8. THE WILLIAMS ENIGMALITH
While on a hike in 1998, electrical engineer John J. Williams spotted what looked like an electrical plug protruding from the ground and began digging. The three-pronged plug, he discovered, was embedded in a small rock. Williams claimed that the bizarre item was unearthed in a remote location in North America, far from plants, factories, and industrial complexes - you know, places where you might expect to find an unidentified or strange-looking electrical device.
7. THE SCREAMING MUMMY
In 1886, Gaston Maspero, head of the Egyptian Antiquities Service, happened upon an unusually plain burial box while going about his typical work duties. The conspicuously unmarked container provided no clues whatsoever as to the identity of the person inside.
6. ROMAN COINS IN JAPANESE CASTLE
In late 2016, archaeologists dug up ten rusty copper coins behind Katsuren Castle, a UNESCO heritage site in Japan. Four of the “little round things” were instantly recognized as originating from the Roman Era by archaeologist Toshio Tsukamoto, who had previously studied sites in Italy and Spain. They were traced back to the third and fourth centuries of the European kingdoms.
5. A CINEMA
In late 2004, Parisian police made a startling discovery among the city’s already perplexing and extensive 170-mile underground network: a cinema. The force’s sports squad, which is responsible for patrolling these tunnels and catacombs, was performing a training exercise when they encountered a tarp with a sign on it reading “Building Site; No Access.”
4. SHIPS BELOW SAN FRANCISCO
During the California Gold Rush in the 1850s, thousands of ships sailed in and out of San Francisco’s port, loaded with prospectors hoping to strike it big. They anchored in Yerba Buena Cove, which is now downtown San Francisco, and were often abandoned by the entire crew, who also set out in search for gold. Because why not? These people had a serious case of FOMO!! (FEAR OF MISSING OUT)
3. THE UNDERGROUND CITY OF DERINKUYU
One Turkish man discovered an entire underground city in 1963 when he knocked out a basement wall while carrying out home renovations. The vast network of rooms extends 200 hundred feet below the ground. This city, Derinkuyu, is just one of many underground cities that the Cappadocia region of Turkey is known for. With eleven floors and enough space to shelter approximately 20,000 people, Derinkuyu is the largest of these cities.
2. BETZ MYSTERY SPHERE
In May 1974, a large brushfire swept across an 88-acre plot of woodland on Florida’s Fort George Island that had been recently acquired by Gerri and Antoine Betz. While reviewing the damage, the couple, along with their son Terry, discovered a strange, polished metal orb, measuring slightly less than eight inches in diameter. An elongated triangular shape was stamped onto its surface, but the item otherwise contained no identifying marks.
1. TERRACOTTA ARMY
In 1974, workers digging a well outside the Chinese city of Xi’an found a life-sized clay statue of a soldier poised for battle. The Chinese authorities were notified and government archaeologists were dispatched to the site. During the excavation, thousands more of these clay soldiers, each possessing unique facial features and assembled according to rank, were found.

According to legend passed down by residents in Western Pennsylvania, you can spot a mysterious “Green Man” walking alongside the road late at night or in a local tunnel where his touch will disrupt a car’s electrical systems. His trademark disfigured face and glowing green skin are said to be the result of an electrical accident. One version of the story says he was struck by lightning, and another claims he worked on the railroad as a laborer until an electrical accident killed him.

The Ghost Ship That The Government Tried To Keep A Secret - The Ourang Medan
Whatever you need a website for, create yours today with Wix:
Why did Japanese and US governments try to keep The Ourang Medan a secret? What actually happened on-board The Ourang Medan?
The ocean is a vast, mysterious frontier, and even though thousands of ships navigate its waters every day, from time to time tragedy strikes and leaves behind little more than a mystery- no wreckage, no survivors, just a haunting sense of “what exactly happened?”. But other times tragedy strikes and leaves behind a plethora of evidence, all pointing at sinister and unbelievable conclusions. Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Infographics Show's Greatest Mysteries- today we're taking a look at the ghost ship Ourang Medan.
Ghost ships have been a stable of maritime folklore for centuries, and something we like to pretend we no longer believe in. However, sometimes fate tests that disbelief, pushing back the boundaries of our knowledge and our confidence in science and reason over superstition. The Ourang Medan is one of those tests, a mystery tempting us with an answer we may find too terrifying to accept.
Reports vary on the start of the Ourang Medan mystery, with some placing it in June of 1947 and others in February of 1948. Whatever the date, the saga of the Ourang Medan began with an emergency distress call over morse code intercepted by various vessels in the Straits of Malacca, near Sumatra and Malaysia. The message was split into two parts, with undecipherable morse code in between each. The first part read: “All Officers, including the Captain, are dead. Lying in chartroom and bridge. Possibly whole crew dead.” Gibberish followed, though given the context of the second message it may have been the fading attempts of a dying man to communicate, as the second message simply read: “I die.”

