Does Eerie Photo From Scene of Deadly Crash Show Stairway to Heaven?
Following a fatal car crash in Georgia last month, a photo captured a beam of light shining down on the wreckage, leaving many to believe it was an illumination from heaven. Hannah Simmons, 23, her 9-month old baby and her best friend all died in the accident after Simmons lost control of her car. Anisa Gannon was on her way to work when she came upon the scene and took the photo. At the time, she didn't know anyone died nor did she notice the beam of light.

Have you noticed more planes flying overhead in your community that leave trails behind them in the sky? These patterns are the result of weather modification programs — also referred to as solar radiation management or chemtrails. The international program involves spraying aluminum, barium, strontium and other toxic chemicals from airplanes at high altitudes that then fall to the ground, ending up in our bodies, our water, our soil and the air we breathe.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Jacksonville is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Florida and the largest city by area in the contiguous United States. It is the seat of Duval County, with which the city government consolidated in 1968. Consolidation gave Jacksonville its great size and placed most of its metropolitan population within the city limits. With an estimated population of 892,062 as of 2017, Jacksonville is also the most populous city in the southeastern United States. The Jacksonville metropolitan area has a population of 1,631,488 and is the fourth largest in Florida.Jacksonville is centered on the banks of the St. Johns River in the First Coast region of northeast Florida, about 25 miles (40 km) south of the Georgia state line and 340 miles (550 km) north of Miami. The Jacksonville Beaches communities are along the adjacent Atlantic coast. The area was originally inhabited by the Timucua people, and in 1564 was the site of the French colony of Fort Caroline, one of the earliest European settlements in what is now the continental United States. Under British rule, settlement grew at the narrow point in the river where cattle crossed, known as Wacca Pilatka to the Seminole and the Cow Ford to the British. A platted town was established there in 1822, a year after the United States gained Florida from Spain; it was named after Andrew Jackson, the first military governor of the Florida Territory and seventh President of the United States.
Harbor improvements since the late 19th century have made Jacksonville a major military and civilian deep-water port. Its riverine location facilitates Naval Station Mayport, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, the U.S. Marine Corps Blount Island Command, and the Port of Jacksonville, Florida's third largest seaport. Jacksonville's military bases and the nearby Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay form the third largest military presence in the United States. Significant factors in the local economy include services such as banking, insurance, healthcare and logistics. As with much of Florida, tourism is important to the Jacksonville area, particularly tourism related to golf. People from Jacksonville may be called Jacksonvillians or Jaxsons (also spelled Jaxons).

What's That Bright Star in the Sky? It's Not a Star, It's Venus
What's that bright light in the sky? How come I never noticed it before? That's not a star at all, it's Venus, and it is awesome.

Every few months a bright star appears in the sky. Sometimes it’s off to the East, bright in the morning before the Sun rises. Other times, you can see it in the West right after the Sun sets.
Experienced stargazers know this isn’t a star at all, of course, it’s Venus. That horrible twin planet, surrounded by a toxic choking atmosphere of superheated carbon dioxide. For a while it becomes the fourth brightest object in the sky: after the Sun, Moon and the International Space Station, if you can believe it.
In dark skies, Venus gets so bright you can even read a book to it.
Inexperienced stargazers, however, suddenly notice this super bright star in the sky. How come they never noticed it before? Was it always right next to the Moon like that? And that’s when the UFO calls to 911 start up.
I know none of them are going to be watching this video. But for everyone else, even mildly interested in the science here, let’s dig into the orbit of Venus, how we finally figured out what that thing is, how you can observe the planet, and some cool tricks Venus can do.
We’ve done several videos on what planet Venus actually is, and why it sucks so much. You know, a runaway greenhouse effect giving the planet 90 times the Earth’s atmospheric pressure at the surface. It’s a 462-degree furnace, anywhere you go, with a rain of sulphuric acid.
Nope, we’re not going to talk about visiting that place. Instead, we’re just going to talk about looking at it from afar, and how it changed our whole understanding about our place in the Solar System.
Venus is, of course, the second planet from the Sun. But for the vast majority of human history, nobody really understood what it was. It’s easy to see in the sky, even if you live in one of the most light polluted cities on Earth.
Ancient civilizations tried to grapple with what they were looking at, and of course, they assumed there was something supernatural going on. Probably dark and vengeful gods wandering through the heavens, staring down at us with their beady eyes. Judging, always judging. Some civilizations figured out that it’s a single object, while others believed they were looking at two separate entities.
The Ancient Greeks, for example, called the morning edition of Venus Phosphoros, the “Bringer of Light”, and they called the evening star Hesperos, the, uh, “Star of the Evening”. Then they realized it was a single object, and upgraded it to Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The Romans turned that into Venus, and the name stuck.
The ancient astronomers assumed the Earth was the center of the Universe, and all the planets and even the Sun and stars revolved around us. but Nicholas Copernicus worked out the true nature of the Solar System in the early 16th century. The Sun was at the center of the Solar System, and all planets, including Earth, orbited around it.
It was a cool story, and nicely fit the motions of the planets, however, the best evidence came almost a century later when Galileo turned his first crude telescope to Venus and realized that the planet goes through phases, just like the Moon.
In fact, with a small telescope, you can confirm this all for yourself.
Each of the planets orbit the Sun. Mercury and Venus orbit closer to the Sun, then Earth, then the rest of the planets. When we observe Venus, we look inwards, down towards the Sun. When we see the rest of the planets, we’re looking outward, away from the Sun.
The best analogy is a car race. If you’re in the stands watching those cars go around and around, you’re turning your head back and forth as the cars pointlessly circle in front of you. But to see cars in the ring road around the racetrack, you’ll need to look all the way round you. Make sense?
Here’s a simplified version of the Solar System, with just the Earth, Venus, and the Sun. Earth, as you probably know, takes just over 365 days to go around the Sun, while Venus only takes 225 days to complete an orbit.
Which means that Venus completes more than 3 orbits every time Earth completes 2. Which means that we’re always seeing Venus from different angles compared to the Sun.
Sometimes it’s on the same side of the Sun as us. Other times it’s on the opposite. And sometimes Venus is on one side of the Sun, or the other.
The Thin Light of Freedom: The Civil War and Emancipation in the Heart of America
While a destructive and bloody war raged across Virginia in the aftermath of Gettysburg, free black families sent husbands and sons to fight with the U.S. Colored Troops. In letters home, even as Lincoln commemorated the dead at Gettysburg, they spoke of a war for emancipation. In The Thin Line of Freedom, acclaimed historian Edward L. Ayers, discusses the end of slavery, Reconstruction, the Freedmen’s Bureau, and new society struggling to emerge. A book signing will follow the program.
Slasher Film Icon Gunnar Hansen Passes Away
It’s a sad day for fans of classic horror movies, as actor Gunnar Hansen has passed away at the age of 68. Hansen was best known for portraying iconic slasher Leatherface in the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. The actor reportedly died of pancreatic cancer on Saturday at his home in Maine. His family emigrated to the United States from Iceland when he was 5, initially settling in Maine before moving on to Austin, Texas when he was 11. Despite having limited acting experience, he got the role. In Leatherface, Hansen brought life to one of the most iconic villains in the history of the horror genre.

