If you're walking along Collins Avenue, you must stop at number 1685 and admire this magnificent hotel, which has become one of the cult places of Miami Beach, both for its original Art Deco architecture and for the celebrity guests who have always stayed here.
This famous hotel was built in 1947, on a design by the architect Robert Swartburg, commissioned by the entrepreneurs Rob Schwartz and his wife Rose. The Delano underwent a total restyling in 1994 by the renowned architect Philippe Starck. At the time it was built, the tall, four-winged tower that rises in the center of the façade made the Delano the highest building in Miami. Hollywood's most glittering stars have stayed here, and the hotel is rumored to be the no. 1 favorite with the singer Madonna on her visits to the city.
If possible, I suggest you take a look around the reception area, or stop for a leisurely drink at the bar, admiring the characteristically peculiar furnishings created by the genius of Philippe Starck. Outside the hotel, you'll get a glimpse of the large pool surrounded by palm trees and the typical cabanas, cabins for those looking for a little privacy…

0:08sec: This wheel has already been strip, metal polish ( 3 step ) with hand tool detailing the base metal and copper plated and copper buffed out. We are now cleaning this wheel to take it to the bright nickel plating process
0:57sec: Drag Out and then Rinsing - this prevent cross contamination of plating process. Keeping the part wet is also critical in order to maintain surface activation
1:30min: Wheel is ready for the bright nickel plating process
1:50min: After the parts or wheels stay in the bright nickel plating process ( aprox 30min to 1 hour - varies) it is pulled out from the bath for drag out and then rinsing
3:30min: Visual Inspection before going into the final plating process - Chrome plating
4min: Click Thumbs Up if you liked and made it this far - Wheel is being prepare with proper tooling in order to improve chrome plating coverage
5:20min: Final plating process - Chrome plating
6:50min: Rinsing and final visual inpection

Coast Guard rescues 5 from disabled boat in rough seas off Miami
Miami - Five people were rescued from a disabled 29-foot boat by the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Diamondback approximately 15 miles east of Miami Beach, Fla. May 24, 2012. Upon arriving on scene with the vessel, I evaluated the deteriorating weather conditions and made the challenging decision to place the vessel in tow to prevent it from capsizing, said Lt. Emily Rose, commanding officer, cutter Diamondback. Partnering with commercial salvage, we ensured all five people were brought safely back to land. Saving lives is what members of the Coast Guard do every day.
