PARIS WALK | Champ de Mars - Morning Walk to the Eiffel Tower | France
A first-person perspective Paris walk tour of Champ de Mars to Eiffel Tower.
Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of Paris, featuring Champ de Mars, from École Militaire to Eiffel Tower. The tour starts across from École Militaire, then travels northwest through Champ de Mars, ending at the base of the Eiffel Tower.
Sights seen along the tour include Paris Military School (École Militaire), Field of Mars (Champ de Mars), Wall Of Peace (Mur pour la Paix), Human Rights Monument (Monument des Droits de l’Homme), and the Eiffel Tower.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!
Footage recorded August 2017.

(From Wiki):
Champs de Mars is located in the seventh arrondissement, between the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the École Militaire to the southeast. The park is named after the Campus Martius (Mars Field) in Rome, a tribute to the Latin name of the Roman God of war. The name also alludes to the fact that the lawns here were formerly used as drilling and marching grounds by the French military.

The nearest Métro stations are La Motte-Picquet–Grenelle, École Militaire, and Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel, an RER suburban-commuter-railway station. A disused station, Champ de Mars is also nearby. Originally, the Champ de Mars was part of a large flat open area called Grenelle, which was reserved for market gardening. Citizens would claim small plots and exploit them by growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers for the local market. However, the plain of Grenelle was not an especially fertile place for farming.
The construction, in 1765, of the École Militaire designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, was the first step toward the Champ de Mars in its present form. Grounds for military drills were originally planned for an area south of the school, the current location of the place de Fontenoy. The choice to build an esplanade to the north of the school led to the erection of the noble facade which today encloses the Champ de Mars. The planners leveled the ground, surrounded it with a large ditch and a long avenue of elms, and, as a final touch, the esplanade was enclosed by a fine grille-work fence.
The Isle of Swans, formerly a riverine islet at the location of the northeastern foot of the Eiffel Tower, was, for the sake of symmetry and pleasing perspectives, attached to the shore. (Note that the Isle of Swans discussed here should not be confused with the Isle of Swans that sits in the middle of the Seine downstream and around the next bend in the river, between the fifteenth and sixteenth arrondissements.) Jacques Charles and the Robert brothers launched the world's first hydrogen-filled balloon from the Champ-de-Mars on 27 August 1783
In 2012 the United Buddy Bears exhibit was held on the Champ de Mars, an international art exhibition with more than 140 two-meter-tall bears representing individual countries. They promote peace, love, tolerance and international understanding and are displayed across the planet. They stand at Champ de Mars in Paris, fronting the Eiffel Tower. Champ de Mars was used as a filming location in the 1985 James Bond film A View to a Kill, in which Bond (played for the last time by Roger Moore) drove a Renault 11 taxi which he had hijacked at the Eiffel Tower in pursuit of a mysterious assassin, later revealed to be May Day (Grace Jones).

12 Octobre 2015
Hey Guys! This is the second Episode of my Project Paris, where I build parts of Paris highly detailed and of course as realistic as possible! The first Episode was about the Eiffel Tower and a small part of the park around it. This Episode is about the Champ de Mars, the big park in front of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the park this Video, but in the next Episode it will be finished!

Tour of Paris: Champ de Mars & Eiffel Tower
In this episode I run around the Champ de Mars, which was the training ground for some of the best soldiers in the 18th and 19th centuries. And then I explore the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower was finished on March 15th, 1889. It was built for the 1889 World's Fair. It was constructed out of mostly prefabricated wrought Iron pieces. It stood as the tallest building in the world for 41 years (until the Chrysler Building was built). It was designed by engineers from Gustave Eiffel's company, Eiffel used his name and political connections to insure this design was chosen for the 1889 World's Fair. Construction went smoothly, and thanks to Eiffel's precautions only one person died during it's construction. The Tower now stands at 324 metres (1,063 ft). It is the most visited paid monument in the world with about 25,000 visitors a day.

Paris by Bicycle #10 : The Eiffel Tower from the Champ de Mars !
Beautiful and illegal ride facing the Eiffel Tower from the Champ de Mars.
Follow me in the alleys of this garden, on a sunny (but still cold) afternoon.
I am proud to announce that this is the tenth episode of Exploring Paris by Bicycle.
Thanks to all subscribers (and non subscribers ;) , I really enjoy making videos !
For this special EIFFEL TOWAH edition, i tested a new way of editing, in which
i speed up my ride by smoothly cutting non-relevant or boring moments...
The original video was 10 minutes long and the result here is only 3 minutes long.
For me, it's better to have something effective. Tell me your thoughts !
As always, here's a Google Map Path if you wanna ride like me but remember that it doesn't seem allowed to ride in this garden.(who cares)
Thank you all for watching ! Please post comments and like this video it helps me pedaling faaaaaaaster.
Gab !
