I was waiting for my buddies Adam S, Adam J & Mike A to come back from Jacksonville,FL after they visited the Jacksonville Model Train Show the previous day (2/09/19)
Amtrak operates every day with trains P091 and P092 making scheduled stops in Tampa before heading both South and North

DHS, TSA, ICE, and the Tampa PD team up to bring airport security out on the streets. It's the new normal in Amerika, and I reject it. We don't want or need federal agents teaming up with local cops. It started in the airports, went to court houses and government buildings, is now at the bus and train stations, and next they'll come to the local mall. In a way it's already on the streets. Tampa Fire Station 11 Groundbreaking Ceremony - May, 2013
Mayor Bob Buckhorn joined community leaders to break ground on the new Fire Station #11. The new station will be located at 1500 W. Waters Avenue in the Lowry Park area. As a city, we put a premium on keeping the public safe, and that means that we have to give our firefighters and first responders the tools to get the job done. Station #11 is aging and out of date, said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. The new station will help ensure that the residents of Sulphur Springs and the surrounding neighborhoods get the quality services they expect and deserve. The station will replace the aging Station #11, which is located at 710 E. Fairbanks St. The City of Tampa annexed Sulphur Springs in 1954, and built the current Station #11 shortly after annexation in 1959. The new station will continue to serve Sulphur Springs, North Tampa, Lowry Park, Forest Hills, and surrounding areas. The new station will be an 8,660 square foot facility with a three bay apparatus garage, which will be flanked by work and sleeping quarters. The design incorporates several sustainability features, including high efficiency lighting and controls, solar powered exterior lighting, energy efficient HVAC system, solar powered hot water heating, use of recycled materials, and Florida Friendly landscaping. The new Station #11 will cost $1.66 million and is funded through the Community Investment Tax. Pillar Construction is the contractor, and the facility is anticipated to be complete by December 2013.
