At more then 16,000 acres South Mountain Park consists of three mountain ranges, the Ma Ha Tauk, Gila and Guadalupe and is one of the largest municipally operated parks in the United States. Join me as I take a trip up the mountain. Along the way you will see some spectacular views of the city and valley below. There are 51 miles of primary trails for hiking and mountain biking. This park is a must see.
Hiking to The Wave, Arizona / Utah (HD) (GoPro)
The Wave is a sandstone rock formation located in the United States of America near the Arizona–Utah border, on the slopes of the Coyote Buttes, in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, on the Colorado Plateau. It is famous among hikers and photographers for its colorful, undulating forms, and the rugged, trackless hike required to reach it.
BLM limits access to the North Coyote Buttes Wilderness Area to just 20 permits per day.[9] Ten of the permits are available in advance by an on-line lottery conducted four months before the month for which the permit is sought. The remaining ten permits are made available by lottery the day before one's intended hike.[10] Year-round the lottery is held at the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument Visitor Center in Kanab, Utah. The lottery for the walk-in permits takes place at 9:00 in the morning
From the Wire Pass Trailhead, The Wave can be reached by hiking approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) across open desert, making the round-trip to and from The Wave nearly 6-mile (9.7 km) climbing about 350 feet (110 m) in altitude.
Temperatures in this area typically climb above 100 °F (38 °C) in the summer, so it is best to start the hike early. Anyone attempting the hike in any season is wise to be prepared for harsh desert conditions, including fierce winds, blowing sand, and no shade.

All music is by Ron Anderson
Mylungpuppy is the channel of musician Ron Anderson.
I have been making avant-music for over forty years in a number of different projects; PAK, The Molecules, RonRuins, numerous collaborations and solo. I combine composition and improvisation exploring the regions where they intersect. Sometimes my music is brutal, but I’m not afraid of melody, in general my work is pretty much out there.
The main focus of my channel is music, but I also make vlogs on various subjects, cycling, touring and traveling, vegan food, rare vinyl LPs, audio field recordings, etc. Because not everyone is going to be interested in all the subjects covered on this channel, I have made playlists so you do not have to search through videos to find what you are looking for.
I try to answer questions and respond to as many comments as I can, any and all feedback from you is welcome.
I'm trying to make at least one or two new videos a week.

A Two Mile Crack Has Opened Up In Arizona – And Experts Warn That It’s Only Going To Get Bigger

**************************************************************
In the arid wasteland of the Arizona desert, something enormous has appeared. It stretches out for miles, and scientists are pretty sure that it’s getting bigger. Yet this huge split in the earth isn’t a naturally occurring phenomena. No, the blame for it lays squarely on the shoulders of man.
Arizona is America’s sixth-largest state. It sits in the south of the country and shares a long border with Mexico. In terms of climate, while the north of the state is home to forests and endures heavy snow in the winter, the south is a different kettle of fish. And it’s there that the strange crack has appeared.
In the south of the state, the climate is considered desert. That means the area has long, hot summers and very mild winters. There are, though, actually three deserts in Arizona. The Chihuahuan Desert covers part of the southeast of the state, while the Mojave stretches into the west. The largest expanse of desert in Arizona is, however, the Sonoran.
And it’s in the Sonoran Desert that this enormous crack in the ground has appeared. The strange feature stretches for two miles in an area known as Pinal County, which is between Tucson and Casa Grande. But while the crack has been there for a couple of years, geologists are only now discovering the scope of it – thanks to the use of new technology.
Joseph Cook is a geologist who works with the Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS), and he was the first to spot the fissure. He didn’t make the find using traditional methods, mind you. Instead, Cook was at his computer when he discovered the opening in the ground. And that’s not the only technical innovation that the AZGS has used to investigate the crack.
You see, the first time Cook saw this new gap in the land, he was looking at images from Google Earth. That was back in December 2014. Cook then set out to map what he saw – but when he got there he realized that the imagery he’d seen was just the tip of the iceberg. The crack was much, much bigger.

Places to see in ( Phoenix - USA )
Phoenix is the capital of the southwestern U.S. state of Arizona. Known for its year-round sun and warm temperatures, it anchors a sprawling, multicity metropolitan area known as the Valley of the Sun. It's known for high-end spa resorts, Jack Nicklaus–designed golf courses and vibrant nightclubs. Other highlights include the Desert Botanical Garden, displaying cacti and numerous native plants.
Phoenix is the capital of the state of Arizona as well as the most populous city in the American Southwest and sixth largest city in the United States. Founded in 1871, it has become the region's primary political, cultural, economic, and transportation center. At an elevation of 1100 ft (335 m), it is situated in the biologically unique Sonoran Desert. Over time it has merged with the neighboring cities of Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert to form the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Currently exurbs such as Apache Junction, Fountain Hills, Queen Creek, and Sun City are becoming part of this metropolitan area as well. Phoenix is extremely hot in the summertime, so always have sun screen with you.
