New Sin Say Kai (New World Park), Penang, Malaysia.
Years ago, this area was popular for food, shows and fun-fair. Today it has become an attraction for foodies and small shops. Local street foods are aplenty. (Midrone4k and cam)

BEST thing to do in PENANG - Entopia Butterfly Garden Malaysia
The best thing to do in Penang is an incredible butterfly garden called Entopia. Experiencing thousands of butterflies and releasing them into their habitat made this one of the best things to do in Penang, Malaysia in our opinion. Watch these amazing butterflies fly in slow motion and enjoy the Entopia Butterfly Garden Malaysia!
Ever since we started traveling Ryan has wanted to film a butterfly garden. It was his idea to come to Entopia Penang and walk the grounds. We were in awe at how many beautiful butterflies were flying around this Penang butterfly farm! We know Entopia is one of the best things to do in Penang with kids, but we weren’t expecting to love it so much ourselves.
Our favorite part of the Entopia butterfly garden Malaysia was being able to release new butterflies into their habitat for the first time. Each butterfly we released was flying into the wild for the very first time which felt like a really special moment. Stacia’s butterfly latched onto her finger and wouldn’t let go! We think he was afraid to take his first flight, so we strolled around the butterfly garden with our new little friend on Stacia’s finger until he was ready to fly.
Out of all the activities in Penang, this is one of the most well organized places to visit with a family or small group. Because they need to keep the conditions warm for the butterflies to thrive, Entopia is quite humid so dress accordingly. Finding outdoor activities in Penang outside of George Town Penang and Batu Ferringhi is a little tough, but we can highly recommend adding Entopia to your trip list. Being the best thing to do in Penang Malaysia for a family day trip, Entopia charges a moderate entrance fee of about $15 USD per adult and less for children.
Penang Island is one of the best places in Malaysia for holiday and CNN ranks Penang one of the best destinations in the world to travel to. Penang Drone Flight: Penang is a Malaysian state located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, by the Malacca Strait. It has two parts: Penang Island, where the capital city, George Town, is located, and Seberang Perai (formerly Province Wellesley) on the Malay Peninsula. The second smallest Malaysian state by land mass, Penang is bordered by Kedah to the north and the east, and Perak to the south. Currently, Penang is home to Southeast Asias Longest bridge connecting the island to mainland. Penangs population stood at nearly 1.767 million as of 2018, while its population density rose to 1,684/km2 (4,360/sq mi). It has among the nations highest population densities and is one of the countrys most urbanised states. George Town, Malaysias second largest city, is also home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. // Penang is a state in northwest Malaysia comprising mainland Seberang Perai and Penang Island. On the island, the state capital of George Town is home to landmarks such as colonial Fort Cornwallis, the ornate Chinese clan house Khoo Kongsi and the Kapitan Keling Mosque, all testaments to centuries of foreign influence. To the west, a funicular ascends Penang Hill, with its trails, flower gardens and panoramic views. The hillside Buddhist Kek Lok Si Temple is known for its 7-tiered pagoda. In the islands south, the Snake Temple houses pit vipers. In the north is Batu Ferringhi, the islands main beach resort, with a nightly market. On the islands northwest tip, Penang National Park shelters the nests of endangered sea turtles. On the mainland, Penang Bird Park has hundreds of bird species, plus crocodiles and tiny mouse-deer. Nearby, Arulmigu Karumariamman Temple features a large tower and sculptures of Hindu deities. Overlooking the sea in the town of Butterworth, Tow Boo Kong, or the 9 Emperor Gods Temple, has ornate shrine halls. [wikipedia // Google]

SIA BOEY Urban Archaeological Park - Penang, Malaysia.
Very impressive project! The SIA BOEY Urban Archaeological Park in Penang is now open for public.
The Sia Boey Urban Archaeological Park's rejuvenation project is to transform Sia Boey into an area that facilitates the coexistence of development and heritage conservation in Georgetown, Penang.
This Sia Boey project is to add value to the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site by enhancing the outstanding universal value with program and space created for the local people and restoring the shophouses in future phase.
This project would also revitalize the area of Komtar Phase 5 making it the socio-civic centre and business hub of the Penang state.
The project is being undertaken by PDC in collaboration with GTWHI, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and with other stakeholders like Think City and George Town Conversation & Development Corporation.
The forthcoming Phase 2 works include restoring two shophouses along Jalan Magazine as community facilities space and having public archaeology program for children to teach them archaeological methods, analysis and interpretation program.
Phase 3 proposed works also include the restoration and adaptive reuse of all the 22 shophouses and using some of the buildings to display the artifacts in the new Prangin Archaeological Gallery as public education and outreach program.

Top 10 Places in PENANG Malaysia - Highlights / Best things to do
I came to Penang on 3 separate visits and got to see most of the important places on the entire Island. Thus, it was time for me to provide you my Top 10 list of the best places that have to be on your itinery when you are planning you next visit. Penang has very well preserved much of its history; it can be seen as what Singapore used to be in 1960. The entire old city of Georgetown has been granted world heritage status by UNESCO, which ensures its preservation for the future. Penang has many beautiful museums, beaches, temples, mosques and churches that are worth to be visited. In addition, Penang is a real paradise for foodie travelers. Its local cuisine ranks among the best in the world. All in all, Penang provides you quite a good mix between sightseeing and chillout time.
A few useful tips for people who only stay 2-3 days in Penang:
Places like the national park and Penang Hill require quite some time to visit and should rather be skipped for short visits. However, if you stay longer, it is a great idea to include them. Traveling in Penang was for me the most convenient using Grab Taxi, as it was cheap and highly efficient.
How to reach Penang: Fly from Kuala Lumpur (Firefly/Airasia), Singapore (Scoot/Airasia) or Bangkok (Airasia):
Information about the Tourism in Penang:
Otherwise there are buses from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, which offer a much cheaper option.

LITTLE INDIA & UNIQUE STREET ART in Georgetown, Malaysia - Penang Island (Pulau Pinang) // 178
Today began with a hunt through historic Georgetown, Malaysia on Penang island for great vegetarian food. I set off for Little Indie in Georgetown, which is a vibrant part of the city offering a variety of Indian restaurants with cheap vegetarian options.
If you're looking to eat vegetarian in Penang, Malaysia, don't miss Little India, Georgetown because the options are nearly endless at a wonderful price. However, if you're a digital nomad in Penang, beware. Once I realized the wifi in my hostel would take twelve hours to upload my video, I headed to the local Starbucks. As it turns out, the Starbucks wifi in Penang is horrendous. (I have since found local cafes with much more promising wifi speeds.) As a digital nomad, wifi is crucial. You've probably noticed the irregular YT uploads this week, and that's due 100% to the unbearable wifi.
Another interesting fact about Georgetown, Malaysia is the street art! Street art in Georgetown is eccentric and immensely detailed. It springs up on you on random walls around the city, making you stop and wonder about the world for a few moments.
