The Best Cruises From Four Major Cruise Lines
After 42 cruises, I take a look back at the best cruise I've taken with four major cruise lines: Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, and Princess.
You'll find out what I think is the best cruise ship in the world, which cruise line I've sailed the most with, see the luxury cruise experience that can be had if you're willing to pay the big bucks, and find out about the one cruise destination that was far more beautiful than all of the others.
Special emphasis on two very special ships: Anthem Of The Seas, and the Carnival Vista... certainly two of the best cruise ships serving North America right now.
This is an updated version of a video that I first published on YouTube back in May of 2016. People have still been watching that video lately, and I feel bad about it because it was two years out of date. Specifically, the information about Carnival and Norwegian needed to be updated since we've had some great cruises with those two lines in the two years since the original version of this video. So, this current version offers my honest opinions as of December 2017.

Being possessed, it turns out, is exhausting work. Just ask Mambo Edeline St. Armand. While popular culture portrays Vodou as full of curses and sticking pins into little dolls, the religion has in fact played a central role in Haitian cultural identity since the country's birth, a result of the New World's first and only successful slave rebellion. Since Brooklyn is home to the largest Haitian population outside of Haiti, we sent Thomas Morton into our own backyard to witness the realities of being possessed by Vodou's multitude of rowdy, rum-thirsty spirits.

Spirit Airlines, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAVE) is a United States ultra low-cost carrier headquartered in Miramar, Florida, in the Miami metropolitan area. Spirit operates scheduled flights throughout the U.S. as well as the Caribbean Sea area, Mexico, and Latin America. In 2011, Spirit achieved $1 billion dollars in annual revenues and was thereby classified a major airline by the United States Department of Transportation[citation needed]. Spirit currently maintains one base and four focus cities. Over half of the airline's flights are to destinations in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Latin America
Atlantic City International Airport (IATA: ACY, ICAO: KACY, FAA LID: ACY) is a joint civil-military public airport located nine nautical miles (17 km) northwest of the central business district of Atlantic City, in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States.[1] Located in the Pomona section of Galloway Township, it is the major component of a national aviation area that lies on portions of three municipalities: Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township, and Hamilton Township. The airport is accessible via Exit 9 on the Atlantic City Expressway. The facility is operated by the South Jersey Transportation Authority, which also owns the terminal building. Most of the land area is owned by the Federal Aviation Administration.[2]
The facility also serves as a base for the New Jersey Air National Guard's 177th Fighter Wing operating the F-16C/D Fighting Falcon, and the United States Coast Guard's Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City operating the HH-65 Dolphin. The airport is adjacent to the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center, a major research and testing hub for the Federal Aviation Administration, and a training center for the Federal Air Marshal Service. It has also been a past designated alternative landing site for the Space Shuttle.
The airport is served by Spirit Airlines. Additionally, Harrah's Entertainment is offering service to select destinations east of the Mississippi River via its Total Rewards Air. This service is being offered as a scheduled charter and only during the summer months. Flights are offered through Gold Transportation on a Sky King or Pace Airlines 737, or similar aircraft.[3]
The South Jersey Transportation Authority has outlined plans for massive terminal expansions (on top of current initiatives) which might be necessary if more air carriers wish to serve the airport. Total passenger traffic at the airport in 2011 was 1,404,119, making it the 102nd busiest airport in the country. The SJTA is currently discussing a possible sale or transfer of the airport's operating lease to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The SJTA owns a small area around the terminal and leases runways and other land from the FAA.[4]

Driving Downtown - Fort Lauderdale Florida USA - Episode 45.
Starting Point: .
Fort Lauderdale (frequently abbreviated as Ft. Lauderdale) is a city in the U.S. state of Florida, 28 miles (45 km) north of Miami.
The city is a popular tourist destination, with an average year-round temperature of 75.5 °F (24.2 °C), and 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. Greater Fort Lauderdale which takes in all of Broward County hosted 12 million visitors in 2012, including 2.8 million international visitors. The city and county in 2012 collected $43.9 million from the 5% bed tax it charges, after hotels in the area recorded an occupancy rate for the year of 72.7 percent and an average daily rate of $114.48. The district has 561 hotels and motels comprising nearly 35,000 rooms. Forty six cruise ships sailed from Port Everglades in 2012. Greater Fort Lauderdale has over 4,000 restaurants, 63 golf courses, 12 shopping malls, 16 museums, 132 nightclubs, 278 parkland campsites, and 100 marinas housing 45,000 resident yachts.
Fort Lauderdale is named after a series of forts built by the United States during the Second Seminole War. The forts took their name from Major William Lauderdale (1782–1838), younger brother of Lieutenant Colonel James Lauderdale. William Lauderdale was the commander of the detachment of soldiers who built the first fort. However, development of the city did not begin until 50 years after the forts were abandoned at the end of the conflict. Three forts named Fort Lauderdale were constructed; the first was at the fork of the New River, the second at Tarpon Bend on the New River between the Colee Hammock and Rio Vista neighborhoods, and the third near the site of the Bahia Mar Marina.
Economy
Fort Lauderdale's economy has diversified over time. From the 1940s through the 1980s, the city was known as a spring break destination for college students. However, the college crowd has since dwindled, with the city now attracting wealthier tourists. Cruise ships and nautical recreation provide the basis for much of the revenue raised by tourism. There is a convention center located west of the beach and southeast of downtown, with 600,000 square feet (55,742 m2) of space, including a 200,000-square-foot (18,581 m2) main exhibit hall. Approximately 30% of the city's 10 million annual visitors attend conventions at the center.
The downtown area, especially around Las Olas Boulevard, first underwent redevelopment starting in 2002 and now hosts many new hotels and high-rise condominium developments. The downtown area is the largest in Broward County, although there are other cities in the county with commercial centers. Office buildings and highrises include Las Olas River House, Las Olas Grand, 110 Tower (formerly AutoNation Tower), Bank of America Plaza, One Financial Plaza, Broward Financial Center, One East Broward Boulevard, Barnett Bank Plaza, PNC Center, New River Center, One Corporate Center, SunTrust Centre, 101 Tower, and SouthTrust Tower.
Fort Lauderdale is a major manufacturing and maintenance center for yachts. The boating industry is responsible for over 109,000 jobs in the county. With its many canals, and proximity to the Bahamas and Caribbean, it is also a popular yachting vacation stop, and home port for 42,000 boats, and approximately 100 marinas and boatyards.[24] Additionally, the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the world's largest boat show, brings over 125,000 people to the city each year.
Companies based in the Fort Lauderdale area include AutoNation, Citrix Systems, DHL Express, Spirit Airlines, and National Beverage Corporation. The largest employers in the county are Tenet Healthcare, which employs 5,000 people; American Express, which employs 4,200; The Continental Group, which employs 3,900; Motorola, which employs 3,000, and Maxim Integrated Products, which employs 2,000.
Gulfstream International Airlines, a commuter airline, is headquartered in nearby Dania Beach. An Online Trading Academy center is also located in the city.

