
