Egypt Pyramids Tours and Giza Pyramids Tours
Visit Here:
Egypt Pyramid Tours are immensely popular, but of course this is hardly surprising given the fact that the Giza Pyramids are the number one “must-see” destination in Egypt for the overwhelming majority of tourists. With pyramid tours in Egypt, you don’t only get to see and explore these incredible monuments, but instead, you also get to learn about them.
The Giza Pyramids
The Giza pyramids which are located at the ancient Giza Necropolis on the outskirts of Cairo, are without question one of the world’s most famous landmarks. A visit to this site is included in all Egypt pyramid tours unless otherwise requested.
Explore Cairo:
The sites you will see at the Giza Plateau are so revered that that they are downright iconic of Egyptian culture. Of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, only the Giza pyramids have survived.
What To Expect From Egypt Pyramid Tours?
What can you expect to see when you book Egypt pyramid tours? First and foremost, you can expect to visit and explore the legendary Giza pyramids. Many first time visitors are surprised to discover that the Egyptian Pyramids, while still intact both internally and externally, are actually surrounded by urban development.
While visitors may come expecting to find the Pyramids in an isolated desert, what they will actually see is this natural attraction standing adjacent to businesses like McDonald’s and Pizza Hut.
Yes, You Can Go Inside The Giza Pyramids!
Expect the inside of the pyramids to be very warm; humid, and perhaps even a little bit scary, especially if you suffer from claustrophobia.
Once you’re inside though, you will be left speechless by the miraculous achievement of these millennium-old creations – all the more impressive considering they were built by human hand alone. Contrary to popular belief, slave labor was not used during the construction of these vast complexes.
The three main pyramids are those of Pharaoh Khufu (at nearly five hundred feet high), Pharao Khafre, his second reigning son, and Pharaoh Menkaure.
The Great Sphinx
Besides the pyramids, another popular spectacular structure at the Giza Necropolis is the Great Sphinx. This human headed lion was originally built in honor of the sun god Re-Horakhty.
Is your curiosity piqued by the Sphinx’s missing nose? No, the ancient Egyptians didn’t have a sense of humor. What is believed to be the cause of the missing nose is that bored soldiers once used the Sphinx as target practice. The culprits have been suggested to be anyone from World War I British troops, to Napoleon’s army, to even Turks of the old era.
TAKE NOTE: Climbing on the pyramids is strictly forbidden. Though it was once permitted, the authorities have put a stop to it since the high number of visitors was causing the exterior of the pyramids to degrade rapidly.
With all that having been said, some visitors have said that guards in less frequented areas can be bribed. However, for the sake of future generations, please don’t encourage this illegal and destructive practice.
Last but not least, expect to find a lot of touts on the site, all of which are trying to sell goods or services. You can generally expect to be offered a camel ride on any Egypt pyramid tours, and while this might seem like a fantastic idea, we at EgyptToursPlus.com do NOT recommend a camel ride at the Giza Pyramids if traveling independently.
If you do decide to go for a ride, expect to haggle ruthlessly, and expect to be cheated, both before and after the ride. If you want to ride camels at the Giza Pyramids we highly recommend you book the camel ride as part of your Egypt pyramids trip.

The Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt - Holy Land Tour Day 2
#GreatPyramid #Giza #Egypt
Day 2 begins with an early buffet breakfast at the hotel and after 1 hour+ of travel by bus we arrived at the Great pyramid of Giza. At the entrance, we waited for our tickets then upon entry , they checked our bag and had a hard time passing because of our tripod. They looked for our tour guide and made some negotiations and permission for us to bring our tripod inside. we had no idea that tripods are not allowed inside but in the end we were able to bring it inside and use it. The area was so wide and walking towards the big Mama pyramid is a rough road. Approaching the pyramid, there were a lot of vendors and also tourists and we had a hard time taking pictures because of the huge crowd. Explanations were made and we learned that it took 20 years ++ to build one pyramid and a total of 9 pyramids were made manually. Upon touching the pyramid, it was cold and you feel relaxed staying there even with the heat of the sun. A 15 min time for pictorials and we head back to our bus to see the panoramic view of the pyramids. We visited the baby pyramids and had a chance to take more pictures there and video. It was also this spot where my sister forgot the bag full of our money and passports. Take note all our passports. Luckily we were just near the place and so we told the driver to return to the panoramic place where we had our group picture. We ran as fast as we could and fortunately the bag was still there and was not noticed by the people because of being busy with the pictorials. Thankful enough all our important things are kept inside. We prayed and went back to our bus and head towards the Spinx but we were not able to go down because of the crowded tourists and for our safety too. Then we had our lunch at the hard rock cafe which is the real rock formation of Egypt.

The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. Its sides climb at an angle of slightly less than 52 degrees, rising to a summit of 480 feet. But how did they manage to manoeuvre 2.5 tonne blocks to such an incredible height without the crane or the block and tackle system? It was a challenge to the ancient Egyptians and still remains a mystery to modern archaeologists.

