From in-shore fishing in protected bay and shoreline areas of beautiful Narragansett Bay to exciting offshore game fishing. The diversity and abundance of game fish found in Rhode Island waters provides angling excitement throughout the year. Most saltwater game fish are available for fishing year-round with some species having limited fishing seasons. The most popular saltwater game fish in the state is the Bluefish and Striped Bass with the bluefish considered the finest fighting fish in the Atlantic. Both these species can be caught from May through November. Rhode Island is also a key travel destination for trophy Striped Bass. Other species quite popular are the black sea bass, summer flounder, scup, winter flounder , tautog, the American eel, monkfish, haddock, weakfish and winter flounder.
For offshore action, anglers can pursue tuna, shark and cod. Giant Bluefin Tuna that have been recorded and exceed several hundred pounds have been known to visit the “Ocean State” waters in the late summer and fall.
Catch and release Shark fishing on light tackle is another thrilling and popular option as well.

Rhode Island Vacation Part 1
Vacation turned into a trilogy, what a concept. Anyway we stayed at a house on the Narragansett bay and it was fantastic. Throughout the trip porgy were in thick, but the striper were the species of the night and kept me going out. I get very excited about striper as I don't catch many and they fight very well. The merchandise is of my own design based off my man Luke's initial design, I hope you guys enjoy this video and the next couple will be coming soon.
CRAZY Striped Bass/Bluefish Feeding Frenzy. Kayak Fishing Rhode Island
Fall run is in full swing. Brought the kayak out to a spot that was blowing up with bait and fish earlier in the morning and had a pretty good outing. A lot of small bluefish but you can't beat action like this. Mostly schoolie stripers with a few keepers mixed in, no sign of albies or bonito in these blitzes.

Rhode Island Shark Tagging
Aboard Snappa Charters w/captain Charlie Donolin. My wife, Kim and i pulling in Blue sharks specifically for tagging and release. We were hoping for a Mako which would have received a satellite tag for tracking. One blue snooped around the baits for hours but only ate the bits we threw into the chum slick, it never bit any of the baits. Playing back I noticed it already had a hook in its mouth. Just a prelude into the intelligence of these beautiful creatures... fool me once OK, but you will not fool me again. Incredible animals, I love them so much.

Chillin on Narragansett Bay
Launched the boat from Haines Memorial State Park boat ramp in Bullocks Cove. Drove out to Conimicut Light which was built in 1883, it's a historic sparkplug lighthouse in Warwick, Rhode Island. Tried using lures to catch bluefish but nothing. A few sea robins in the channel was all I could get.
Tried a little fishing and ended up in the Seekonk River between he Old Red Bridge and the Henderson bride.
