Hillside Tube Chute - Strange River Water Slide at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels
This is the Hillside Tube Chute at Schlitterbahn water park in New Braunfels, Texas, United States! This tube chute begins at the front of Schlitterbahn's iconic Castle (which was modeled after a castle in Braunfels, Germany) and is used with black rubber rings. The first part of the ride consists of a series of slow switchback curves. Afterwards, guests enter a rapids section, featuring a few downhill plunges as well as indoor part which is located inside the locker room. After about six minutes (total duration), guests end their ride in the Lagoon pool.

How to TUBE the River like a Boss in New Braunfels, Texas-Day 2
We had such a fun day tubing the river. Learned about where to park, how much the tubes cost and fought a case of anxiety going through the 'chutes'. Our day ended back at the rental house playing games and having a dance party. #nevertoooldtoboogy

We went on a Tubing adventure on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels TX May 2018. You can go to one of the many tub renal places, pay them and they will drive you up the river to a dropoff place. Then you just leisurely float down the river to the get out point or back to the rental place.
Make sure to take some sunscreen and plenty of your favorite beverages to stay hydrated. There are a few places along the river you can get out at, but they are limited.
Thanks for watching

River Road Camp, Guadalupe River, New Braunfels, TX
Video taken on April 29, 2015. This is during off season and in the middle of the week. There is only one RV camping here in the whole campground. I took a drive on the 4 wheeler from one end of the campground to the other end. I started down river (to the left after entering the campground), at site T1 and ended up upriver with a shot of campsite T9A. I also show our motorhome site as camp hosts at the top of the hill where we have a good view looking down at the campground. Plus, at the end of the video, I do a scan from the left to the right upon entering the campground. I hope you enjoy.

Guadalupe River Tubing Near New Braunfels And Canyon Lake Texas
New Braunfels tubing opportunities attract thousands of visitors to the Texas Hill Country on both weekdays and weekends to enjoy floating the Guadalupe River below the Canyon Lake dam.
River float tubes can be rented at one of several locations along Highway 306, which crosses the Guadalupe near Sattler Texas, about 15 miles west of New Braunfels.
I shot this cell phone video during a visit to the Guadalupe River RV resort in June 2013.

No tubing on Guadalupe River in New Braunfels%
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will release water from Canyon Lake Friday, which will increase river flows on the Guadalupe River through New Braunfels.
A release rate of approximately 2500 cfs is expected, which will limit recreational use of the river.
Kayaks and 6-man rafts will still be allowed. However, a city ordinance dictates that tubing or other recreation on the Guadalupe River is unlawful if the flow of the Guadalupe River is above 1000 cfs.
A news release from the City of News Braunfels states the New Braunfels Parks Department has also installed buoys just upstream of the Gruene Road Bridge. The move is a precaution to prevent potential safety hazards from people passing under the bridge while the water levels are higher than normal.
River-goers can contact local river outfitters for details about prime rafting spots.
The Comal River remains open for regular recreation, but officials are reminding anyone choosing to be on the Comal or Guadalupe Rivers Friday and into the weekend to use caution and always wear a life jacket.
