Here is a preview of the Goodwill Clearance Center (Outlet Store) in Phoenix, Arizona!
The place is kinda dirty and pretty brutal, but you can find some good stuff! Watch out for broken glass and random wetness lol! Bring glove! People can be rude and shove you, so remember to give them a good punch in the face as a reminder. Watch for kids rummaging your cart when you're not looking. Have fun!!

6 Wild Edibles Native to The Eastern United States
Hey guys in this video we talk about six wild edibles that are native to the Eastern United States as well as discuss their features and uses. There are a lot of plants native to the Eastern United States and many that also grow into the central portion of the country. Some of these plants are well known but others are not. Native plants and wild edibles are becoming of larger interest as we realize the changes made in plant life over the past few centuries and people are using native plants for gardening and landscaping. These wild edibles are all delicious and easy to identify with one being toxic if gathered at the wrong time of year. From the Spicebush to the Mayapple these six native wild edibles are common and grow usually in large colonies making them easy to find.
The Mayapple is well known for making jams, jellies, and things from it's uniquely citrus like fruit which ripens in late summer to early fall. The entire plant is deadly poisonous except for fully ripe fruit, so be careful. The Star Chickweed is a relative to the Common Chickweed and is edible all the same. Many may not know of this wild plant but probably walk right by it while hunting for morels in the spring. Cut Leaf Toothwort is a distinct wild edible native to the eastern united states that has an edible rhizome tasting like domestic horseradish. The rhizome is just below soil which makes it an easy wild edible to harvest. Many people know of stinging nettle but some may not know of wood nettle. This native plant has a large range, one of the largest out of the six in this video, and like it's popular cousin is edible all the same. The wood nettle can be used for greens and even for making cordage, or rope from the fibers in the stem. Many native cultures have used the wood nettle dating back thousands of years in the United States so it's a good wild plant to learn. Spicebush is a fragrant wild edible that has uses for teas, syrups, desserts, and seasoning. The plant has small oval berries that can be dried to make a substitute for allspice. As a native plant the Spicebush grows across the Midwest and has a large range as well so you just might find it in your neck of the woods too!
I thank you guys for watching this video I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you learned something. If you want to learn more about wild edibles or medicinal plants make sure to subscribe!

End of road trip - Chapel Hill + Durham, NC
Our Airstream videos are coming soon! We're a little behind on videos and we want to keep telling our story in chronological order. Soon you will see us pick up the Airstream from Less Junk, More Journey, so hold tight!
This video tells the story of the final stop on our mini-van road trip: Chapel Hill and Durham, North Carolina.
In Chapel Hill, we stayed right on the campus University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We spent our days roaming around the beautiful quads and gardens during the days, and getting eaten alive by mosquitos at night. We visited a planetarium and Mama had a mini existential crisis. The girls loved the statue of a giant spider.
In Durham, we visited the Museum and Life and Science and explored the beautiful and lively downtown area. We came across a giant, underutilized park with some mysterious technological relics on display, came across some community gardens with yummy tomatoes, and ate some delicious bar-b-q while watching the scene come alive at night.
What a wonderful way to end this amazing, life-changing road trip! The plan is to fly home out of Raleigh in a couple days . . . but we're feeling pulled toward attempting the long drive west in our minivan. Are we crazy? (YES)

