Sunday parishioners at Shrine of St. Joseph's in St. Louis are praying for peace and the hope that justice will be served once the Ferguson grand jury reaches a decision.
Priests, pastors and ministers all over the metropolitan St. Louis area alluded to the pending grand jury decision on Sunday.
In the Catholic diocese, the archbishop has been urging parishioners to pray for a peaceful outcome since the violence erupted in August.
The grand jury will reconvene Monday to continue deliberating whether charges are warranted against Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson in the Aug. 9 fatal shooting of Brown.

Wathc as our SJEN.Tv crew takes you on a journey through the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine.
The Old St. Ferdinand Shrine and Historical Site is owned, preserved, maintained, and protected by Friends of Old St. Ferdinand, Inc., a non-profit organization founded in 1959. The date the first settlers came to the rich, fertile Valley of Florissant is unknown, but it is one of the oldest settlements in the state of Missouri. Some historians believe it was settled around the same time as St. Louis. The first civil government was formed in 1786 by Francois Dunegant, who served was the civil and military commandant. Spanish archives in Havana reveal there were 40 people and 7 plantations in Florissant at the time of the 1787 census. The village called “Fleurissant” by its French settlers and “St. Ferdinand” by its Spanish rulers was a typical French village with its commons and common fields.
The first church, built of logs under the supervision of Hyacenthe Deshetres, was erected on the southeast quarter of the block bounded by rue St. Charles, rue St. Ferdinand, rue St. Louis, and rue St. Denis under a grant Spain. The local commandant, Francois Dunegant announced the grant. Dunegant was appointed by Alejandro O’Reily, the Spanish General in New Orleans. On February 19th, 1821, Father de la Croix laid the cornerstone for the new brick structure which was to replace the little log church (destroyed by fire in 1836).
The cornerstone itself was a gift from Mother Rose Philippine Duchesne, and in deference to her, the church was dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus under the invocation of St. Ferdinand and St. John Regis. St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, one of Missouri’s foremost pioneer women, was canonized on July 3rd, 1988. She had lived in the convent from 1819 – 1827 and again from 1834 – 1840. It was here she not only stabilized the area, but established the first school in Florissant.

St. Louis
St. Louis is the largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri. St. Louis was left in ruins in the aftermath of the Chimeran War, although the structure of the city's Gateway Arch is left nearly intact. The city is occupied by the Remnants.
Joseph Capelli and Fyodor Malikov traveled to St. Louis where they met the Remnants, where they are bargained into helping the latter in stealing a Chimeran power core as a fuel source for an obtained U/AV-17 Hawk. The presence of the Gateway Arch, as depicted in Resistance 3, is an anachronism as in real life it was constructed in 1963 and completed in 1965. Although plans and designs were made during the 1950s. Due to the series' twisted timeline, the Arch could have been constructed and completed earlier than in reality.
The city appears in both the teaser trailer and leaked concept arts for Resistance 3.
America First - America Only was the official weekly newsletter of the Alliance for American Autonomy
Overview
The newsletter, which was printed weekly from the AAA's main office, featured stories relating to perceived “crimes” committed by the Noah Grace administration, as well as the Chimeran invasion of Europe and the activities of Alliance members. Secretive SRPA projects such as Project Abraham and the Liberty Defense Perimeter have often featured thanks to Alliance members using the SrpaNet terminal to find hidden files, the document control codes of which were then placed into a tip box in the AAA’s main office. After the U.S. government raided the AAA offices on December 15th, 1950, the newsletter was canceled after seven issues. Alliance for American Autonomy

The Alliance for American Autonomy (AAA) was an American isolationist organization that was opposed to the United States' involvement in foreign affairs and dedicated to the removal of U.S. President Noah Grace from office. The AAA was founded in May 1949 and immediately attracted thousands of participants during its campaign against American re-militarization. Following the outbreak of the Chimeran War in Europe, the AAA at that time was currently unaware of the existence of the Chimera due to government censorship of the American media and becoming more militant in response to Noah Grace's authoritarian policies. These activities include bombing the U.S. border crossings with Canada and Mexico, attacking and seizing military convoys, and vandalizing Army Recruitment Stations.
Enemy
An anti-Alliance for American Autonomy pamphlet
In response, the government branded the AAA as a terrorist organization and began an effort in putting down the AAA through propaganda and federal crackdowns. The AAA was also the publisher of the America First - America Only which investigated the existence of the Chimera and government secrets such as Project Abraham and advocating the enforcement of the First and Second Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
The AAA was forced to go underground following a government raid on the America First - America Only news office on December 15th, 1950. Thereafter, the AAA apparently disbanded or turned into a resistance group to fight the Chimera.

Trivia
The Alliance for American Autonomy (and especially the title of their newspaper America First - America Only) is undoubtedly based on the real-life America First Committee which was against American entry into World War II until it was disbanded after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Oldest Piece of Catholic Art made in North America
– One of the most ancient examples of Christian art from the Americas was created in 1539 by Aztecs for Franciscan missionaries in Mexico. This image depicts a Eucharistic miracle of the sixth century that took place during a pontifical Mass of Saint Gregory the Great. The miracle occurred in response to the those present who doubted that the bread and wine actually became the Body and Blood of Christ. The image utilizes Aztec techniques of featherwork to beautifully depict this Eucharistic miracle and testifies to the very beginnings of the apostolic efforts in Mexico by the Franciscans. This masterpiece is currently on loan to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for one year and has been on display since February 26th, 2018.
