Soledad Canyon
The Soledad Canyon Day Use Area is at the juncture of two canyons -- Bar Canyon and Soledad Canyon -- and is in the western foothills of the Organ mountains. The Valley.
I’m riding my bike this morning, enjoying the cooler weather, exploring the town of Las Cruces. As I’m entering this beautiful valley with trees planted along the road, my heart starts to fill in with some warm feeling. My mind is racing now, trying to understand why do I feel this way, what do I feel and what’s so special about this place. Did it remind me of some place back home, in Ukraine? I’m digging into my memory, but not finding anything that would bring up this association. The Instagram post! Couple months ago I made a post about life changes and included the picture of the road that goes through the alley just like this one. This valley is the gateway, this is the portal into the new world. Had one of the most powerful and deep meditations ever since, that morning...
Homeless.
I rarely give money to people on the streets, but today I did. This guy at the parking lot made me think of what does the word homeless mean? Am I homeless now too? If so, how does it make feel? How does he feel?
