SIZZLING Tex Mex FEAST + Rice Farm Tour and JAX Craft Beers | Jacksonville, Florida
During my visit to Jacksonville, Florida I had an epic day visiting Florida's only rice farm, eating a sizzling Tex Mex feast and visiting one of Jacksonville's best breweries!
MY FILM MAKING KIT ►
On my second morning in Jacksonville I started off the morning by heading to Fox Diner, an American style diner with some delicious with some delicious southern American breakfast.
Next I drop 30 minutes north to Congaree and Penn, the only rice farm in the state of Florida. Their I tried some cider and went blackberry picking. It was one of my favorite authentic Floridan experiences ever!
For lunch I headed to El Jefe Tex Mex and had a huge feast! From Tamalas, to Queso Fondido and some other Tex Mex delicacies this one of my favortie Tex Mex meals of all time! It was so good!
To end the day I headed to Engine 15 Brewing. Sean the co-owner gave me a tour of the brewery and then I tried a flight of their amazing beers. My favorite was their Cherry Lime Gose.

Jacksonville FL - Top Tourist Attractions in Jacksonville Florida for Families - Top Flight Family
Jacksonville FL is so family-friendly! Here are the top tourist attractions in Jacksonville Florida we visited on our recent trip there. Enjoy this family travel vlog! SUBSCRIBE:
While it’s actually the largest city in the state, Jacksonville has a small town feel; everyone seems to know each other by name! Overall, the city provides a great mix of urban energy, laid-back beach vibes, and a welcoming sense of southern hospitality.

Jacksonville is often thought of as a layover city: just the location of an airport you might use on your way to another destination. Anymore, however, that’s simply not the case. It's becoming a popular business hub, with many large financial services companies, like Deutsche Bank, now calling the city home. In fact, when I told my friend at a large investment bank that I’d soon be vacationing in Jacksonville, she told me that many of her New York colleagues have been receiving offers to relocate there. Lucky for visitors and residents alike, this new influx of professional talent brings fabulous new restaurants and attractions. And of those attractions, there’s no shortage of things to do with kids in Jacksonville, FL.
During my family’s recent long weekend trip to Jacksonville, we were really impressed with the spirit of partnership and community we saw throughout the city. From small businesses partnering to cross-promote their brands, to stores leveraging their customer base to help fundraise for the city's less fortunate, the spirit of camaraderie was evident.

The amount of revitalization and community partnership happening downtown is really impressive. Whether you want live music, outdoor excursions, or just downtime at the beach, you’ll be surprised by the variety of fun things to do in Jacksonville, FL.

PHP for beginners is a how to series that teaches the PHP coding language to people who are just starting out learning programming. The course teaches how PHP scripting can be made easy and teaches how to build many apps such as a login system, a comment section, how to upload images, how to create users in a website, and much more. Creating dynamic websites with PHP is easy and should not be seen as otherwise, which is why we want to explain the language in a easy to understand way for beginners.
If you have suggestions on new courses, or specific lessons within existing courses you would like to see, then feel welcome to submit them in the comment section or in a private message. ALL suggestions will be seen, but not all will be replied to since we get quite a few every day.

Local Craft Beer, Local distillery and much more
In this episode of I Know Jax we start out by visiting a local brewery, Bottlenose Brewing. I get a chance to taste some of their core beers, and I also take a look at what kind of food they have to offer.
My friend David from Manifest Distilling is again making me a delicious cocktail. I won't say that this one was my favorite, because honestly, they were all so good I just can't pick a favorite. But this one, is outstanding. It's a Manhattan with a twist. So if you're into Manhattans, this one is for you.
As usual, I talk about craft beer happenings. Right now, there's plenty of Oktoberfest events in our area. I'm also heading out to the airport to talk to Frontier Airlines and you'll get details about our new, amazing give away. Yes, you can win a trip for two to Las Vegas. I will be sending out all the details in my newsletter the Insider, so if you want to take part, head over to iknowjax.com and make sure you're subscribing to my newsletter.

Find fun things to do in Jacksonville Florida including the best restaurants to visit as well as great craft breweries and of course all the festivals and events that happen in The River City. Visit for all the details.
5. Bonnie Parker and Blanche Barrow: The Bluest Shot-At Eyes in Texas
Bonnie Parker Thornton and Blanche Caldwell Callaway were two despondent flappers at the close of the 1920s. In fact, the popular 1929 song “Am I Blue?” could have been written for them. But in 1930, at the start of the U.S.’s Great Depression, they met two brothers, Clyde and Buck, who were known as the ‘Barrow Gang.’ Somehow, these two petty criminals and ex-cons won the hearts of Bonnie and Blanche to the extent that neither woman would desert them, even when the Barrow brothers’ violent deaths were inevitable and their own lives were in danger. This episode presents the details of their hardscrabble lives before, during, and–in Blanche’s case–after voluntarily becoming road-mates with the men who eventually became murderers and the subjects of one of the largest manhunts of the 1930s. Bonnie and Blanche were at once tough and vulnerable, glamorous and unsophisticated, self-centered and utterly devoted to others.
This is the fifth episode in the podcast’s first season, “Accessories to Murder.” All images are publicly accessible through Google.com and are included here through Fair Use.
