The largest aquarium in Miami is a park where exposed tropical birds and marine animals are.
Offers educational programs and special attractions like the shows: Whale Orca, sea lion and Dolphins.
The audience watches excitedly shows, lectures about animals and routine part of the park. The tour also suggests an interaction between the visitor with animals such as rays parading allowing touched. But it is best to spend the day with the dolphins. Hi, how are you? In today's video we'll talk about the Miami Seaquarium and the trendy Miami Beach
Miami has beautiful scenery, the mixture of nature and the modern architecture of the huge skyscrapers draws attention, you can see how cute this little bird is in the middle of the city.
Through the streets we also see incredible and luxurious cars all the way through the trendy Miami Beach, just take a look at this golden lamborguini! It really is not every day that we see one of this through the streets.
One of the main attractions is the Miami Seaquarium, where we observe various animals and enjoy incredible shows, such as the sea lion, another with the fun and lively dolphins and the main show with the orca Lolita.
This show has a certain controversy, there is a group of people who fight for the release of the whale back to its natural habitat, the history of the whale says that it was captured and sold to the park in the mid 70's.
We found that the tank where it lives seems to be very small, does not seem to be a suitable place for its size, but we do not believe that simply giving back to the sea a whale that has lived for more than 40 years in captivity is a solution .
Maybe put it in a sanctuary, with a good structure and monitoring, with the costs incurred by the park for which its work has already yielded good fruit, is a more viable alternative, after all it has worked for more than 40 years and deserves A quiet retirement, right?
Currently, the show is suspended, but by determination of authorities that aim for the safety of the trainers, although there have never been any previous incident with the Lolita whale.
In the dolphins show, as we talked about in our video of Isla Mujeres in Cancun, they are like little dogs, even before the beginning of the shows, it is possible to admire them playing in their tank, mainly with the children, it seems Feel at ease.

Killer whale abuse: Lolita the orca in Miami Seaquarium, the country’s smallest tank - TomoNews
MIAMI — Since being captured in 1970, Lolita the orca whale has resided at the Miami Seaquarium in Florida. She’s been forced to perform tricks since being stolen from her pod at age 4. Not only that, but her tank happens to be the smallest orca tank in the U.S.
Lolita is roughly 21 feet long and weighs 7000 pounds. For a whale her size, regulations state her tank should be at least 48 feet wide in either direction with a straight line of travel across the middle. Her actual tank is just 35 feet wide by 80 feet across, with a concrete station in the center.
The cramped tank also exposes Lolita to the sun’s UV radiation, which has led to terrible eyesight stemming from a pterygium. At 50 years old, Lolita is the oldest orca in captivity, and her ailments are racking up.
Animal welfare organization PETA has been working tirelessly to have the Miami Seaquarium held responsible for the whale’s suffering due to the poor treatment she’s given, but whether she’s released back into her pod or a seaside sanctuary anytime soon remains a big question mark.

Miami Seaquarium is committed to wildlife conservation and the rescue, rehabilitation and release of distressed marine mammals. This commitment began even before the park first opened its doors. In July of 1955, the park's conservation work began when Maime, a 3 week old, 47 pound manatee was rescued after being injured.
Since that first rescue in 1955, Miami Seaquarium has rescued, rehabilitated and released countless manatees, sea turtles, dolphins and whales. .
Miami Seaquarium is one of only three facilities in the State of Florida with a letter of authorization from the US Fish and Wildlife Service as a Manatee Critical Care Facility. The park's highly trained animal rescue team includes divers, staff veterinarians and animal caretakers who are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
