NIAGARA FALLS #1 -NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK-TRAVEL MAN DAN
#TravelManDan #Niagarafalls #wonderoftheworld #usa #justakidfromkenmore
In this episode of Travel Man Dan I have traveled one of the natural wonders of the world, Niagara Falls!
This is a two part series and in this episode I show and explore the American side of the falls, which is located in Niagara Falls, New York.
This episode was so much fun to film! Niagara Falls has always been close to me, it has always been one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Because I grew up about 15 miles away from the falls in Kenmore, I have visited there many many times, and every time I visit I am in awe at the beauty and power of this amazing waterfall.
In this episode you'll see how to start your adventure on the American side just at the entrance of the Niagara Falls state park. You'll see me slowly walk up on to the sound of the roaring rapids charging down from the last part of the Niagara river and see the epic water falling off the ridge and crashing down into the rocks below!!!!
Also in this video you will see the surrounding area of Niagara Falls, and how beautiful it looks with a winter snow on the ground and ice dangling from the railings. Winter although it can be very cold out here is also my favorite time to visit the falls because of how scenic it is. In this video you will see the Canadian side of the falls and the city skyline that is just across the bridge.
Oh yeah and another cool part of this video is you will see me navigate you through the park, along the falls and across the Rainbow bridge into Canada! Yes that is right you can walk across the bridge into Canada and see the Horseshoe falls-Although that episode will come out next week on April 10th!
So I hope you enjoy this part 1 video of Niagara Falls-The American Side! Go ahead and drop me a comment and let me know what you think!

Vacating at Niagara Falls
By [ Gibb
Tourism travel to the Niagara Falls began in the 1820s and within 50 years it had increased ten-fold, resulting in the area's dominant industry. Today, approximately twelve million tourists each year visit the amazing Niagara Falls in order to admire up close how nature has changed and continues to alter the incredibly rich landscape at this part of the earth's surface.
With famous movies like Niagara and Superman II, which were partly filmed at Niagara Falls, the extraordinary imagery of the area traveled all around the world, attracting people's attention and making them select the Niagara Falls region as their next travel destination. Since the Rainbow Bridge, the Whirlpool Bridge, and the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge were constructed, more and more tourists have been reserving a room at a nearby hotel, making the most out of the fact that human intervention actually gave them the opportunity to admire the Falls closer than ever before. In addition, according to testimonials the sound of the water falling at the bottom of the Niagara Basins is practically heard everywhere.
Travel planners suggest that the best months one should do this kind of trip are June, July and August. This is especially due to the fact that during the summer-and especially during daytime-the waterfalls are in their best shape. Winter sightseeing, on the other hand, has created more than a few debates. After February 4th, 1912, when three tourists lost their lives, United States and Canada decided to ban people from actually walking out on the ice bridge, which is created as the water of the river freezes, to view the Falls from below. Hard to imagine, but this was actually a usual practice of people back then! Nevertheless, if one can resist the temptation of walking over ice and can endure the cold weather conditions, visiting Niagara Falls during the winter is said to be an amazing experience.
During the peak of the tourist season, from the Canadian side, floodlights illuminate both sides of the Niagara Falls for several hours after dark, while from the US side, the American Falls are viewed from walkways along Prospect Park, where an observation tower further enhances peoples' view. For those still interested to take a closer look, they can go down the 300 steps to the Cave of the Winds, which is beneath the Bridal Veil Falls area. The Niagara Scenic Trolley offers guided trips along the American Falls, and on the other side, the Queen Victoria Park has platforms and gardens for the tourists interested to view both the American and Horseshoe Falls. Moreover, Skylon Tower's observation deck offers the highest view of the Falls from the US side, while the Minolta Tower from the Canadian side of the area also overlooks the Falls and is open to visitors. Finally, the Niagara River Recreational Trail runs 35 miles (56 km), allowing people to stop and review some historical sites from the 1812 War, while cruise ships and the Journey behind the Falls offer even more excitement.

