This is a time lapse of the drive there.
Day 1
Explore Colorado: Wolf Creek
With 430 inches of natural snow a season, Wolf Creek Ski Area gets to claim the title of “the most snow in Colorado” of any ski area or resort in the state. Known for their powder skiing, Wolf Creek is also known for giving the out-of-bounds feel while skiing trees and powder in bounds. They have a variety of groomers for all levels and some areas like Waterfall and the Knife Edge to Horseshoe Bowl for experts.
Wolf Creek Ski Area is one of the last family owned ski areas or resorts in the country. It is owned by the Pitcher Family. They really make skiing affordable and fun for the family.

US 160 Wolf Creek Pass
Travel with us eastbound over Wolf Creek Pass, located on US Highway 160 between the mountain communities of Pagosa Springs (to the west) and South Fork (to the east).
This video was captured on April 11, 2019 after a light snowstorm caused snow-packed and icy conditions on the pass. High country motorists should be aware that even light springtime snows can impact travel. When winter driving restrictions are implemented, be prepared to chain-up, like the big-rig drivers in the video. Or make sure your vehicle is equipped with snow tires or 4-wheel drive.

Pagosa Springs 2015-2016 GoPro video.
My brother bought me a GoPro for Christmas. So, I made a video of my 2015-2016 New Years trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The editing and filming is amateur but I had a lot of fun doing it. Enjoy!

Rocky Mountains Drive: Wolf Creek Pass (Time Lapse) - In A Colorado Minute (Week 202)
--- ---
A jaunty Rocky Mountains drive along Wolf Creek Pass (Highway 160 between Pagosa Springs and South Fork) in Mineral County, Colorado.
I filmed this on our way back from Pagosa Springs (after visiting Four Corners and Mesa Verde National Park / UNESCO World Heritage site the day before) during week 200.
On our way south we had driven through this area at night. In the darkness, we had suspected that the scenery was probably beautiful. We had no idea how stunning it would be during the day. When it comes to dimension and scale, both high and wide, I kind of don't think video really captures it like your eyes see it. But I hope this video gives you a bit of an idea why we kept saying the journey is the destination on this trip - even though our destinations, as you could see in the previous two videos, was amazing as well.
The song in this video is the instrumental version of the appropriately titled Drive, Baby, Drive - written and performed by Jason Matherne. Find more of his music on SoundCloud;
I plan on publishing a longer, unedited and slightly slower version of this drive very soon.
Since week 200, I have changed the format of my weekly video series a little bit. I will continue to publish a 1-minute video every week. However, I will now not always use footage I shot that very week but sometimes footage I shot in a previous week. This is mainly because the sites in Fort Collins are a bit limited and I'm excited about exploring other places around this and the surrounding states. But because of work, I can't necessarily take road trips every week. So from now on, my Moving Postcard videos will function a little less as an updated weekly journal of my travels and explorations and be more focused on showing you the coolest places I got to see over the previous few weeks.
If you have ideas of what I should explore and document for you within a day's drive of Northern Colorado, please leave a comment. Thank you!

US On The Road travels Wolf Creek Pass Colorado
Join us as Us On the Road travels the infamous Wolf Creek Pass Colorado. Today's video you will be joining us for a windshield view of one of Colorado most scenic highways
Wolf Creek Pass is a high mountain pass on the Continental Divide, in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Our route went along U.S. Highway 160 past Pagosa Springs, north east on U.S. Highway 285 to join U.S. Highway 50; Colorado main mid-state highway, on our way to Cañon City, Colorado.
The pass is notable as inspiration of C. W. McCall humorous song featuring an out of control truck loaded with chickens, as the driver attempts to navigate the steep and winding road, with the trucks breaks out.
