A quick stop, and a short hike while my coffee brews. To check out a sight that I have driven past probably hundreds if not thousands of time. I decided since there was no one in the parking spot I would stop and check it out. Hope you enjoy, and have a great day. ✌

Our Glacier National Park Adventure
In August of 2018 I met up with my friend Nicky for a long weekend of adventure in the alpine surrounding the Illecillewaet Glacier in Glacier National Park, Canada. Here are some highlights from our amazing weekend! Notice how the skies get much smokier as the weekend progresses! There were several wildfires burning in the area.

Penstock Loop Trail, Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada
The old wooden penstock, now removed, which fed water from Lower Kananaskis Lake to the Pocaterra Power Plant in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada, assumed an artistic quality as water leaks from cracks in the penstock and freezes. The Penstock Loop Trail is an easy and interesting 4.7 KM (3.0 mile) snowshoe or hiking trail. The winter version is spectacular.
