2016 - Glacier National Park, BC, Canada
The first part of our 5-day road trip into the Canadian Rockies was in Glacier National Park. While my sister and family settled into the campground, I took off hiking the mountain above.
The hike was about 12 km long and I managed to climb 900 m above the campground into the alpine region where there was still plenty of snow to be found.

Glacier & Revelstoke - Canada's National Parks
A short tour of some beautiful scenery in Canada's Glacier Park and Mount Revelstoke Park. Each park is quite mountainous with opportunities for hiking and sight seeing. Revelstoke is known for its meandering 16+ mile drive that rises nearly a mile in elevation and reaches a mountain top meadow (Meadows in the Sky) that is filled with wildflowers during the right time of the year. Glacier Park scenes include the Rock Garden, the Hemlock Grove, and various scenic places. The Revelstoke scenes were all viewed at Meadows in the Sky.

Enjoy my Fern Canyon Virtual Hike in 4k !
Located in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, it takes a bit of work to get to the North Coast gem known as Fern Canyon, but it’s worth it. From Highway 101 at Orick, drive unpaved Davison Road 10 miles to this spectacular canyon, a hidden paradise of ferns lining a narrow gorge carved out by Home Creek. Some of the seven different types of ferns clinging to the steep cliffs are ancient species, with ancestry tracing back 325 million years. Living underneath their leafy shade are some eye-catching amphibians, including Pacific giant salamanders, which can measure nearly a foot in length, and northern red-legged frogs.
The trail follows a series of small footbridges (installed in summer) deep into the canyon. Lush, drooping ferns create hanging gardens, miniature waterfalls pour down rock faces, and moss wallpapers every surface. The walls grow taller and squeeze tighter as you travel.
Are you experiencing déjà vu? Steven Spielberg filmed a Jurassic Park II scene within this canyon. Every curve and turn leads to another Instagram-it-now (if there were reception) view. Far too soon, the trail curves left and ascends out of the canyon, then loops back to the parking lot. More than a few Fern Canyon hikers opt to retrace their steps instead of continuing on the loop—it’s just too hard to leave this special place.

Our hike up the Glacier Crest Trail in Glacier National Park, Canada.
One of the first hikes I ever did in Glacier National Park. It offers some of the best views in the park in my opinion. It's steep but the rewards are worth it. I love coming back to this trail year after year????

Hike With Us! Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah...Navajo/Queen's Garden Loop
The best word I can think of to describe this place...is unique. We have never before seen anything like these towering hoodoo's, with constantly changing shapes and rich fire-like tones. No two ever look the same, and this hike left both of us in awe. Come along with Judy and I as we show you the Navajo/Queen's Garden Loop in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.

Virtual Hike: Bow River, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
#BowRiver #virtualhike #treadmillhike
A riverside hike alongside the Bow River, a turquoise-blue mountain river which runs through the vast wilderness of Banff. The hike begins a mile downstream from Lake Louise Village, reaching a wooden walk-bridge after about 1.5 miles downstream. Then the second half is a hike upstream along the base of the mountainside - an area known for grizzly bear activity. A hike taken in fall 2019 - this one is full of the colors of autumn. Hoh Rain Forest Virtual Hike 4K (Nature Sounds)
#nationalpark #4Kvideo #travel
Enjoy my virtual Hike and nice scenery @ Hoh Rain Forest Olympic National Park Washington
With an annual rainfall ranging from 140 to 170 inches, the Hoh Rain Forest is a lush, green wonderland, with mosses and ferns covering every tree and surface. According to the NPS, it is one of the finest remaining examples of temperate rainforest in the United States and is one of the park's most popular spots to visit. One visitor described walking in the forest as a Hansel and Gretel-type of feeling while another likened it to a fairy tale enchanted forest.
Most travelers begin at the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, which is staffed with rangers who can offer advice on what to see and do. The visitor center also houses exhibits and a bookstore. Two short nature trails loop through the forest near the center, the Hall of Mosses Trail (.8 miles) and the Spruce Nature Trail (1.2 miles). If you're up to the challenge, there is also a 17-mile trail that leads to Glacier Meadows, on the shoulder of Mount Olympus, called the Hoh River Trail.
The Hoh sits on the west side of Olympic National Park, about a two-hour drive from Port Angeles and less than an hour from Forks, Washington. It can be accessed via Upper Hoh Road, off of Highway 101. The visitor center, which is free to access, is open daily during the summer, generally open Friday through Sunday in the spring and fall (hours may vary) and closed December through early March.

Day Hike #18: Chephren Lake in Banff National Park on the icefields parkway.
Chephren Lake day hike in Banff National Park. Smoke day. Raining too...but I'm on vacation so time to go hike a lake or two.
Time Stamps:
2:13 Chephren Lake
7:17 Lakeshore trail washout
I hiked both Cirque and Chephren lakes on this hike, but decided to break the two up into 2 videos since it was pretty long. Not the best day of hiking ever but you gotta make the best of rain and smoke.
