Peck in Milan has been synonymous with fine food since 1883. Located in Via Spadari, it is an enormous space covering 3300 square metres where only select, high quality foods are packaged under the Peck brand name and then magnificently displayed. The gigantic kitchen continuously delivers dishes and trays to the delicatessen counters; pâtés, roasts, salads, hand-made pasta, and all sorts of other delights. The cheese department stocks the best Italian and foreign produce and the same applies to the cold meat counter, which only stocks products with the DOP and IGP quality seals. Fresh fruit, vegetables and fish are always elegantly presented. In the basement is the cellar, boasting more than 5,000 wines from not only the best of the best italian wines but the best from all over the world. Tienda Gourmet en Milán - Peck- 1883
Hoy estoy de nuevo en MILÁN, y visitaré la tienda/restaurante Peck. Una tienda Gourmet siempre llamará mi atención, pero si es tan gigante como esta y con la solera que tiene, no sabía como marcharme de allí. Abrió sus puertas nada menos que en 1883, y hasta el día de hoy se caracteriza por la alta calidad en todos sus productos y servicios, algo verdaderamente auténtico de la gastronomía de Italia.
Tienen esas máquinas tan chulas (no se su nombre) que cortan el embutido en finísimas lonchas, y que funcionan a mano... eso lo tengo que ver, y tengo que probar algo cortado con esa máquina, si o si.
Compraré algunas cositas (mi economía no da para más, y las probaré. Si te gusta el guitarreo quédate hasta el final del video, porque le pedí prestada la guitarra a un músico callejero... y me la prestó (buena propina le dejé, no vayáis a pensar.

Peck: la storia della gastronomia milanese dal 1883
Prime luci dell’alba, silenzio, la città che dorme ancora ed un orologio che batte i secondi. Le cucine di Peck, uno dei numerosi luoghi nascosti della grande gastronomia milanese, cominciano lentamente ad animarsi.
Come nella buca dell’orchestra all’inizio di ogni concerto i singoli musicisti entrano silenziosamente, prendono posto e accordano ciascuno il proprio strumento, così tutti i professionisti di Peck si mettono all’opera, chi in macelleria, chi in pasticceria, chi al banco dei formaggi, chi nelle cucine, chi al bar, chi in negozio, chi al ristorante o in enoteca.
Ogni giorno, ogni mattina, quei gesti, ripetuti ancora e ancora, contribuiscono alla trasmissione di una tradizione che celebra l’eccellenza.
I vapori si alzano, le luci si accendono, i coltelli vengono affilati, i dolci mattutine vengono infornati. L’orologio, scandendo inesorabilmente il passare dei secondi, si avvia a battere le 9, consueto orario di apertura dello storico negozio di via Spadari.
Finalmente, la sinfonia del gusto che caratterizza Peck dal 1883 può avere inizio.
La regia è stata affidata ad Andrea Marini, classe 1984, giovane film director, con all’attivo due docu-film: “Art of the Prank” ed il recentissimo “Ferrari 312B”, incentrato sull’iconico modello simbolo degli anni ‘70. Toscano di origini, considera girare un film il miglior modo di conoscere gli uomini e il mondo.

Milan quintessentially for me, is a very special place, as it is the home of the very first espresso machine and a significant global contributor of what the joy of pinnacle coffee is all about.
Not to mention its influence on fashion and art lol. Ahh, drinking coffee with models, while they enjoy a bit of a cake binge and an excellent cup of Milano's finest. ahh si, la dolce vita !
