KETC | Living St. Louis | Jefferson Barracks
From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Ruth Ezell tours Jefferson Barracks. What is now a St. Louis County Park once served as a training center for thousands of area soldiers. From its establishment in 1826 until it was closed in 1946, Jefferson Barracks—the nation's first Infantry School of Practice—supplied and prepared troops for battle in six of the United States' major military conflicts. Ezell tours the site with Jefferson Barracks Museum curator Marc Kollbaum and explores the center's role in equipping area servicemen and women for conflict during WWII. One of the things that surprised me was that during the height of the WWII draft, so many new servicemen were being processed at the facility that Jefferson Barracks became—in terms of population—the third-largest city in Missouri, says Ezell.

Albino Deer, Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis Mo
I spotted her and had no equipment with me except my iPhone! I was actually walking my dog which she seemed oblivious to our presence. That is not an uncommon behavior in the park boundaries as there are deer in abundance and they are very use to the presence of daily walkers, bicycles and car traffic.
This park is St.Louis Counties crown jewel, boasting rich historical significance. More on the park can be found below in the links..PLEASE SUBSCRIBE

Albino Deer~Jefferson Barracks Park
A rare glance at an Albino Deer. I was setting up my calibration on my drone when it caught my eye.I'm glad I hadn't powered it up yet as it would have certainly scared her off. Blessed to live so close to such an awesome park.

Just think about it.
Time-lapse Video Driving Tour: 270-255 Loop Around St. Louis - Summer 2013
This short time-lapse video takes you all the way around St. Louis via the 270-255 loop. Drive by Westport Plaza, the Aquaport, The Mills Outlet Mall, Boeing, Florissant Valley Community College, cross the Chain of Rocks Bridge (and Canal Bridge), drive by Fairmount Park, Cahokia Mounds, GCS Ballpark, St. Louis Downtown Airport, cross the Jefferson Barracks Bridge, past South County Center, Museum of Transportation, and West County Center.... all in about 2 minutes.
This time-lapse video also contains some unexpected footage. Right after crossing the JB Bridge, a motorcycle flew past, swerved a few times, then did a wheelie for about 15-20 seconds while speeding down the highway.
Enjoy!