WHAT WE BELIEVE BIBLICALLY
▪Christ-centered-If Jesus said it… we believe it. If Jesus modeled it… we want to live it. If Jesus commanded it… we want to obey it. We believe everything Jesus practiced and preached is as relevant for us today as it was at the time of Christ’s earthly life and ministry.
▪Non-denominational-Having no authority or doctrines dictated by any outside board or affiliation.” We believe in order to stay as true as possible to the patterns of church life in the New Testament, we must avoid denominational labels and doctrines that identify us with one group exclusively. This does not mean, however, that anything goes!
▪Jesus Christ-Jesus is the only Son of God. We believe that His earthly life and ministry demonstrated and proved this: All people matter to God. We believe that if anyone wants to come to God, they must first invite Jesus Christ to be Savior and Lord of their life.
▪Worship-worship is fundamental to the abundant life of a growing Christian. We encourage all expressions of worship we read about in the Bible.
▪The Bible (KJV) Preferred-The only complete and infallible written Word of God. We also believe God still speaks to us today through His Holy Spirit.
▪What we believe about… You-EVERYONE seeking/not seeking Christ is welcome to hear the word of God.. NO ONE IS BEYOND SAVING! We love you as Christ loves the Church & hope God will work Miracles in your life to find a Relationship with you.

Spirit Airlines Big Front Seats are made of leather, have 36 inches of pitch and are 20 inches wide. This means you have an additional six inches of legroom beyond Spirit’s standard seats. They are “pre-reclined”, meaning that you can’t recline them further.
Spirit Airlines, Inc. is an American ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Miramar, Florida in the Miami metropolitan area. It is the seventh largest commercial airline in the United States. Spirit operates scheduled flights throughout the United States and in the Caribbean and Latin America. The airline operates bases at Atlantic City, Chicago–O'Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, and Orlando
Our BIG FRONT SEATs are larger seats, for those who prefer more space, in the front of the plane. With a 36 pitch and 18.5 width - a full 6 of additional legroom compared to our standard Deluxe Leather seats - you'll be flying in comfort when you choose our BIG FRONT SEAT.

Lifestyle
As is true of many parts of Florida, the city's population has a strong seasonal variation, as snowbirds from the northern United States, Canada, and Europe north spend the winter and early spring in Florida. The city is also sometimes referred to as Fort Liquordale because of its beaches, bars, nightclubs, and history as a spring break location, back in the 1960s and 1970s, for tens of thousands of college students. However, the city has actively discouraged college students from visiting the area since the mid-1980s, passing strict laws aimed at preventing the mayhem that regularly occurred each year in the 1970's and 1980's. The city had an estimated 350,000 college visitors for spring break 1985; by 2006, that number had declined to about 10,000. Since the 1990's, Fort Lauderdale has increasingly become a location that caters to those seeking the resort lifestyle seasonally or year round and is often a host city to many professional venues, concerts, and art shows.

Royal Caribbean International is a cruise line brand founded in Norway and based in Miami, Florida, United States. It is owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. As of March 2017, the line is operating 24 ships, has six additional ships on order, and controls 21.9 percent of the cruise market worldwide.] All ships under the Royal Caribbean International brand have names ending with of the Seas (e.g. Empress of the Seas) a practice which began in 1991.
Royal Caribbean International was founded as Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in 1968 by three Norwegian shipping companies: Anders Wilhelmsen & Company, I.M. Skaugen & Company, and Gotaas Larsen. The newly created line put its first ship, the Song of Norway, into service two years later. A year later, the line added the Nordic Prince to the fleet and in 1972 it added the Sun Viking. In 1978, Song of Norway became Royal Caribbean's first passenger ship to be lengthened. This was accomplished via the insertion of an 85-foot (26 m) section to the vessel's severed center. Following the success of this work, Nordic Prince was also stretched in 1980. During the stretching on both ships, their sterns were modified. However the Sun Viking wasn't stretched or modified and remained the same size and shape. Royal Caribbean received widespread global recognition when in 1982 it launched the Song of America, over twice the size of Sun Viking and at the time the third largest passenger vessel afloat (after the Norway and the Queen Elizabeth 2).
