Art over Boston's Rose Kennedy Greenway cost much more than budgeted
It was originally budgeted for a $500,000, but the final bill came in at $1.7 million and that doesn't include the amount the artist, Janet Echelman, received from private donors for her design work. Subscribe to WCVB on YouTube now for more:

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain

SUMMARY
=======
The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a linear park located in several Downtown Boston neighborhoods. It consists of landscaped gardens, promenades, plazas, fountains, art, and specialty lighting systems that stretch over one mile through the Chinatown, Financial District, Waterfront, and North End neighborhoods. Officially opened in October 2008, the 17-acre Greenway sits on land created from demolition of the John F. Fitzgerald Expressway under the Big Dig.The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is named after Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, the matriarch of the Kennedy Family who was born in the neighboring North End neighborhood. Her son, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, played an important role in establishing the Greenway.
The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy was established as an independently incorporated non-profit organization in 2004 to guide the emerging park system and raise funds for an endowment and operations. In 2008, the State Legislature confirmed the Conservancy as the designated steward of the Rose Kennedy Greenway; the Conservancy operates with a lease from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (now Massachusetts Department of Transportation). Since February 2009, the Conservancy has operated the park, leading the maturation of this new civic space, strengthening its physical beauty, and encouraging a sense of a shared community in Boston.
The 2008 legislation established a 50%-50% public/private funding model. Through a multi-party funding agreement announced in June 2017, public funds from the State and City will represent ~20% of the operating budget, a new Greenway Business Improvement District will supply ~20% of the operating budget, and the Greenway Conservancy will generate ~60%.

New Balance Field
Over the past year, West Campus students have watched as a tired brick building and parking lot were transformed into a 110,000 square-foot athletic field and state-of-the-art underground parking facility, made possible by a $3 million donation from Brighton-based shoe manufacturer New Balance. Students returned this fall to find the bright green New Balance Field, which essentially doubles BU's playable green space.

Augmented Reality Alien Invasion @ Greenway Conservancy, Boston MA!
occupation forces @ Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy
On April 22nd startling evidence of an alien occupation was put on public display at the Boston Cyberarts Festival. The discovery was made by researcher Mark Skwarek at the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy in Downtown Boston. Skwarek stumbled upon the aliens while working on an unrelated research project dealing with advanced parades. After making the shocking discovery Skwarek worked furiously to develop special software which would allow the general public to view this historic event.
What these strange aliens are doing is the subject of much speculation but it does seem as though one thing is clear. The aliens are excavating the Greenway Conservancy and other parts of Downtown Boston. More information and documentation will be posted as it becomes available.
The invasion is ongoing and live in the Greenway Conservancy, Boston MA.
