Paris by bus. The best way to get around Paris.
Using the bus can be a picturesque way to experience Paris. The Paris bus and métro systems are one of the best ways to get around the city, and they’re easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. While the métro is a classic Parisian experience, the bonus of Paris buses is that you can enjoy great sightseeing views along the way!
The tickets that work for the Métro and RER (within Paris) also work for buses, but you cannot transfer from a Métro to a bus or vice versa.
However, bus-to-bus transfers can be made with one ticket for 90 minutes after the ticket is stamped (validated) with the time on the first bus.
Paris buses are marked by a two-digit number and suburban buses are marked by a three-digit number.
Bus schedules are varied—some lines run only during the day, others extend well into the evening, only a few run on Sunday. Generally, they run from 5:30 a.m. to midnight.
Bon Voyage!

All You Know Need to Know about Paris Bus Tours
There are a lot of bus tour options in Paris, let us help decide which is best for you.
Hop On Hop Off bus tours are the most popular in the city. On these tours, large double-decker, open-top buses drive around the city on a set route with multiple stops.
Visitors can choose which attractions they want to stop at and visit whenever they wish, knowing that they can hop back on once they are finished at their current location.
In addition to the hop-on-hop-off bus services available in Paris, there are also several full-service bus tours.
Although you might not have the opportunity to leave the vehicle, guides on these tours typically receive high praise for providing a lot of valuable information.

We continue travelling south and find a beautiful free park up on the banks of the River Somme. The parking area by the side of the canal is free, it has composting toilets, waste bins and mains water supply. Please leave this area clean and tidy and respect your surroundings.
The google map location for this lovely place can be found here
I used our battery operated water pump to fill our on board tanks. A link to buy one from eBay can be found here
We didnt get to visit Paris on our last trip to France so we made sure we did not miss it this time.
Parking in major cities is alwasy very diffcult so we found a brillaint camp site just 5km from the city centre, close enough for a walk and also had a shuttle bus service to the local metro station.
To check availability please visit the camp website
When we hooked up the mains shore power in Paris I used a plug tester to check the polarity of the main supply. Sometimes the live and neutral can be reverse in foriegn countries so it helpful to be able to check this. You can find them via this link

Buses in Paris, France 2016 - Les bus à Paris
The RATP operates the majority of buses in Paris and a significant number of lines in its suburbs. Other suburban lines are operated by private operators grouped in a consortium known as Optile (Organisation professionnelle des transports d'Île-de-France). There are approximately 4,000 rows of all bus companies serving the Ile de France.

Paris Hop On Hop Off Bus | Best Way to See Paris in a Short Time | Paris in One Day
We jumped on a City Sightseeing bus just outside the Eiffel Tower. It was the first stop on the tour. We chose this bus because we have had good experiences with this tour bus company in other cities. We went to the top floor of the bus and hopped in the front seat (after a couple got off at the next stop!).
Riding in the seats on the top level made it feel like we were going to hit the cars and people in front of us.
We saw many sights and I definitely recommend using a hop on hop off bus when you first get to Paris to give you a feel for the city for your next trip. It's the best way to see Paris in a short amount of time.

driver view bus ride from Paris airport (CDG) to Pullman Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel (1 of 3)
This is part 1 of 3 showing a front seat or driver view of most of our Viking transfer bus ride from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to the Pullman Paris Hotel Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel) on July 22, 2019 during the late morning. One of many welcome features of a Viking cruise is all airport transfers are free and Viking makes all the arrangements. So, this was our first trip in Paris after arriving at the airport. This is more or less a complete view of the ride except for when traffic was at a dead stop. Also, at one point, the driver takes a serious detour through some questionable neighborhoods to avoid backed up traffic. Interesting driving during that detour. Not sure which part that detour is. So, this is not your average ride.

From MADRID to PARIS (17.5 Hour Bus Ride)--Long Term Budget Travel // 061
How do you travel from Madrid, Spain, to Paris, France on a budget? Take a 17.5 hour bus ride with Eurolines! It was only 39 euros for this overnight bus ride through Europe, but after this experience I think I might up the ante and go for the more expensive train next time.
But when you're budget traveling, sometimes the cheapest option is the only option! Long distance traveling on a budget is far from luxurious, but, hey, it works.
