Cintron Pink Polo 2017 at Val de Vie Estate
For the eighth consecutive year, Cintron Pink Polo hosted a celebratory affair in the Cape Winelands. Unmatched by any other, this highly commended Polo with a Purpose pursuit took place on South Africa’s leading wine- and polo domain; the immaculate Val de Vie Estate.
The event celebrates survivors of breast cancer and their inspirational stories of hope, healing and triumph. Funds raised on the day will be donated to create awareness of symptoms for early detection as well as assisting women affected by the disease, throughout South Africa.
Celebrities in attendance were Ryk Neethling, Maps Maponyane, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Clare Wiese-Wentzel, Roxy Louw, Aisha Baker (Baked Online), Bonnie Mbuli and Jean-Paul Duminy, amongst others.
Vibrant hues of fresh pink, red, navy and silver with touches of textured fabrics and patterns were the inspiration for the dress code and décor. A sensational Casper Bosman - designer Wear Collection fashion show and the female duo Master of Ceremonies - Mishka Patel and Sechaba Gqeba - Sechaba G - delighted and inspired guests.
The 2017 event supports the St. Stephen Oncology Centre & Sub-Acute Hospital located in Paarl, where vital and convenient cancer care is provided to patients in the Valley. PinkDrive, powering South Africa’s first mobile mammography and educational unit through South Africa, will also receive assistance for the vital services they render.
The inaugural world class event was showcased in a fusion of glamour, bespoke fashion and enthralling polo in authentic luxurious African style.
Guests were entertained with a 14-goal polo match between team sponsors Cintron World and Vodacom, respectively captained by Springbok players Leroux Hendriks and Tom de Bruin in a bid to win the coveted Cintron Pink Polo trophy. A draw ensued between the teams in a nail-biting match.
Vodacom was the official Technology Partner for this prestigious event. Paarlberg BMW was the vehicle partner of choice and Jaeger-LeCoultre kept time at the riveting polo match.
Veuve Clicquot Rosé provided premium champagne to sip on while guests relax in the pop-up areas and were pampered by Sisley Paris and Tosca Salon Hair and Beauty, respectively the beauty and hair partners for the day. Sport24hrs and Taxi’s ensured that guests arrived on time and get home safely after a day of memorable moments.
As official travel partner for the event, Travelstart South Africa gave away a surprise travel prize to one lucky guest.
Something Different Concepts and Shows as the official décor partner for the event, weaved their magic with a message of bravery for those fighting breast cancer. Contemporary, chic, colourful and quirky – the décor at this years’ event was truly something different.
Since inception in 2010, the event has become a powerful conduit through which attendees are introduced to the Sport of Kings in an exclusive, luxurious setting whilst lending a voice to the fight against breast cancer.
The polo hub of South Africa, Val de Vie Estate, was voted by New World Wealth as the top estate in South Africa for 2015, 2016 and 2017.