These 5 basketball players are able to pull off a No-Jump Dunk, which means dunking without even hardly jumping. Through the 1970s, the slam dunk was standard fare by Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, David Thompson, Julius Erving, Darryl Dawkins, and others.
Make sure you have your life insurance, health insurance and sports medical insurance before attempting a no-jump dunk!
Facts about these 5 basketball players who did the no-jump dunks.
1) Kenny George is an American retired basketball player. He played for the University of North Carolina at Asheville Bulldogs from 2006 to 2008. Back in In October 2008, George had his right foot partly amputated due to a health issue called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection. George came back from retirement and recovery, and played in 4 games for the Tuři Svitavy team of the NBL of the Czech Republic, back in March 2011. There was a claim that he may have been the tallest player in the history of college basketball.
2) Mamadou N'Diaye who currently plays for University of California Irvine, and remained undrafted until now. He now plays for the Golden State Warriors Development League Team. He has been compared with NBA players such as Yao Ming, and Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert in terms of wingspan and flexibility.
After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, N'Diaye joined the Golden State Warriors for the 2016 NBA Summer League. On October 22, 2016, he signed with the Detroit Pistons, but was waived later that afternoon. On October 30, he was acquired by the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League as an affiliate player of the Pistons. He was later waived by Grand Rapids on November 10, prior to the start of the regular season.
3) Sun Ming Ming is currently the tallest professional basketball player in the world, and was measured by the Guinness World Records as 7 ft 9 in (2.36 m) tall. He appeared in a fight scene in Rush Hour 3 alongside Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, playing his role as Kung-Fu Giant.
Sun Ming Ming came to the United States in early 2005 to train for a possible career in the NBA, and had a tryout with the Los Angeles Lakers, but was not selected in the draft. In 2005, Sun discovered that he had a benign brain tumor attached to his pituitary gland that was stimulating the over-production of growth hormone known as acromegaly. Because he had neither life insurance, medical insurance or health insurance nor enough money to pay for the more than $100,000 in medical bills, his agent started a fundraising loans/donation campaign, and the campaign was successful as lots of people donated. The tumor was successfully removed back on September 26, 2005.
Sun played with several American minor league teams such as the USBL team Dodge City Legend, the ABA team Maryland Nighthawks, and the IBL team Grand Rapids Flight. He was also drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters in 2007, being the tallest player in their history to be drafted by them, but he'd never play for them.
In 2009 he returned to China to play for the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), and became a member of the 2012 and 2014 CBA Finals championship winning teams.
4) Paul Sturgess is best known as Tiny in the Harlem Globetrotters team. He played for the Harlem Globetrotters from 2011-2013, and later signed with Texas Legends till 2014. He is currently playing professional basketball for Cheshire Phoenix of the British Basketball League.
On November 1 2013, Sturgess was selected by the Springfield Armor in the third round of the 2013 NBA Development League Draft. On 4 November 2013, he was traded to the Texas Legends where he played for the rest of the season. On November 19 2014, he was signed by Cheshire Phoenix of the British Basketball League.
5) Elhadji Tacko Sereigne Diop Fall, or best known as Tacko Fall currently plays for University of Central Florida, and hopes to enter into the NBA scene in 2 years time. He had previously lived with 2016 NBA Draft No.1 pick, Ben Simmons for a year in Houston, Texas. Tacko had trained with both Ben Simmons and Hakeem Olajuwon during his college days. In the 2019 NCAA March Madness tournament, Tacko Fall and his team UCF Knights fell short to Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils. Tacko Fall currently plays for the Boston Celtics in 2019.
Born and raised in Dakar, Senegal, Tacko Fall moved from Senegal to the United States at age 16. Initially, he played soccer and had no interest in basketball. Tacko Fall has aspirations of becoming an engineer for electronic companies such as Siemens or Microsoft.

If you come tour the Biltmore, make sure you have on comfortable shoes, a camera, shopping money and plan to spend the entire day. There is so much to cover and so many things to see. We waited until the end to stop by the winery for wine tasting, and that was awesome. If you are in North Carolina I would suggest you visit the Biltmore.

West Jefferson Grand Opening February 28, 2013
Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina held a grand opening for its new retail store in West Jefferson on Thursday, February 28. The new store, located at 1291 Mount Jefferson Rd., is designed to the U.S. Green Building Council's stringent LEED standards, which are the national benchmarks for high performance green buildings.
Goodwill has been in the business of recycling for over 100 years, so building a green facility is a natural extension of our mission, said Jaymie Eichorn, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Goodwill. We have received generous support from our donors in this area and we are excited at the opportunity to serve the West Jefferson community with our newest store.
Store staff, local officials, and members of Goodwill's executive management team attended the ribbon cutting ceremony which began at 8am. Afterwards, customers browsed the vast inventory of clothing, furniture, shoes, toys, and home decor, as well as new items for sale.
The West Jefferson store will be open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm, and on Sunday from 1pm to 6pm.

