Locke EVP Session
Locke, California
During a recent paranormal scouting expedition, Hauntology Productions and friends ventured into the mysterious town of “Locke” located in California's Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta area.
Founded in 1915 by Chinese immigrants who decided it was time to establish a town of their own. Locke is one of the only towns in the United States built exclusively by the Chinese for the Chinese and at a time when Chinese immigrants were not allowed to own land. At its peak 600 residents and as many as 1500 people occupied the town which had many businesses including a gambling hall, boarding house and brothel.
Our friend, loyal “Box Talker” and faithful scout Bill Ordway got us an “all access pass” into the most unique and hidden parts of this interesting but little known town. These are the first samples of evidence Debbie Caspers captured on her cell phone while conducting a preliminary walk through of the Dai Loy Gambling Hall, Opium Den and Brothel.
Check back soon for more evidence from this interesting and unusual town.

5) Locke California Dispute - LMA meeting April 14, 2015
Locke, California Board of Directors LMA (in 6 parts) April 14, 2015. Chairman Correia disallows Property Owner Esch from speaking to issues on agenda in violation of Brown Act. Listen to his answers. Lack of transparency to public. Self-elected board since 2010 in violation of Bylaws. CC&R violations. State of California laws ignored. Unconstitutional ROFR racially-restrictive covenant Right of First Refusal lawsuit by this board against Esch (the public audience member). 5 (later, 6) Directors of LMA's prescribed 13 member Board of Directors does not constitute a quorum (majority of 13). Four of the five board seats have been vacant for two+years, well-over the 4 month limit. Parenting Sacramento County Board of Supervisors has the right to re-assign LMA's vacant seats, but likely has not been informed by LMA of its vacancies. Oversight and consequences for these self-benefitting board members needed. Better yet, dissolve the LMA, and stop their Unconstitutional race-based lawsuit on Esch and its four year (so far) bleed on the Locke Home Owners' treasury fund. Illegal voting actions. Ongoing Brown Act and FPPC violations by Board. California Department of Real Estate non-compliance. Conflict of interest among 5 of the current Locke Directors who are business partners, landlord-tenants, and domestic partners with one another. Most haven't filed their required 700 forms in years, Public Record requests ignored. Public financial records of LMA are tightly shielded from public requests. Homeowners' assessments were raised an additional 20% in 2012 without required Homeowners' special hearing, and votes for the special (non-improvement) purpose of further funding LMA's (ongoing) race-based lawsuit against Esch.
Dissolve LMA and return the governance of historic Locke, California (population 80) to the County.

Below is an article that is a blast from the past. HPI (Halo Paranormal Investigations) was the first paranormal group that ever investigated the Town of Locke. The citizens of Locke actually informed HPI that we were the first. When I wrote about our investigation, many other paranormal groups investigated Locke and the word got out to Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventures crew. You will soon see a TV segment on their investigation of the Town of Locke. HPI was also the first paranormal group that investigated the Ryde Hotel as seen here:
The management of the Ryde Hotel had me interview their employees. When the article was published, management of the Ryde Hotel made claim that their employees were lying and fabricated their paranormal stories of the Ryde Hotel. On a side note, the employees still claim their stories are true. Who knows? The Management of the Ryde Hotel asked me to please fictionalize the name of the hotel and so in the old article I called the Ryde Hotel, the Fite Hotel. Now you know. You will see pictures in this article of The Good Servant Orphanage. A researcher in Vallejo was able to find the location of where the Good Servant Orphanage was once at. These are his photographs. Enjoy! Paul Dale Roberts – Co-Owner of HPI.
Special Note: It is rumored that the Ryde Hotel was the inspiration for the Eagle’s song: Hotel California. This is unfounded. There is also another rumor that the Rolling Stones partied at the Ryde Hotel pool after their concert at Altamont. There are claims that people hear laughter and splashing in the pool in the late evening hours. Could the residual hauntings of the Rolling Stones still be at the pool?