Massive Abandoned Steelworks Leaves Thousands of Workers without Job | URBEX DOCUMENTARY
Urban Exploration: Infiltrating an Abandoned Steel Mill in Germany (English and German subtitles are available!) Episode #133
► Do you want to help us produce even better content? You can support us on Patreon:

This colossus is one of Germany’s biggest industrial monuments. In the past, several thousand workers were drudging here under the most severe conditions day after day. In this former steel mill, all the production stages, from processing ore to the final goods, were realized in the tightest of spaces. After 15 years of being decommissioned, the monstrous industrial park was still appearing in working order. But when we were daring to enter the belly of the beast, we realized that the old plant is only a ruin. Pipes and steel beams, thick like tree trunks, are the skeleton of the leviathan but have been gnawed on by rust. So, it became really dangerous to move inside the spacious halls. But curiosity was the reason why we kept exploring and ultimately made an unusual find. And it was also why we had to end our exploration early.
On this adventure, we were accompanied by an anonymous friend. In the past, we were on several mutual explorations and there are even more to come. So, follow him and stay tuned:

Titanic Survivor Claims an Iceberg Didn't Destroy the Ship
Have you ever met a person who hasn’t ever heard the story of Titanic? Unlikely. Even if you ask a 10-year-old, they’ll tell you exactly what took down the gigantic ship. However, some survivors of the sinking legend would beg to differ. Here’s one of their stories, and it has nothing to do with an iceberg.
Armenian publicist Vaghinak Byurat was 25 years old in the spring of 1912. He described what happened on his journey to America on the most famous ship in the world in his memoirs. He’s never mentioned an iceberg hitting the Titanic, and always spoke about an explosion. And if what he said was true, something must have caused that huge explosion...
???? Btw, guys, there is a cat hidden in this video. If you can spot our furry little guy, you're much more attentive than most people! Do you accept the challenge? ????

SUMMARY:
- Armenian publicist Vaghinak Byurat was 25 years old in the spring of 1912. He described what happened on his journey to America on the most famous ship in the world in his memoirs.
- In 1912, Vaghinak published some books together with his father, a famous Armenian writer. His task was to take the books to America.
- They went to bed rather late on April 14, just like on the other nights. Shortly after midnight, something that sounded like a big explosion woke everyone up.
- None of the crew members wanted to say anything, but a few minutes later it was impossible to deny that the Titanic was going underwater.
- Vaghinak put his passport and money in a little bag and tied it around his neck. The Titanic’s bow was already underwater by that time. A lot of people in this situation wouldn’t have dared to take it to the open water.
- The water in the North Atlantic that night was just below freezing, at a scary 28 degrees Fahrenheit (-2 C). The young writer felt his arms and legs go numb, and he was understandably getting weaker and weaker every second.
- Then, he bumped into something. It was a lifeboat! But it was so overcrowded they pushed the young man with a paddle when he tried to stick to the boat.
- Vaghinak woke up alive on board another ship. That ship was the Carpathia, and it was en route to New York with lucky survivors on board.
- 12 days later, a woman came into the room. She turned out to be the person who saved Vaghinak. Missis Astor told the sailors that the young man was her son, and she wouldn’t let them go without him since she’d already lost her husband on the Titanic.
- Vaghinak lived a long and happy life and, as a great storyteller, he shared what happened to him many times. Interestingly, he’s never mentioned an iceberg hitting the Titanic, and always spoke about an explosion.
- It could have been a fire, and quite a lot of people actually believe that theory, saying that coal was burning in the ship’s hull.
- Another theory that explained the explosion claimed that there was a German U-boat involved in the sinking of Titanic.

পৃথিবীর সবথেকে বড় SHARK মাছ Megalodon || Largest Fish in the World in Bengali || Burning Curiosity
Carcharocles megalodon lived between 2.6m and 28m years ago and could grow to up to 18 metres in length. It weighed up to 100 tonnes and fed on small whales. The scientists’ new theory moves away from the previous reasoning behind their extinction – climate change.
Dr Catalina Pimiento, lead author from Zurich University said: “We were not able to ascertain any direct link between the extinction of C. megalodon and the global fluctuations in temperatures during this time. Changing climatic conditions do not appear to have had any influence on the population density and range of the giant sharks.”
Approximately 200 megalodon records from museums and databases were analysed by the researchers. They found up to 16 million years ago, the giant predators were found mainly in the Northern Hemisphere, near Europe, America and the Indian Ocean but then travelled further into the South American, Asian and Australian coasts over time. C. megalodon’s population numbers peaked during the middle of the Miocene epoch with the species becoming extinct in the Pliocene.
Number of C. megalodon did not decline during colder periods of their lifetime and vice versa. However, when the amount of territory the giant shark occupied shrunk, a large number of smaller marine mammal species disappeared, said researchers. In addition to this, new predators emerged, such as the ancestors of the killer whale and great white shark, meaning increased competition for the remaining food sources.
