48 Hours in Phoenix Arizona: Part 1
Recently I had the chance to visit Phoenix Arizona with Visit Phoenix. I had 48 hours to discover everything this amazing city has to offer. During day one, I had a chance to relax and unwind at the beautiful Civana wellness resort, explore the beautiful landscape on a hike, and indulge at some local craft breweries. Phoenix is definitely not just for golfers and spa goers like I originally thought. It is filled with adventure, nightlife, and beauty!!!
Can't wait to share part two with you. In the meantime a big thank you to;
- Visit Phoenix
-Civana Carefree
-Arizona Brewery Tours

Arizona Distilling Company
It took 85 years for Tempe to have its own distillery since Prohibition was repealed in 1933, but once you taste the spirits distilled at the Arizona Distilling Company, you’ll agree the product was well-worth the wait.

Goldfield Ghost Town - Phoenix Arizona
Visit Goldfield Ghost Town today! Walk down Main Street, explore the many shops and historic buildings. Tour the historic Mammoth Gold Mine and visit the Goldfield Museum. Pan for gold then take a ride on Arizona’s only narrow gauge train. You’ll also get to witness an old west gun fight performed by the famous Goldfield Gunfighters! Spend a fun filled day, rich in wild west history!
Back in the 1890′s Goldfield boasted 3 saloons, a boarding house, general store, blacksmith shop, brewery, meat market and a school house. Just when it looked like the town would outgrow Mesa, the vein faulted, the grade of ore dropped and the town died a slow painful death.
After several unsuccessful attempts to reopen the mines, the town did come to life again from 1910 on and off until 1926. After more than 115 years, travelers from all over the world still visit this gold mining town located on the historic Apache Trail and enjoy the excitement and grandeur of Arizona’s wild west!

Our week in Arizona : Grand Canyon | Sedona | Page
April 2019
Looking back on this trip it really is wild to imagine that we actually did it. So many big moments. Some might say that you can't travel like this as a family, but we say we can only travel like this BECAUSE WE ARE A FAMILY!
We hope you enjoy :)
~the details~
- We flew into and out of Las Vegas because... $$.(our time in Vegas is not in the video because we really didn't do much and we definitely didn't find anything for the kids...if you've got any recommendations for us we are all ears!
HOOVER DAM
- From Vegas we drove East making our first stop at the Hoover Dam( From there we continued eastward until we reached the South Rim of The Grand Canyon.
THE GRAND CANYON
Lodging: Invigorate_Travel(airbnb)
This was such an amazing experience. The property was immaculate. Everything inside was clean and worked properly. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating and it is very close the South Rim entrance(about a 10 minute drive).
Hiking: Bright Angel Trail
We had heard it was one of the most family friendly hikes into the canyon so we gave it a shot! It was perfect for our family. We hiked 2.5 miles down (though it does go all the way to the bottom) to a beautiful lookout point, then headed back up. It was amazing!
Food: Grand Canyon Brewing Company(
While not technically that close to the Grand Canyon we were able to stop at this great little spot on our way to Sedona. Located in the beautifully historic town of Williams, AZ this place was perfect. Great beer (they are also a distillery and we were given a few samples of the house made spirits just for fun). Solid food. Kid friendly. Local feel but welcoming to travelers.
To be continued...
SEDONA(by far our favorite leg of the trip)
Lodging:
this was more of a condo set up. not necessarily a unique stay, but was very affordable, clean, and centrally located.
Hiking:
Devil's Bridge Trail
Slide Rock State Park
Doe Mountain Trail
Food:
We hit a bunch of spots here. honestly, everything was amazing!
