St Augustine (Spanish: San Agustín) is a city in northeast Florida and the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement in the continental United States.[6] The county seat of St. Johns County,[7] it is part of Florida's First Coast region and the Jacksonville metropolitan area. According to the 2010 census, the city population was 12,975. The United States Census Bureau's 2013 estimate of the city's population was 13,679, while the urban area had a population of 69,173 in 2012.[8]
Saint Augustine was founded on September 8, 1565, by Spanish admiral and Florida's first governor, Pedro Menéndez de Avilés. He named the settlement San Agustín, as his ships bearing settlers, troops, and supplies from Spain had first sighted land in Florida on August 28, 1565, the feast day of St. Augustine.[9] The city served as the capital of Spanish Florida for over 200 years, and remained the capital of East Florida when the territory briefly changed hands between Spain and Britain. It was designated the capital of the Florida Territory until Tallahassee was made the capital in 1824. Since the late 19th century, St. Augustine's distinct historical character has made the city a major tourist attraction. It is also the headquarters for the Florida National Guard.

Tampa is a city in and the county seat of Hillsborough County, Florida, United States.[11] It is located on the west coast of Florida on Tampa Bay, near the Gulf of Mexico, and is part of the Tampa Bay Metropolitan Area. The city had a population of 346,037 in 2011.[12][13]
The current location of Tampa was once inhabited by indigenous peoples of the Safety Harbor culture most notably the Tocobaga and the Pohoy, who lived along the shores of Tampa Bay. The area was explored by Spanish explorers in the 16th century, resulting in violent conflicts and the introduction of European diseases, which wiped out the original native cultures. Although Spain claimed Florida as part of New Spain, it did not found a colony in the Tampa area, and there were no permanent American or European settlements within today's city limits until after the United States acquired Florida from Spain in 1819.
In 1824, the United States Army established a frontier outpost called Fort Brooke at the mouth of the Hillsborough River, near the site of today's Tampa Convention Center. The first civilian residents were pioneers who settled near the fort for protection from the nearby Seminole population, and the small village was first incorporated as Tampa in 1849. The town grew slowly until the 1880s, when railroad links, the discovery of phosphate, and the arrival of the cigar industry jump-started its development, helping it to grow from a quiet village of less than 800 residents in 1880 to a bustling city of over 30,000 by the early 1900s.
Today, Tampa is part of the metropolitan area most commonly referred to as the Tampa Bay Area. For U.S. Census purposes, Tampa is part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The four-county area is composed of roughly 2.9 million residents, making it the second largest metropolitan statistical area (MSA) in the state, and the fourth largest in the Southeastern United States, behind Miami, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta.[14] The Greater Tampa Bay area has over 4 million residents and generally includes the Tampa and Sarasota metro areas. The Tampa Bay Partnership and U.S. Census data showed an average annual growth of 2.47 percent, or a gain of approximately 97,000 residents per year. Between 2000 and 2006, the Greater Tampa Bay Market experienced a combined growth rate of 14.8 percent, growing from 3.4 million to 3.9 million and hitting the 4 million population mark on April 1, 2007.[15] A 2012 estimate shows the Tampa Bay area population to have 4,310,524 people and a 2017 projection of 4,536,854 people.[16]
Tampa was ranked as the 5th best outdoor city by Forbes in 2008.[17] Tampa also ranks as the fifth most popular American city, based on where people want to live, according to a 2009 Pew Research Center study.[18] A 2004 survey by the NYU newspaper Washington Square News ranked Tampa as a top city for twenty-somethings.[19] Tampa is ranked as a Gamma+ world city by Loughborough University, ranked alongside other world cities such as Phoenix, Charlotte, Rotterdam, and Santo Domingo.[20]

First look inside the renovated Barnett Building Apartments in downtown Jacksonville

