Kids Paddlesports Adventure Camp in Bend Oregon
BOOK NOW:
Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe’s Paddlesports Adventure Camp in Bend Oregon is one of our most popular four-day kids camps that we offer throughout the summer and it is a really great option for kids who would like to try everything from rafting to sailing to stand up paddleboarding to kayaking.
We’ll spend a day learning the basics of sailing up at Elk Lake off Little Fawn Campground using our Hobie Adventure Island Trimarans. Next we’ll head over to the McKenzie River with a few paddle rafts and inflatable kayaks and float down a fun and easy “splash and giggle” section of river. We’ll take a whole day to explore the calm sections of the Upper Deschutes by Stand Up Paddleboard and kayak.
Over all Tumalo Creek’s Summer Kids Camps provide an experience where your children will learn about cooperation and team building in an engaged environment, all while gaining a greater appreciation for the outdoors.

Santiam River SUP (Fishermen's Bend to Mehama)
Friday solo trip down the Santiam, first time on this river. This video includes most of the major rapids between Fishermen's Bend and Mehama. I am happy to say I never fell off the board, though I did have to sit down in one rapid that was too shallow for my fins (a killer for stand up paddle boarders; the board stops but you keep going). Dropped my paddle in another rapid. Notice the huge plumes of smoke off in the distance, especially in the last shot.

Watching Dave Matthews from a sup in Bend Oregon
After a long trip, headed to Bend to go replace my lost sunglasses and found out Dave Matthews was performing at a sold out showing. So we took a hint from the locals. Went and got a picnic. Inflated the sup and watched him from the river. That was a good decision.

Sparks Lake is a natural body of water near the crest of the central Cascade Range in Deschutes County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The lake is about 26 miles west-southwest of Bend along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway in Deschutes National Forest.Named for a 19th-century rancher, Lige Sparks, the water body is a remnant of a bigger lake that has partly filled with sediment and vegetation.

Stand Up Paddleboarding in Lincoln City
This is a short tourism video I created for Lincoln City on the beautiful central Oregon Coast!
Stand up paddling in Lincoln City on Devils Lake is a great way to get started in the sport. With many different locations to paddle board, from Devils Lake to Siletz Bay, and the mouth of the Salmon River to the Pacific Ocean,Lincoln City is a great place to get your feet wet and try the great sport of stand up paddleboarding.
Paddle Boarding on the Hood
There is nothing quite like paddle boarding in the shadow of Mount Hood. We recently rented a couple of boards and spent the day paddling around Trillium Lake. It's a great core workout and when you're tired of paddling the board makes a great island to sit in the sun. The other nice thing about a paddle board is the board is big enough to put your cooler and some chairs on so you can find a quite place away from all the other people.

Pickin' & Paddlin' 2012 @ Tumalo Creek
What began as a couple of kayakers pickin' tunes on the back deck after a long day on the river, has grown into a huge community celebration in to raise funds for the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance and their efforts to transform the Colorado Bridge Dam into Oregon's first whitewater playpark. Highlights include kayak, canoe and stand up paddle board demos throughout the late afternoon, local and regional acoustic, bluegrass and Americana acts in the evening, microbrews from Bend's best breweries, food carts, non-profit information tables and more.
With the passage of Bond Measure 9--86 in November of 2012, the majority of funding was secured for Bend Parks & Rec to construct a safe passage for tubers and a whitewater play park in place of the mill-era dam below the Colorado Bridge. The BPTA has promised to raise $900K through grants, fundraising and private donations to fund the whitewater features of the project. Currently they have $300K more to go and they need your help. All funds raised at Pickin' & Paddlin' go towards this cause.
