The mosque is named after Umar bin Al Khattab, a companion of the Prophet Mohammed who became the second Caliph after Abu Bakr and was given the title Al Farooq, meaning someone who distinguished truth from falsehood. The original Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque was established on the same site in 1986.
Al Farooq Mosque in Dubai (or the Blue Mosque) is in the suburb of Umm Suqeim, near Jumeirah. Opening date expected to be beginning of Ramadan 2011. Al Farouq Mosque is one of only 3 mosques in the UAE which non-Muslims can visit. The other two are Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, and the Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai.
Full name is Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque and Islamic Center. Mosque is named after Umar Bin Al Khattab, the second Caliph after Abu Bakr.
Exterior design based on the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (or Blue Mosque) in Istanbul.
Capacity 2,000 people.
Construction and developer is the Al Habtoor Group
Mosque construction funded by Khalaf Al Habtoor
Facilities include Islamic Center or school for teaching the Holy Quran and Islamic courses, lecture theater, research library (with 4,000 texts).
Internal area of mosque is 8,700 sq meters. Prayer hall or worship hall area is 4,200 sq m.
Central dome is 30 metres high. Mosque has 4 minarets, each 70 meters high.

It is Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque & Centre in Dubai. It is an architectural and spiritual masterpiece that relates the glorious history of Islam to all people, a wonderful creation of the man of business and goodness: Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor.
The Mosque was founded in 1986, expanded in 2003, demolished in 2010, and rebuilt in 2011.
Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque & Centre was built in Dubai over an area of 8620 m2 of which the building occupied 3850 m2. It took less than a year to finish construction of the mosque.

Sheikh Zayad Grand Mosque (Arabic: جامع الشيخ زايد الكبير) is located in abu dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates is considered to be the key site for worship in the country. The design of the mosque was done by a Syrian architect named Yousef Abdelky.
The project was launched by the late president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Zayad bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wanted to establish a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world with the historical and modern values of architecture and art. His final resting place is located on the grounds beside the same mosque. The mosque was constructed from 1996 to 2007. It is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates. The building complex measures approximately 290 m (960 ft) by 420 m (1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), exclusive of exterior landscaping and vehicle parking.
As the country's grand mosque, it is the key place of worship for Friday Gathering and Eid Prayers. During Eid it may be visited by more than 41,000 people.
No 1:Al Noor Mosque :-
The Al Noor mosque is a mosque in Sharjah. It is located on the Khaled lagoon at the Buhaira Corniche. It is of Turkish Ottoman design and was influenced by the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Turkey. It is one of three mosques open to the public in Sharjah, which has over 600 total.
In 2014 the mosque set a Guiness World Record for the World's largest wooden charity box for their Ramadan donation campaign.[