Lyrics
Verse 1
Life full’a turmoil planet full’a pain
People full’a problems that’s how we’re the same
Everybody’s strugglin’ look at who you’re followin’
Even when we get back up everybody falls again
That’s the nature of the beast
To everybody who we lost along the way rest in peace
Said we’re just tryin’ to find our way
As we’re prayin’ and cryin’ out for better days
Lookin’ at the optics lookin’ for some help
Worshipin' dolla bills idolizing wealth
Everybody wonders why they’re feelin’ dead inside
They’re drinkin’ all the time just barely gettin’ by
Can’t have relationships they’re always fadin’ quick
Ain’t eatin’ right up all night always feelin’ sick
Welcome to this thang called life
Keep yourself focused don’t believe the hype
Chorus
They say when it rains it pours
Til’ you don’t know who you are anymore
So we strive reachin’ high to the sky
We know it’s hard but we also know we gotta try
Verse 2
I don’t know what to do now (MOVE FORWARD)
But everything's going so fast (MOVE SLOWER)
But everybody’s always in my way (MOVE OVER)
But I’m so far away from God now (MOVE CLOSER)
Enough with the excuses this is gettin’ ruthless
If you really wanna make a change you can do this
If I took up the reins then you can do the same
Motivated by the pain armin’ up and takin’ aim
They say that you’re your worst enemy
When people lay down that’s the worst tragedy
Fight to the death til’ your last breath
With all of your life til’ there’s none left
Life was a gift you were given with grace
So look to the heavens with a smile on your face
You’re putting the time you’re puttin’ in the work
Make yourself shine be the light of the earth
Chorus
They say when it rains it pours
Til’ you don’t know who you are anymore
So we strive reachin’ high to the sky
We know it’s hard but we also know we gotta try

Its been an amazing but irregular past 52 days since Dionne and I decided that my dignity and respect shouldn’t be overlooked any longer, within a system that states “to prepare, protect, and prevent” is their mission; as we all have witnessed that the system has yet to prepare righting the wrong for the indifferent, protect my right to be treated as the woman I have become, [and] prevent by refusing to be proactive to [sic] the constant fear I have been exposed to by housing me in an all-male facility—predator versus prey. I haven’t given up nor lost the faith. I know no one has personally walked in my shoes, but know this walk is not the easiest one, and it’s impossibly hard at times. But I never forget who I am, even though the world within these walls will try to break you. Women like myself have survived through hardships, trauma, and abuse from all sides, for centuries. I will never forget that we are who we are due to the strength and perseverance of women who came before me. I will fight for all of my transwomen and transmen that will sadly follow behind me so they can have a voice—a very thunderous voice that speaks volumes! I’m going to make it! I am going to come out of this, and make it to the other side! It’s still okay to hurt, to cry, and to break down, but I will not allow anyone to keep me down! I am a phenomenal woman, and we don’t stay down for long!
The public fight has to continue until I am safe within the North Carolina DPS [Department of Public Safety] women’s facility, and all of my affirming medical care is a top priority. We have to continue pestering the Governor [Roy Cooper], [Department of Public Safety Director of Prisons] Kenneth Lassiter, [Department of Public Safety Secretary] Erik Hooks, and requesting that our state Representatives step in and make a change. Continue the public rallies, Teach-Ins, and being the humble Super Heroes everyone has transformed into [to] show that Trans Life Matters, and the LGBT community has a voice, and we will not be silenced. Our voice will be heard. The best you possible is the only way; it reflects on everyone you encounter. Shine brighter, not bright!
I sincerely thank Josh Shaffer with [the] News and Observer, Amanda Lamb and Chad Flowers with WRAL TV-5, Southerners On New Ground and their organizers, BYP100 and their activists, ACLU of North Carolina Legal Foundation, ACLU National, Equality North Carolina and all of your chapter members, LGBTQ Center of Raleigh, [Pop-Up] LGBTQ Center of Carrboro, LGBTQ [Center] in Alamance, TRANSformers of Asheville, Good Shepard United Church of Christ of Cary, Black and Pink-Montana Chapter, Trans Law Center, Triangle TransLadies Social, TransNetwork of Durham, UNC School of Social Work, Duke Law School, and all 182 writers of the astonishing letters I have received in the past 52 days. All of this would not have been continuously possible without the boldness and courage of the great individuals who have gone well over the posted speed limit in making sure I am learned about, loved, and thought for.
Thank you, my devoted husband, and every brave gender [sic] that has weathered the storm, and called, wrote, stood, and spoke in reference to #TransferKanauticaNow. I see you Tommi, Ash, Sneha, Chase, Serena, Riley B., Riley R. Amina, Y.M., Kenechi, Chris, Jasper, Anole, Ames, Erin, Tiz, and many, many, many others. I hear you, and thanks for affirming that I am not alone. Surely our higher power has a plan and purpose for our life. I thank you for being the selflessness [sic], and allowing me to enter into your life. I don’t take this for granted; it’s pure gratitude. I am with love and solidarity.