When the Barnett National Bank Building was built in 1926, it was the tallest building in Jacksonville’s skyline.
The iconic brick building, which sits on the corner of Adams and Laura streets, fell into disrepair over the years and at one point was added toJacksonville’s most-endangered historic properties list.
Construction began in 2017 to restore it, and it has been transformed to a mixed-use building, with 107 apartment units to occupy the eighth to 18th floors.
The other floors will be mixed-use businesses. Inside, the building of the Roaring '20’s-vintange building now has a modern twist of open floor plans, while incorporating exposed brick in each unit.
The developer, Steve Adkins, with SouthEast Group, says more than 800 people have preregistered for information about the apartments.
Next month, there are plans for applications for leases to become available to hopeful tenants.
Pricing has not officially been set but rents will range from $950 to $2,000 a month depending on the unit.
As far as parking is concerned, residents will have to park at a nearby garage.
The Barnett building and the Laura Street Trio project are part of a $90 million rehabilitation to historic downtown structures.
The building is scheduled to be open in the coming months.

Known as the Historic Waterfront Gateway City, Sanford sits on the southern shore of Lake Monroe at the head of navigation on the St. Johns River. The opening of Walt Disney World in October 1971 shifted the economy of Central Florida away from agriculture, military installations, defense/aerospace industries, and the NASA manned and unmanned space programs, and further towards tourism, service industries and residential development, the center of which is Orlando. But because of Sanford's former preeminence as a trade center, the city retains a significant collection of older commercial and residential architecture, on streets shaded by live oaks hung with Spanish moss. Its location on Lake Monroe and access to the navigable waterway of the St. Johns River has made it Central Florida's additional center for numerous marinas, allowing access for pleasure boats and commercial vessels to and from the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway via Jacksonville and Mayport to the north.

Miami has never recorded any snowfall although there were disputed claims of snow flurries on January 19, 1977. Hurricane season officially runs from June 1 through November 30, although hurricanes can develop beyond those dates. The most likely time for Miami to be hit is during the peak of the Cape Verde season, which is mid-August through the end of September. Although tornadoes are uncommon in the Miami area, a tornado struck the city in 1925 and again in 1997. Miami falls under the USDA 10b Plant Hardiness zone. In addition to such annual festivals like Calle Ocho Festival and Carnaval Miami, Miami is home to many entertainment venues, theaters, museums, parks and performing arts centers. Welcome to Rockville 2019
Welcome to Rockville is an annual weekend rock festival held in the spring that features modern & classic rock and metal bands. The festival is held at the Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville. The first Welcome to Rockville festival was held in 2011. It was founded and is produced by Danny Wimmer through his festival production company, Danny Wimmer Presents, which produces rock festivals in the United States such as Rock on the Range, AFTERSHOCK, Fort Rock, Carolina Rebellion, LOUDER THAN LIFE, Northern Invasion, and Chicago Open Air.
The first Welcome to Rockville was held on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011, at the Metropolitan Park. The festival was a one day event, and ran all day Sunday, beginning around 11:00 am and ending after 10:00 pm due to city noise ordinances. A second festival the following year was planned for 2012. The second festival was another one day event that was held on Sunday April 29, 2012. This show saw the return of Jacksonville natives Shinedown to headline the festival along with Korn. The Welcome to Rockville festival was expanded from a one day event to a two-day event in 2013, and three Jacksonville native bands headlined: Limpbizkit, Shinedown, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The 2013 festival marked the start of a minor controversy about the enforcement of the city noise ordinances with respect to the festival. The lineup for the 2013 festival was announced on Friday, January 25, 2013.
Monster Energy has been a major partner in the festival since Welcome to Rockville's inception in 2011, and the main stages bear the Monster Energy name such as Monster Energy Metropolitan Stage. The general layout of the festival is that 3 or 4 stages are spread across the venue, and entertainment & food tents are placed between the stages. Regular sponsors are f.y.e., Jägermeister, Jack Daniel's, and Zippo.
The festival was expanded to 3 days(Friday-Sunday) in 2018.
