Door County Wisconsin Tour - Section 1 - Egg Harbor to Sturgeon Bay
In August, 2016, during the family vacation, I took the time to drive around Door County with my camcorder mounted on my windshield (that area is cropped so it is not distracting having the mount bounce up and down).
There are 3 sections.
1 - Departing Alpine Resort & Golf cottage, drive to Egg Harbor to get gas, return to Alpine Resort area, scenic detour through small peninsula residential area which ends at 'B'. Take 'B' south, along the bay toward Sturgeon Bay. A little detour around Sturgeon Bay (mostly because I missed my turn), and head north through town. This video will end on 42 just before the 42/57 split.
2 - Continues on 57 through Bailey's Harbor, small detour on 'Q', return to 57N, through Sister Bay and continue on 42N to the end, Gills Rock. Watch for the goats while driving through Sister Bay!
3 - Starts in Sister Bay heading south on 42 and ends at Alpine Resort & Golf in Egg Harbor.
Since it is summertime, the leaves are still green and not so scenic.
But, you can have a mini vacation this series. With music, too. A map is added in the beginning of each section to remind you what path is taken.
TURN YOUR VOLUME UP TO HEAR MUSIC, TOO. I didn't make it real loud.

Door County On The Water: Marina Goers
In Door County you'll find over 300 miles of protective bays and coves which is why many call the county a boaters paradise. Boat to lunch and then boat somewhere new for dinner, spend the afternoon harbor hopping and discovering shallow bays and beaches, or boat over to Washington Island for a day trip. It is truly a boater's playground all summer long.
Door County On The Water: Kayaking
The 300 plus miles of shoreline in Door County truly are a kayakers dream come true. The shape of the peninsula means that there is rarely a day where you would not be able to find a place with good conditions for kayaking. On the eastern shores, the lakeside, you can see stunning sunrises and explore the wilder waters of Lake Michigan. On the western shores, you will find calmer and warmer waves accompanied by sunsets. There's dunes, rocky bluffs, sandy beaches, shipwrecks, islands, inland lakes, creeks and streams and estuaries. There is simply endless ways to experience Door County via kayak.