Then I have a little poem. It says: “You may write me down in history with your bitter twisted lies, you may trod me in the very dust, but still like dust, I rise.”

Thank you!

Undercover: Horses Abused at Top Training Barn
An undercover investigator with The Humane Society of the United States has documented trainers and grooms cruelly “soring” Tennessee walking horses to create an exaggerated and unnatural gait known as the “big lick.” The investigation focused on ThorSport Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which is well-known and highly regarded within the big lick show world.
Tale Inn, Amazing Tiny Cottage in Alabama, A Sweet Little Southern Style Cottage
We came across this tiny jewel of a cottage on Airbnb. The “Tale Inn” is located in Fairhope, a town on the Gulf Coast south of Mobile, Alabama. Its pleasing proportions, welcoming porch and authentic architectural details give it tremendous curb appeal.
Like most homes in the South, the cottage features a gracious front porch. Although not large, the porch provides enough room for a couple of people to sit and chat on hot, muggy days. The cottage and porch are covered by a single hipped roof, a popular choice in coastal areas vulnerable to hurricanes. The low eaves on all sides give it better resistance to high winds than other roof forms.
A large part of the cottage’s appeal has to do with the little dormer up on the roof and the real functioning window shutters (unlike the narrow tacked-on “shutters” on many tract houses that are clearly too small to cover the windows). But aside from the dormer and the window shutters, the front façade has little in the way of added adornment. Basic board and batten siding is paired with a standard metal roofing profile, the porch columns are just unadorned 6×6 posts, and the window/door trim is quite modest. These elements, however, come together in a way that is much more than the sum of the parts.
The small house has an open living space at the front, with the kitchen on one side and the living room on the other side. The front door leads somewhat abruptly into the kitchen area. There is no real entry area and no obvious place to leave shoes or umbrellas. Since there seems to be quite a bit of kitchen storage, I would consider moving the fridge and putting a coat closet in that corner by the door.
The one bedroom and bathroom are at the back, under a storage loft. The bathroom is accessed from the bedroom, as is a small laundry room. A louvered opening between the living room and bedroom allows breezes to flow through the home.
The interior walls all have beadboard paneling with plain 1×4 baseboard and ceiling trim. The inside window and door casings are again done in a fairly simple Craftsman style, but check out the curved head casing with decorative cutout over the front door. That just took a flat board, a jigsaw and a bit of imagination. Little details like that can take even a builder-basic drywall box from boring to breathtaking.
If you’re going to be in the Mobile area, the Tale Inn cottage can be rented through Airbnb.

Welcome to this beautiful two-story home located in the Cary neighborhood of Renaissance Cottages at Regency! The HOA handles the landscaping – low maintenance living! The foyer greets you with gleaming hardwood floors that carry through-out most of the main level. The formal dining room has a four-column entry and features a trey ceiling and wainscoting. Cooking is a delight in the kitchen that hosts stainless steel appliances, granite counters, tall cabinets with crown and under-cab lights, a tile backsplash, and recessed lights. Enjoy your morning coffee in the breakfast area. Next to the kitchen is a mud room with a built-in for coats and shoes. The spacious family room features a fireplace flanked with bookshelves. Have sweet dreams in the first floor master suite that boasts a trey ceiling, plush carpet, and a walk-in closet. The luxury bath has a double granite vanity, tile floors, and a huge tile-surround walk-in shower. Journey upstairs and you’ll find a loft area with closet space. The three bedrooms are each a nice size with large closets. The full bath has a double granite vanity, tile floors, and a separate area with the tile-surround tub/shower and toilet. There’s also a media room on the 2nd floor that features a wet bar and a double door closet. Relax after a long day in the screened porch. The deck offers plenty of space for grilling and entertaining. The fenced backyard and peaceful wooded views add privacy. Combined with a central location to shopping and restaurants, this home is move-in ready!
