Jet Ski to Bahamas and back in one day...PWCFLORIDA

We departed Miami, Florida on August 4th at 6:30AM. The weather forecast showed 1-2ft smooth seas for most of the day. On this trip we ran with 3 Yamaha Jet Ski's and a Mako 264 CC. Motor Boating - Lake Mead

Lake Mead is one of the largest reservoirs in the United States it holds up to 4 trillion gallons of water, and supplies water to over 25 million people in the States of California, Nevada and Arizona. The Hoover Dam was completed in 1936 blocking up the Colorado River in the Boulder Canyon. The water level is currently in drought mode but heavy snowfall this year should help fill it up. it is currently 148 feet below capacity at 1085 feet, with a full pool being 1229' which hasn't occurred since 1983. It's Crazy to see how much the water level fluctuates in this huge lake. if the lake level drops below 1075' it is considered drought conditions and they start rationing water in Nevada and Arizona, but not California because they have first priority on the water. If the lake level drops below 950' the hoover dam will lose its ability to generate electricity. in 2015 the completed a pipeline to extract water from a depth of 850'

Since the invention of the modern automobile, we have been in love with our cars, trucks and motorcycles. It’s hard to think how we could function on a daily basis without a personal car around to take us to the grocery store, movie theatre or over to a friend’s house. This mode of transportation is such an important part of most peoples’ lives that we have no idea how we’d cope if cars suddenly disappeared tomorrow. Sure, most cars pollute and after a decade or so we get rid of the old and bring in a new car – filling up wrecking yards and burnings tons of gasoline in the process. The automobile is so important that rather than develop a whole new mode of transportation we instead focus our energy on creating more efficient gasoline burning engines and new models of electric cars. Nonetheless, the car is an integral part of our lives and our culture.
Of course, many people have often heard the saying (but never really payed any attention to it) that driving is one of the most dangerous things we do in our daily lives. Indeed, getting behind the wheel of your ride and heading off to work or some other destination can be very dangerous. Statistically, the number crunchers say that you are far more likely to die driving your car than flying in a plane. The numbers seem to back this up by showing that over 90 people are killed every day in motor vehicle accidents in the US alone. It all makes sense once you think about it. If you think about all the people out on the road and add in distracted and drunk drivers, mechanical failures and bad weather then it’s easy to see why driving can be so dangerous.
But what about the actual sections of roads and highways that seemingly have a high number of accidents and fatalities all year round. That is, it can be bad enough driving on ‘regular’ roads and highways around the world but there are roads which, for whatever reason, just seem more dangerous than the rest. You are probably picturing the classic mountain side road, carved into the rock with minimal safety barriers and exposed to landslides and all the inclement weather you can think of. Yes, those roads are very dangerous, but they aren’t the only ones to avoid driving on.
As part two of our ‘dangerous roads’ series, we look at 10 roads you probably wouldn’t want to drive on. These motorways are found all across the world, in all sorts of environments and at all sorts of altitudes. There are the expected mountain roads – narrow and crumbling where one small mistake means you are going for a very long fall. There are also the remote and isolated highways running through deserts and the vastness of Siberia. There are even the sea level roads which provide their own nasty little surprise that can ruin your day (or life). We guarantee that after seeing this your daily commute will appear to be a walk in the park.

Finishing the Rubicon Trail and on to Truckee, CA - Ultimate Adventure 2016

Part 4 of Ultimate Adventure 2016. Once camp is made, the shenanigans invariably begin. After a long, hard day on the trail there’s nothing better than cooking dinner over an open campfire, relaxing in your tent, and watching your buddy’s face as he realizes you’ve wired his horn into his ‘fridge thermostat control. Okay, we didn’t do the horn trick (this year at least) but thanks to our early start on Day 4 we had camp set up with enough daylight left to bust out the water balloon cannon and some fun party tricks. Day 5 began with T-cases in Low Range and hubs locked – just the way we like it. We re-entered the trail from Buck Island Lake on the way to Big Sluice. And man, was it torn up. Ground up sheetmetal, snapped brake lines, and some other broken parts and field fix opportunities were our reward for a great day on the trail. Straight through Rubicon Springs with a little history lesson on our way up the off-camber, cliffhanging Cadillac Hill. Man, the fullsize Super Duty and Chevy trucks really enjoyed that! With the Rubicon behind us we made it more or less unscathed to our night’s stop in Truckee, CA. But one of our rigs wouldn’t be able to continue. Check the next episode to see who. California 'Glory Hole' drains reservoir after heavy rains

