Day trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, and a Epic Fail in the Mountains
I go on a day trip to explore Santa Fe, New Mexico by foot. We visit the historic plaza, the Loretto Chapel and it's miraculous staircase, the St. Francis Cathedral, Artsy Canyon Road, and the oldest house in the United States. Then I get lost in the mountains looking for the Tent Rocks, and the road was closed.

ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO VLOG
3 days, 3 nights in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
Crossing off the last state in the American Southwest off my bucket list and finding unexpected beauty along the way. Here are some of my highlights:
WHAT TO EAT-
Tia Betty Blue's
A New Mexican restaurant with a modern twist. Huge portions too! For the savory palate, get the smothered burrito with red chile sauce. For the sweet palate, get the blue corn waffles with house made lavender whipped cream. Their matcha green tea latte isn't too shabby either.
Mary and Tito's
Another no-frills New Mexican style diner. The beef and cheese burrito smothered with red chile sauce is simple, but great. The spiciness between red or green chile depends on the day, so rather than asking what chile you should get, ask which chile is spicier that day.
WHAT TO DRINK-
Ten 3
Located on the top of the Sandia Mountains accessible by their tram, come here for their drinks. They do hot toddies as well as craft cocktails.
LVL 5
Located in the sleek and modern Hotel Chaco, you get a wonderful panoramic view of the Sandia Mountains and Albuquerque skyline from the fifth floor. Their Sandia sunset cocktail (tequila, watermelon syrup, and orange juice) parallels the colors of the Sandia mountains Sandia is the Spanish word for watermelon, named after the color of the mountains at sunset.
Founders Speakeasy
Located inside the liquor store through the employees only entrance. It's a homey but cool underground speakeasy bar with a modest menu, but the bartenders can also make customized drinks depending on your preferences.
WHAT TO SEE-
Sandia Mountains
Round trip tickets on the tram to the top of the mountains are $25. The views of the city from the top of the mountain is truly stunning. Keep in mind that the temperatures and winds can be a lot chillier at the peak than in the city, so layer up.
WHAT TO DO-
New Mexico Escape Room
Not to be missed. Yes, there are escape rooms everywhere but this one has one USA Today's Top 10 escape rooms in the country. It is difficult but truly immersive and next level. So fun we went back twice. We did the Duel at Dusk and Bombshell. Of the two, Bombshell was more immersive but also more difficult.
Is New Mexico on your list?

SCOTTISH GIRL'S FIRST TIME IN NEW MEXICO, USA | ALBUQUERQUE
AD - The US embassy sent 9 of us on the trip of a lifetime to the USA, exploring American values through TV shows. In this vlog, we visit Albuquerque (Breaking Bad) but the previous vlogs were filmed in Washington DC (The West Wing) and Indianapolis (Parks and Rec). The last vlog in the series will be from LA (general TV). We weren't required to create content for this trip, so all footage and opinions are my own. This was my favourite part of the entire trip! We met with the ABQ Police Department to discuss the opioid crisis and gun violence, visited the Old Town and Santa Fe, Meow Wolf, El Pinto, a diner and the absolute best part, La Plazita where we met with some really cool people. Enjoy!

Albuquerque, New Mexico - Breaking Bad, Old Town, Nuclear Energy and Sandia Peak
Product: Country Bound Microfiber Towel
Today we explore Albuquerque, New Mexico. Being a Breaking Bad fan I started my day by visiting some of the show's locations, including Twister's also known as Los Pollos Hermanos, Walter Whites house, the Car Wash, and Hank's home. Then I went to Old Town, had lunch at the oldest house Church Street Cafe. Then I visited the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, and finally took a ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway.

Rocky Mountain Heisenberg (Pt. 23) - Breaking Bad Tour of Albuquerque, New Mexico
July 4, 2018 - A visit to New Mexico these days isn't complete until you've done a self-guided tour of all of the Breaking Bad filming locations around Albuquerque. It's been a few years since I've seen this amazing show, so I kept my tour to just the main locations I could discover: the house of Walter White and his family (Skylar, Walt Jr., and Holly); the office of Saul Goodman; the A1A Car Wash; the Pinkman residence; and, finally, doubling as our lunch location for the day, Los Pollos Hermanos (aka Twisters).
Los Pollos Hermanos was easily the most interactive - in fact, not only are they clearly proud of being a part of the show's history (a very important part, in fact!), but they have episodes of the series filmed at their location airing for your viewing pleasure. Or it's just proof that the show was filmed there. Or both? It was fun to have lunch in the one booth where Walt and Gus first met.
Another great looking eatery which isn't a part of the show (but makes food inspired by the show!) is Rebel Donut. There are a few locations around the ABQ - the one location we went to was a stone's throw away from the northeast sector of town where the White house is. It's a shame they ran out of Blue Sky donuts because of the 4th of July holiday today...
Speaking of these private residences, be mindful of peoples' privacy when you're in the residential areas. Don't be throwing any pizzas on the roof - it's not polite, and it's a waste of pizza!

Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder Hotel & Casino, Pojoaque Pueblo
Our Hometown Hero , George Rivera, inspired the pueblo look of the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder Hotel and Casino. This is a huge hotel with a lobby filled with priceless real Native American art, including George Rivera's Buffalo Dancer sculpture, at the entrance of the Hotel. It has the Towa Golf Course, Red Sage Restaurant, and Wo Pin Spa. Located a few miles north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

It's not your typical map of Albuquerque. In fact, some people said the person or people, who created it, crossed the line between funny and offensive.
