Very cool place! and a very short walk to both waterfalls. I made this video a little longer than most video's on here due to the fact that I could clearly see the Mountain pine beetle is slowly attacking pine trees over just a few years in this area! :( No color changes or saturation added! 1920x1080 HD 30fps

Helmcken Falls is a 141 m waterfall on in Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada. The protection of Helmcken Falls was one of the reasons for the creation of Wells Gray Provincial Park in 1939.
Helmcken Falls is the fourth highest waterfall in Canada, measured by total straight drop without a break. Higher Canadian waterfalls are Hunlen Falls in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park, and Della Falls in Strathcona Provincial Park, all in British Columbia.Dawson Falls is one of seven waterfalls on the Murtle River in Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada.
The Wells Gray Park road passes close to Dawson Falls. The main viewpoint is a 10-minute walk and it is another few minutes to the top of the waterfall.(Wikipedia)

Clearwater is in British Columbia Canada, about an hour and a half north of Kamloops on Highway 5. Clearwater is the gateway to Wells Gray Park and very well sign posted off the highway...there are other Falls to get to , even in winter - so if you are coming up for a visit, make sure you also stop off first at Spahats - these Falls are worth the short walk in to see.

Last of the waterfall tour on my annual spring vacation stop in Wells Gray Provincial Park is the main attraction Helmcken Falls. Helmcken Falls is the fourth highest waterfall in Canada and is almost three times as tall as Niagara Falls in Ontario. This waterfall was the catalyst on creating Wells Gray Provincial Park originally and encompasses all the waterfalls seen in my waterfall tour. Like my other videos in my waterfall tour I've captured this with my Samsung Galaxy S9 Edge.

#Helmckenfalls hiking for roughly 3hrs. Quite easy if you get to the parking lot right before pyramid campground. The view is best by hike rather than the car route lookout point.

In this episode my girlfriend and I head on a camping trip to wells grey for the weekend. In this first episode we explore Helmcken falls and all its beauty and wonder. Not only do we go to the viewing platform but we also take the rim trail and check it out from the other side while braving a 400 foot cliff with no safety railings

Wells Gray Park Series: World's Wildest Ice Cave - Helmcken Falls (Short Film)
There's not much that needs to be said about the 200m high Helmcken Falls other than this: it is currently the hardest mixed-route ice and rock climb in the known world.
The fourth-highest waterfall in Canada is backdropped by a massive, upside-down amphitheatre of overhanging rock. Spray from the waterfalls hit the wall, covering it in a thick (and sometimes thin) layer of ice. But despite freezing ice spray from the waterfall, British climber Tim Emmett, and Klemen Premrl, from Slovenia, conquered the notorious ice climb through a new route, Interstellar Spice.