Northeast USA Road Trip | Fall 2016 | Niagara Falls, Whiteface Mountain and more!
A road trip to the northeast region of the Unite States and our first stop was Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, ME. After enjoying the east coast, we headed to Moss Glen Falls just outside the town of Stowe, VT. We then took a ferry across Lake Champlain from Charlotte, VT to Essex, NY and continued onto High Falls Gorge in Wilmington, NY. We then drove to the top of Whiteface Mountain but unfortunately, there was low cloud coverage that day and we couldn't see much from the peak. After that, our final destination was Niagara Falls before heading back home.

Walking Under the Falls! Cave of the Winds - Niagara Falls State Park, New York
Niagara Falls State Park is located in Niagara Falls, NY and is the best spot on US soil to see the falls. Niagara Falls is made up of three waterfalls, all from the Niagara River. The American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls are located on the American side. Horseshoe Falls is on the Canadian side. All three are spectacular! We purchased the Discovery Pass at the state park. This included five attractions - the Cave of the Winds, the aquarium, the movie, a trolley pass, Maid of the Mist boat ride and the Discovery Center museum. Come along with us as we experience the power of the falls and walk underneath Bridal Veil Falls at the Cave of the Winds!

Niagara Falls State Park, New York 031609
VTS 03 1 - Here's some video I shot from Niagara State Park, NY on March 16, 2009. When I would go to Buffalo or Toronto area for business trips, I would usually take time out to stop at Niagara State Park (just to go for a walk, enjoy the scenery, see what the park and falls look like at that time of year, and also to de-stress). So, here's some pretty descent video of the falls and Niagara River and also the Ontario side (since I'm standing on the US side). It's a beautiful place to visit, but a long drive for me to get there (about 9 hours from Philadelphia area). Love going there off-season and avoiding the tourists. Interesting to take a drive through the city of Niagara Falls; you can imagine what it was like in its glory days, looks pretty depressed at this time. Hope it comes back.
Anyway, hope you enjoy watching this video. Please post your questions or comments below.
Magnificent Niagara Falls, Canada, USA
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the border of the United States and Canada while the American Falls lie entirely on the United States' side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the United States' side, separated from the American Falls by Luna Island.

Best Niagara Falls Attractions for Kids - What to do at Niagara Falls
Friendly Review of the top attractions at Niagara Falls. The video goes through and ranks the Hornblower / Maid of the Mist boat cruises, the Cave of the Winds, and the Journey Behind the Falls. For the boats, the Horn Blower is on the Canadian side and the Maid of the Mist is on the United States side. You get to sail past the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and then linger in the Horseshoe Falls. While below the Horseshoe Falls you'll get wet unless you are inside the boat. The Journey Behind the Falls is only in Canada. There you go in tunnels behind the Horseshoe Falls. There are ports where you can see the water falling right in front of you. There is also a deck so you can go right beside the falls. The Cave of the Winds is in the United States (USA). There you get to go right up next to Bridal Veil Falls. If you are brave enough you can go on the Hurricane Deck where you get pelted with water. Our kids loved it.

Niagara Falls State Park - Cave of the Winds Boardwalk from Luna Island
Niagara Falls (in 1080p HD)
I was lucky enough to visit one of the wonders of the world, Niagara Falls. It truly was phenomenal. Here I compiled clips from both the United States Side, and the Canada Side. I also was fortunate enough to ride the Maid of the Mist Boat Ride, where you get up and close with the falls. This truly was something that was outstanding, and I hope that with these clips I filmed, it'll make you appreciate it's beauty, as I did.
The Niagara Falls are the most powerful waterfalls in North America. These voluminous waterfalls are situated on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario and forms the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. The falls are 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.

Niagara Falls State Park is one of the most beautiful places in the World!
Niagara Falls (/naɪˈæɡrə/) is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls of the Niagara falls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction. Niagara falls is a mustsee.
What i generally love about waterfalls and especially about Niagara Falls is the power of nature. The endless stream of water pouring down the cliffs of Niagara falls.
You can walk behind the falls or take a boat ride or walk the stairs of the hurricane decks . It is all awesome.
Don not miss the boat ride on the maid of the mist .
If you want to get wet : Hurricane Decks is a must.