Gunnar Hansen, 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' Villain, Dies At 68
Gunnar Hansen, 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' Villain, Dies At 68
Gunnar Hansen, who terrorized moviegoers as the psychotic, chainsaw-wielding Leatherface in 1974's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, has died at 68.
Hansen died Saturday evening of pancreatic cancer at his home in Northeast Harbor, Maine, according to his agent, Mike Eisenstadt, who described Hansen's Chainsaw character as one of the most iconic evil figures in the history of cinema.
The Icelandic-born actor was an unknown graduate student in Texas when director Tobe Hooper cast him in the low-budget horror film, which became a cult hit and spawned three sequels, two remakes and a prequel. In the film, Hansen's Leatherface character and his relatives torment five young people who stumble upon their remote Texas home in search of gas for their car. Inspired partly by real-life serial killer Ed Gein, Leatherface wears a mask of human skin and uses a chainsaw to butcher his victims.
The movie's final scene, where Leatherface dances maniacally on a lonely highway while spinning his chainsaw over his head, is one of the most indelible in horror-film history.
After the movie's release, Hansen began a career as a writer and editor, although he eventually returned to acting -- mostly in low-budget horror movies with titles like Chainsaw Sally and Swarm of the Snakehead.
At the time of his death he was developing Death House, a horror film he had written about a prison break at a secret underground government facility. The movie will be produced next year in Hansen's memory, Eisenstadt said.Hansen was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, and moved to the United States when he was five, eventually settling with his family in Texas. In 2013 he published a book, Chainsaw Confidential, about his work on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In the book Hansen wrote he was paid $400 for the film.
He is survived by his partner of 13 years, Betty Tower.
Norwegian Sun Updates Panama Cruise From Hell Flammable Chemicals Placed on Deck Ticking Time Bomb
Norwegian Sun Updates Panama Cruise From Hell Flammable Chemicals Placed on Deck Ticking Time Bomb There was a potential time bomb waiting to explode on the Norwegian Sun cruise ship travelling through the Panama Canal in March of 2018. There were pallets of highly flammable chemicals placed on top of the decks of the Norwegian Sun for a length of at least 250 feet. Had any one of the containers caught fire the entire 250 foot long collection of toxic and highly flammable poisons would have exploded and possibly engulfed the front half of the cruise ship at sea too far away from shore for anyone to help. Movies are made of disasters like this. The loss of life would have been catastrophic as there were 3000 souls on board at the time. As it is, passengers have been complaining of breathing difficulties, rashes on their skin and eyes still stinging from the Panama canal cruise. Norwegian has not apologized to their guests for putting their lives in danger or for causing a complete ruining of their cruise. Now reports are surfacing that the Norwegian Sun cruise ship had construction work done the week before the Panama cruise and that there were compaints made by passengers on that cruise. The ship is currently in dry dock in Victoria British Columbia and will sail on a sold out cruise from Seattle to Port Canaveral for 18 days on April 19th 2018. It is not known at this time wheather or not the ship will have all of its refurbishments completed in time for this cruise. There well may be construction crews onboard the ship for this repositioning cruise as well working with toxic chemicals finishing the final touches of the refurbishment.
