TRAVEL WITH ME: EGYPT VLOG 2016 | CAIRO, GIZA PYRAMIDS | SONJDRADELUXE
HEY EVERYBODY! Whoa I cannot believe I went to egypt. Welcome to part 1 of my Egypt Vlog. This was such an amazing trip, and so different for me. Not your average slaycation. I had an amazing time and met some amazing people. I saw the Great Pyramids of Giza in the Sahara Desert, went to the Cairo Museum, The Mohammed Ali Mosque, the Coptic church and even went to some of the pyramids and Tombs. IT WAS INSANE. How do you guys think the pyramids were built? It was crazy to see how in tune and intelligent our ancient ancestors were. It has always been a mystery, and it was cool to see all of these fascinating ancient buildings up close in real life. The people in Egypt are so friendly, once you say hello! I definitely stood out and got stared at a lot. That happens everywhere but especially here. I felt totally safe everywhere I went with my guide and had an amazing time!

CAIRO Day 1, The GREAT PYRAMIDS of Giza & Mall of Egypt | Together In Egypt Episode 2
***TOGETHER IN EGYPT Episode 2 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)***
Welcome to Episode 2 of my new travel vlog series: Together In Egypt. Day 1 in Cairo! I think up to that point I was on the actual plane in the air more than I was in on the ground. It was at least over 30 hours with transit from Perth to Cairo. Anyway, we wasted no time, my uncle was likeLet's go to the Pyramids while you're fresh from overseas!Hahaha, surprisingly I had energy to go to the Great Pyramids of Giza the next morning after I landed last night. GUYS! It is a site of AWESOME! A true jaw-dropping human invention/engineering. From Cairo city centre to the Pyramids is not far, you can just Uber it. My recommendation is to come in Egypt's Winter tome, less harsh sunlight and probably less tourists. It costed 160 Egyptian pounds to get in which is not too bad. If you want to get in some of the chambers inside, you have to pay extra. I was not that interested in them so I didn't go. You can actually see more of everything in the Egyptian Museum! With that said, don't plan your trip now cuz they are in the middle of renovation and moving to a new location which is near the road entry to the Pyramids. I would say give it another 6 months or a year for them to properly place all the artifacts before planning your trip. After that, we all went to Mall of Egypt which is quite near the Pyramids. It was so good to shop again! Food in Egypt is so cheap compared to Australia. EGYPT: Nile Cruise & Ancient Monuments (Luxor, Aswan, Giza)
Impression of Egypt along the Nile. More videos of the 7-day Nile Cruise:
Egyptian civilization have depended on the river Nile since ancient times. Most of the population and cities of Egypt lie along the Nile valley north of Aswan. Silt deposits from the Nile made the surrounding land fertile because the river overflowed its banks annually. The Ancient Egyptians cultivated and traded wheat, flax, papyrus and other crops around the Nile. The Nile was also a convenient and efficient means of transportation for people and goods. Nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt are found along river banks.
The Nile was an important part of ancient Egyptian spiritual life and considered to be a causeway from life to death and the afterlife. The east was thought of as a place of birth and growth, and the west was considered the place of death. Thus, all tombs were west of the Nile, because the Egyptians believed that in order to enter the afterlife, they had to be buried on the side that symbolized death.

For more detailed information about each monument see the description of each individual video. Except for:
The Colossi of Memnon (51:16) are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned in Egypt during the Dynasty XVIII. For the past 3,400 years (since 1350 BC), they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, located west of the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor. Two shorter figures are carved into the front throne alongside his legs: these are his wife Tiye and mother Mutemwiya. The side panels depict the Nile god Hapy.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities (55:30), known commonly as the Egyptian Museum, in Cairo-Egypt, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms. It houses the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities.
Part of the collection will be moved to the new Grand Egyptian Museum set to open in 2020. It will house Tutankhamun's complete collection of between 4000 and 5000 artefacts, many of which are undergoing restoration and have never been displayed; the vast collection we have viewed at the old museum represents only about a third of the whole. The Grand Egyptian Museum is located on 50 hectares at Giza, two kilometres from the Grand Pyramids. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo will remain open.

A videography ticket (EP 300) is needed to film inside the Abu Simbel Temples, Valley of the Kings, and museums.
To take pictures only in museums, a photography ticket is needed (EGP 50).

Le Meridien Pyramids Giza , Egypt Hotel Review 4K
Hola and welcome to this look at Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa in Giza Egypt.
It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel in a room with a view of the pyramids (breathtaking!), the amenities and the staff made for a pleasant stay during my visit to Cairo, the only minus point is the internet speed ,but one can always improvise by buying a local sim card, much needed when using uber to get around in Cairo.
Didn't have time to check the Spa for you ,too busy discovering Cairo.
Do i recommend it? of course i do.
I hope this was useful to you if considering this hotel for your future trip to Cairo.
