Flying to JAPAN for the FIRST TIME on a 787 Dreamliner | Miami to Tokyo
In January of 2019, I had my first travel adventure of the year when I spent twelve incredible days exploring the island nation of Japan! I’ve been dreaming of going there my entire life, so when I got the opportunity to immerse myself in its long, rich culture, and try its world-famous cuisine, I jumped at the chance. This is one of my favorite trips I’ve ever gone on and I hope you enjoy watching my experiences there!
My day started with me I heading off to Miami International Airport, where I caught a quick, 2-hour American Airlines flight to Dallas-Fort Worth. Once in Dallas-Fort Worth, I took the airport’s Skylink to the gate for my flight to Tokyo, which would start boarding just 25 minutes after I arrived.
My flight to Tokyo was my first time traveling on a 787 Dreamliner. Onboard, I made quick friends with my seat neighbor, Brian, who had never flown before! I discovered that the window didn’t have the usual pull-down shade; instead, it came with a battery-operated dimmer that you could use to control the amount of light that comes in. I had one of the worst seats on the plane, in the very last row near the tail, where you can feel the tailwinds, but at least I could recline my seat! The flight was 13 hours long, so thankfully I had lots of movies to keep me occupied.
My in-flight meal was beef stir-fry (with chopsticks), a beer, coleslaw, and a sea salt caramel bar. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had on American Airlines in Economy Class. I spent the rest of the flight alternating between sleeping, having another meal, and watching a couple of movies. My anticipation for arriving in Japan was growing by the minute. I couldn’t wait to get there!
After roughly 16 hours of traveling, I finally arrived at Narita International Airport! My first experience on a Dreamliner was amazing overall, but the staff wasn’t as nice as I would have liked. They didn’t let me film much onboard, but that’s OK because my amazing Japanese adventure was about to begin!
Narita International Airport is roughly 90 minutes outside Tokyo, so in order to get to the city, I had to arrange some transportation, but I’ll save that for the next video. For now, please enjoy a quick sneak peek of my upcoming Japanese adventures!
I hope you enjoyed this video of my first experience flying to Japan! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment below. Also, please subscribe to my channel and click the notification bell so you don’t miss any of my upcoming food and travel content!

Flight | Miami, USA to London, UK
The last video in the playlist. We left Miami on a wet, stormy evening after having an amazing week in Florida and the 2 week cruise around the southern Caribbean aboard Carnival Glory.
Our flight home was aboard a British Airways A380 (BA 208) from Miami International Airport (KMIA) to London Heathrow (EGLL). The tail no. was G-XLEA.
It was a very comfortable flight and the in-flight entertainment as you'd expect on a new aircraft though the seat was not as comfortable as the one I had on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner ;-)
The A380 was very quiet (The sound level for take-off was not editted or adjusted, it really was that quiet), and probably would be even quieter if you had forward upper deck tickets - though a bigger wallet would be required for the change in ticket class!

MY TRIP TO FT LAUDERDALE, MIAMI & TAMPA - USA | 2019
Miami, Florida - Miami International Airport MIA Mover (2019)
The MIA Mover is an automated people mover (APM) system which opened at the Miami International Airport (MIA) in metropolitan Miami, Florida, United States on September 9, 2011. The MIA Mover is designed to quickly transport landside passengers between Miami International Airport's Main Terminal and the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). The MIA Mover is one of three separate automated people movers operating at the airport. The others are the Skytrain, which operates within Concourse D, and the MIA e Train people mover connecting Concourse E's satellite building.
Miami International Airport, also known as MIA and historically as Wilcox Field, is the primary airport serving the Miami area, with over 1,000 daily flights to 167 domestic and International destinations. The airport is in an unincorporated area in Miami-Dade County, Florida, 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Downtown Miami, in metropolitan Miami, between the cities of Miami, Hialeah, Doral, Miami Springs, the village of Virginia Gardens, and the unincorporated Fontainebleau neighborhood.
It is South Florida's main airport for long-haul international flights and a hub for the Southeastern United States, with passenger and cargo flights to cities throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Western Asia, as well as cargo flights to East Asia. It is the largest gateway between the United States and south to Latin America, and is one of the largest airline hubs in the United States, owing to its proximity to tourist attractions, local economic growth, large local Latin American and European populations, and strategic location to handle connecting traffic between North America, Latin America, and Europe.
In 2018, 45,044,312 passengers traveled through the airport, making the airport the 40th busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic. The airport also ranks as the 12th busiest airport in the United States in terms of passenger traffic, and is also the second-busiest airport in the State of Florida. The airport also handled more international cargo than any other airport in the United States.
The airport is American Airlines' primary gateway to Latin America (Central America, Caribbean Sea / West Indies islands, South America) along with a domestic hub for its regional affiliate American Eagle in the U.S.A. It also serves as a focus city for Avianca, Frontier Airlines, and LATAM, both for passengers and cargo operations. In the past, it has been a hub for Braniff International Airways, Eastern Air Lines, Air Florida, the original National Airlines, the original Pan American World Airways (Pan Am), United Airlines, Iberia Airlines and Fine Air.
