LeMay Marymount Museum, Tacoma Washington
I was fortunate enough to visit the LeMay Marymount collection / museum this past weekend while on a family trip to Tacoma.
Here are a few clips some of the cool motorcycles that they have on display and just a few of the more than 1,500 cars!
It's an amazing eclectic collection. It seems that Harold LeMay loved collecting cars and vehicles of every kind. I spent about 3 hours there and only skimmed the surface. It was a really enjoyable time and the volunteer team members were just great.
LeMay - America's Car Museum Full Walk Around
Harold Lucky LeMay's legendary car collection is widely regarded as one of the largest and the best car collections in the world, which he started from his earnings as a successful businessman. Shortly after LeMay graduated high school, he started in an automotive business, when someone lended him a garbage truck. With this truck, LeMay started Spanaway Garbage Collection Company, which later became Harold LeMay Enterprises. His refuse company became one of the largest in the Tacoma, Washington area. LeMay went on to make a fortune with Harold LeMay Enterprises, as well as other companies such as Lucky Towing, Helm Trucking, and Lucky Sales & Services. With the money he made off his businesses, he purchased cars, trucks, motorcycles, and memorabilia, eventually owning one of the largest private automobile collections in the world. At its peak of the collection, LeMay owned over 3,000 cars! Despite his success and wealth, LeMay was known to be a down-to-earth and kind man.
LeMay - America's Car Museum is one of 2 public exhibits that preserves LeMay's legacy, and houses around 350 of the LeMay's automobiles. Another property in Marymount, the LeMay Family collection, houses an additional 500 of LeMay's automobiles.
We first heard of the LeMay collection about 4 years ago, so it was very nice to finally visit the museum to get a taste of what the LeMay collection has to offer. Although we didn't get to see a majority of the collection, we were impressed at the rarity and quality of the cars at the museum! This is definitely a must see for any car enthusiast if you happen to be in the Tacoma, Washington area.

HVAC is an important part of residential structures such as single family homes, apartment buildings, hotels and senior living facilities, medium to large industrial and office buildings such as skyscrapers and hospitals, onboard vessels, and in marine environments, where safe and healthy building conditions are regulated with respect to temperature and humidity, using fresh air from outdoors.
Heaters are appliances whose purpose is to generate heat (i.e. warmth) for the building. This can be done via central heating. Such a system contains a boiler, furnace, or heat pump to heat water, steam, or air in a central location such as a furnace room in a home, or a mechanical room in a large building. The heat can be transferred by convection, conduction, or radiation.

SUMMARY
=======
Tacoma ( tə-KOH-mə) is a midsized urban port city and the county seat of Pierce County, Washington, United States. The city is on Washington's Puget Sound, 32 miles (51 km) southwest of Seattle (of which it is the largest satellite city), 31 miles (50 km) northeast of the state capital, Olympia, and 58 miles (93 km) northwest of Mount Rainier National Park. The population was 198,397, according to the 2010 census. Tacoma is the second-largest city in the Puget Sound area and the third-largest in the state. Tacoma also serves as the center of business activity for the South Sound region, which has a population around 1 million.
Tacoma adopted its name after the nearby Mount Rainier, originally called Takhoma or Tahoma. It is locally known as the City of Destiny because the area was chosen to be the western terminus of the Northern Pacific Railroad in the late 19th century. The decision of the railroad was influenced by Tacoma's neighboring deep-water harbor, Commencement Bay. By connecting the bay with the railroad, Tacoma's motto became When rails meet sails. Commencement Bay serves the Port of Tacoma, a center of international trade on the Pacific Coast and Washington's largest port.
Like most industrial cities, Tacoma suffered a prolonged decline in the mid-20th century as a result of suburbanization and divestment. Since the 1990s, developments in the downtown core include the University of Washington Tacoma; Tacoma Link, the first modern electric light rail service in the state; the state's highest density of art and history museums; and a restored urban waterfront, the Thea Foss Waterway.
Tacoma has been named one of the most livable areas in the United States. In 2006, Tacoma was listed as one of the most walkable cities in the country. That same year, the women's magazine Self named Tacoma the Most Sexually Healthy City in the United States.Tacoma gained notoriety in 1940 for the collapse of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which earned the nickname Galloping Gertie.
Preparations for July 4th, 2019. It's loud! Tacoma
The Air Force's F-16 Viper Demo team is about to put a Fighting Falcon through its paces at Tacoma's Freedom Fair celebration on July 4, 2019.
For the first time in seven years, military jets will be back in the air for the Fourth of July Tacoma Freedom Fair and Air Show. The annual event takes place along the Ruston Way waterfront.
This year, all three military branches that offer aerial demonstrations will be flying over Commencement Bay.
