Chronicles of Georgia aka Stonehedge of Tbilisi
A 360 degree fly-by around a massive monument called Chronicles of Georgia (Kartlis Tskhovreba in Georgian) above Tbilisi. It is massive and looks like Georgian version Stonehenge. It was build during the Soviet times in 1982. Most people don't get to see it as it is far from old Tbilisi, nor is it as widely advertised. Even the locals don't always know where it is. If in Tbilisi, go see it, and the easiest way to get there by taxi. Ask to take you to Tbilisi sea. Music by Beastie Boys, Shambala

???????? 360° The Chronicles Of Georgia (საქართველოს ისტორია) | Tbilisi, Georgia
A 360° VR spherical view of the Chronicles Of Georgia Monument, a sculpture next to the Tbilisi Sea by Zurab Tsereteli in the best district of Tbilisi: Temqa! =] ????????
It has been described as Georgia's Stonehenge, though it's a bit less crude than that - Tsereteli has carved onto the monument important moments throughout Georgian history, along with several carvings linked to Christianity too. A cool place for a sunset and a sunrise - check it out, if in Tbilisi!
It's just a 360° photosphere in video form currently though the traditional music will hopefully make it more interesting, when panning around!

EXPLORING GEORGIA: The Historic FORT OF GORI ???? (STALIN'S BIRTHPLACE)
SUBSCRIBE: - Gori Fortress is a medieval citadel in Georgia, standing above the city of Gori on a rocky hill. The fortress first appears in the 13th century records but archaeological evidence shows that the area had already been fortified in the last centuries BC. The fortress controlled major strategic and economic routes and accommodated a large garrison. In the 16th century the Ottomans captured it to overawe Tbilisi. In 1598 the Georgians besieged it to no avail; in 1599 they feigned a relaxation of the siege for Lent before launching a surprise attack at night to regain the citadel. The fortress continued to change hands between the Georgians and the Persians in the 17th century.
Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic that’s home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. It’s famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town.

'Georgia is a Soviet country'
Georgia under President Mikhail Saakashvili first underwent a spectacular reform, but has now turned back into a typical post-Soviet state, oppressing its own people, believes Nino Burdzhanadze, former parliamentary speaker, now an opposition leader. In Georgia right now there's real neo-Bolshevism with all signs of a Soviet regime: violation of elementary constitutional norms, violation of elementary human rights, control of media, police, which [are] doing everything -- despite of their legal obligations -- [as] if it's coming from political decisions. It's a typical Soviet country, where every person who is against the regime is [called] enemy of the country, Burdzhanadze told RT. The only noticeable difference from the old Soviet times is that now the great enemy is Russia rather then world imperialism, she added. The police crackdown on Georgian opposition in late May was an example of how things are done in Georgia now, the opposition leader says. It was an operation to punish protesters, not to uphold the law, Burdzhanadze believes. The Georgian special forces surrounded us. The people were in [a] trap. There was no way out. There was not possibility to leave the square. As we understand, special services received instructions to arrest all demonstrators... to beat people brutally, especially at their heads... It was a real punishment [meant] to threaten the people, she said. The image of Saakashvili, the brilliant reformer, is very strong in the West, so it will take time and effort to make people see that things have changed, Burdzhanadze says. Saakashvili pays lots of millions of euros to lobbyists and PR companies. But nevertheless you can see quite critical articles concerning him too. You can buy many things with money... but you can't buy everything and everyone, she said.
Support of the Saakashvili regime has certainly decreased, especially in the United States, the Georgian politician believes. She says she has to work more to keep the process going.