Every Wednesday we present a new video, so join us to see the truth laid bare...
For over four and a half thousand years the pyramids of Egypt have stood as wonders of the world. The facts are astonishing, the Great Pyramid alone weighs almost six million tons and contains over 2.3 million stone blocks. Naked Science sets out to uncover four great mysteries that still surround the pyramids, how were they built, who built them, why were they built, and what secrets may still lie hidden within their stones. As four millennia and countless generations stand between us and the men who built the pyramids we have to study the buildings themselves to uncover the answers.
With British engineer Denys Stocks we learn the art of pyramid building. Stocks has spent twenty years mastering the techniques used by the ancient workmen and shows how such vast quantities of stone were quarried, transported and fitted by a civilisation that had not even invented the wheel. To show the scale of the achievement we asked construction manager and pyramid scholar Craig Smith to calculate what it would take to build a pyramid in today’s money.
We may know the names of the pharaohs who commissioned the pyramids but who actually hauled the blocks. Legends have always held that slaves built the pyramids but we venture into the science of Forensic Egyptology to discover the truth. Mark Lehner discovered the town of the pyramid builders while Zahi Hawass takes us on a tour of their tombs.
There may be few records of how the pyramids were built but hieroglyphic texts within some pyramids hint at their reveal purpose. Salima Ikram and Jim Allen help us find for the reason why the pyramids were built within these spells and incantations. However Robert Bauval, believes there may be deep connections between the pyramids and astronomy. He believes links to the stars are hidden within their stones and chambers.
Finally we follow work in pyramid exploration as teams hunt for hidden chambers and use robots to explore the mysterious shafts at the centre of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids of Giza
Recorded October 30, 2009.
Each day the sun sets on the bustling city of Cairo, and the famous pyramids on the Giza plateau, south of Cairo, are absorbed into the night sky. These colossal structures are never out of sight completely, as they reawaken at night during the magnificent Sound and Light Show. Thousands of years have passed since the Pharaohs walked the Earth, but with your imagination, they will appear before your eyes. History comes to life with each show and provides the audience with a magical experience of learning about ancient Egypt, while staring up at the pyramids.
Each visit to the pyramids and the Sound and Light show is an enchanting experience not to be missed. We may never know exactly how the magnificent pyramids were built. The Riddle of the Sphinx may remain one of the worlds oldest mysteries. We are visiting the pyramids in the 21st century, thousands of years after they were built, and they will continue to endure for generations. These magnificent towering structures manage to humble us with their size, at the same time as they testify to the great human spirit that created them.

Hey guys first day in Cairo and we went to see the pyramids. Thy sister and I went to the bigger pyramid. It was very cramped in but eventually, we arrived in a big room with a small window for the sun to shine through and a tomb while my mum, dad, gran and greataunt went to the smaller pyramid. We then went on camels for a while and enjoyed the warm sun and view. Then a long ride to a typical Egyptian restaurant. We had lamb, rice, chicken wings, chicken kebabs and homemade bread. The Great Pyramid of Giza Mystery Finally Solved
The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the world’s famous seven wonders. It’s a real miracle that more than 4,000 years after it saw the light of day, it still stands in the sands of Egypt. But did you know that it looked completely different in those days?
The Great Pyramid was conceived as a tomb for Khufu whom you may probably know as Cheops. It remained the tallest structure created by human hand in the whole world for more than 3,800 years! Btw, it’s hard to believe, but in ancient times the crypt was mesmerizingly white...
???? And guys, you probably know that Ancient Egyptians held cats in the highest esteem. So we hid one at the beginning of the video! Try to spot it! ????

SUMMARY:
- It was only in the 27th century BCE when the concept of a pyramid with smooth and evenly tilted sides that we all know today was introduced.
- Originally it rose about 480 feet above the ground, while the sides of its base were over 750 feet long.
- It was comprised of about 2.3 million blocks of stone, and each of them had an average heft of over 2 tons.
- The main stuff used during the construction was different types of limestone. The exterior covering that you can see these days was built up from dark limestone.
- These long rows of craggy slabs that resemble stepped pyramids rather than the usual ones were actually the inner coating or the core.
- The pyramid was lined with sparkling white limestone. That’s what initially formed the outer layer of the pyramid.
- In 1303 CE a major earthquake hit Crete. Cairo was affected as well, and the Great Pyramid met a similar fate.
- For hundreds of years, the ancient monument was wearing away in the wind and the sun. In the 19th century, the remaining pieces of limestone that once covered it were seized once again.
- Many adventurers who explored the site later stumbled upon the big stacks of strange debris at the foot of the pyramid.
- One of the mysteries of the Great pyramid was the way the precious materials got to Giza in the first place.
- The fine white stones that were really valued came from far away. They were extracted at Tura which was located on the opposite bank of the Nile, about 8 miles from the necropolis.
- It’s likely the workers used to put the stones on the wooden sleds to move them closer to the construction site.
- The people who worked on the pyramid’s construction were, despite the popular belief, skilled and well-paid employees.