The water level in the Lake Berryessa reservoir, 75 miles north of San Francisco, has risen so much that, unusually, water is pouring into its overflow pipe, as can be seen in footage published by The Vacaville Reporter. The overflow, known as the Morning Glory Spillway, or simply the Glory Hole, drains water once the reservoir is over capacity and shoots it into a creek below the Monticello Dam.

But beyond that you'll see things like mountains, rivers, volcanoes... well, hopefully not a volcano. These are landforms and they come in different varieties. A few months ago we went to visit the incredible abandoned city called Slab City. It used to be a military base but hundreds of squatters came and made it their home. We went with our friend Justin Escalona and truly had a fascinating experience. We thought the place would be hostile and dangerous when in fact it was inviting and beautiful (in it's own way). Mermaids have become some of the most popular mythical creatures in the world. Perhaps we can blame Disney for this newfound obsession. But unlike Ariel, people are certainly wanting to trade their legs for mermaid tails and take refuge in the ocean. It’s not like this with the loch ness monster or even the chupacabra. While mermaids are certainly the product of fiction, there are theories out there that have made people believe that perhaps there may be some truth in it all. For centuries, there have been stories of mermaid sightings that have made it into our history books. Yet, there are still sightings happening today. Thanks to technology and the Internet, we not only know when there is a mermaid sighting, but we can also debunk it. These days, it’s easy to throw on a mermaid tail and fool some unsuspecting bystanders. But that still doesn’t stop us from dreaming about becoming a mermaid one day!

Bicycle Touring Ep. 14: We Found the #1 User of the Colorado River

We finally made it to Imperial Valley, California. Land of eternal sunshine, fertile land, and tons of water issues! What's the source for the these crops? The Colorado River!

The solution to keeping the Colorado River healthy and flowing becomes more and more complicated every time we learn another sector or city's story.

It was a beautiful part of the country to ride through! The Salton Sea was the WEIRDEST body of water we have ever been to...and it turns out the Imperial Valley and Salton Sea are completely interrelated!

Airstream Travel Day To Minnesota along the Beautiful Mississippi River

On this Airstream Life vLog, we head to Minnesota for the first time in the Airstream and we take you along for the ride. Why? Because we decided to take the more scenic route along the Mississippi River on our way north of St. Paul. The water was gorgeous! We even stopped at a super convenient rest stop with beautiful views. We love it when we can have a travel day where we get to see the area while driving!

We settle in at the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Campground north of St. Paul. This is a very nice county park campground with lots of room between the sites and a couple of loops with 50amp and water. That's' why we are here. We were supposed to be camping at a state park in Wisconsin without power but with the mid to high 80s and lots of humidity in the forecast for this week we changed plans. That's why it is always good to stay flexible and have backup plans!

Speaking of staying flexible, we were going to take you with us to a brewery and a miniature train museum in this video but we had to change plans. Why? Our temperature sensor in our Airstream turned off on the hottest day of the week. So we had to go back and check on the dogs. Luckily it was just our internet randomly shutting itself down but you never know. We will get to the train museum and take you along another time.

In the next video, we take you to the opening day of the Minnesota State Fair. Wow! So much fun even with all the people. The food and drink were amazing! So stay tuned for that.

Steep Alberta Falls Water Slide | Great Wolf Lodge Mason

This is the second Alberta Falls water slide at Great Wolf Lodge Mason, OH, United States. The partly open and partly enclosed tube slide features a nice layout with jumps and sharp turns.

The slide is located at the Bear Track Landing water park which can be accessed by resort guests only. Great Wolf Lodge Mason is situated in the outskirts of Cincinnati, right next to Kings Island theme park.
