Lockhart Stadium
Lockhart Stadium is a stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. It is currently home of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of North American Soccer League. It has seen use in a variety of sports, particularly soccer and American football.
Originally designed in 1959 for high school sports, the stadium's long-standing soccer connection began in 1977 when it became the home venue for the original Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the original NASL. In 1998 it was refitted specifically for soccer as the home of the Miami Fusion in Major League Soccer; the team folded in 2002. It was also the home stadium of the Florida Atlantic Owls football team from 2002 to 2010.

Studio 90: Sermanni Returns to Lockhart Stadium After 35 Years
The U.S. Women's National Team training at Ft. Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium brings back a few memories for U.S. head coach Tom Sermanni. He played on the field 35 years ago for Blackpool F.C., and as a halftime substitute, had a quality chance to score on England legend Gordon Banks, one of the game's all-time great goalkeepers.

Sergio Busquets ‘tempted to join David Beckham’s new Miami FC franchise in MLS’
Sergio Busquets ‘tempted to join David Beckham’s new Miami FC franchise in MLS’. SERGIO BUSQUETS has revealed he is tempted to join David Beckham's new Miami FC franchise in the MLS after his Barcelona career comes to an end.
The 30-year-old only committed his long-term future to his boyhood club in September by penning a mega five-year deal that also comes with a £445million buyout clause.
However, the imminent revival of £65million Ajax starlet Frenkie De Jong has caused the Spaniard to reassess his future options before hanging up his boots.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, he said: “I’ve always said that I won’t be a Barcelona player for 20 years with a secondary role.
The moment that I feel my ambition is fading or that I am not able to deliver physically, I will step aside and leave feeling privileged and content of what I gave to the club.
“You can’t obviously predict the future, but I am a fan of the United States and soccer over there continues to grow.
[MLS]'s competitive style and playoff format is different to what we’re used to over here, and that really appeals to me.”
You can’t obviously predict the future, but I am a fan of the United States and soccer over there continues to grow
Busquets also jokingly confessed that he could be tempted with a move to David Beckham's new Miami United franchise, according to Spanish outlet Marca.
The Manchester United legend, 43, is the joint owner of new MLS franchise Inter Miami who plan on building two stadiums costing £800million.
Inter Miami will head into their debut MLS season in 2020 and reports claim that Beckham wants Busquet's teammate Lionel Messi to part of their history.
The Barcelona superstar is under contract until June 2021 but will be 33 at the time.
Becks has also reportedly placed Messi's long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of his wish list, with the Florida-based outfit attempting to lure the Portuguese to MLS.
Ronaldo's contract at Juventus will have a year left when the Miami club start competitive football in 2020.
And a final fanfare in America may be the perfect finale to a phenomenal career for CR7, the man who inherited Beckham's No7 at Manchester United in 2003.

THE ABANDONED ORIOLES STADIUM - BODY FOUND?!
History:
Fort Lauderdale Stadium is a baseball stadium located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida next to Lockhart Stadium. Fort Lauderdale Stadium was most recently leased to Traffic Sports USA (owners of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers) in June 2011.
The New York Yankees trained at the stadium between 1962 and 1995. The Fort Lauderdale Yankees of the minor league Florida State League played home games in the stadium from 1962 through 1992. The Fort Lauderdale Red Sox played home games there in 1993, after an unsuccessful attempt to move from Winter Haven to Fort Myers (they ended up the following year in Sarasota). The Baltimore Orioles held Spring Training at the stadium from 1996 to 2009.[2] Memorabilia from the short-lived Fort Lauderdale Red Sox are rare and considered collectors' items. The stadium formerly hosted Federal League Semi-Pro Baseball games throughout the year.
