Sweet Fruit, Complexity, Cedar Spices
Red wine with some evolution here, medium-deep ruby, but the colour appears a bit mature with a tawny rim. There’s some complexity on the nose as well, it feels more like a style that has got a long aging in oak, with some evolution, some dried fruity notes; cedar, tobacco, spices. Quite good grip on the palate here, it has a dense core of fruit, but the fruit is already quite rounded and sweet. I think there’s a good balance between that sweet fruitiness with still pronounced but ripe tannin, and a fresh acidity. It keeps lingering on the aftertaste, where the fruit is appearing a bit sweeter. So I would say it’s a nice wine that has got a good evolution, it offers a nice level of drinkability right now, a certain dose of complexity as well. Good level of drinkability, a certain complexity, well-balanced in terms of that sweet fruit with tannin and acidity. It should definitely go on in the cellar for many more years, but I would happily drink it already today.

Stewed Red Berries, Sweet Spiciness, Well-Balanced
Red wine with a medium-deep ruby red colour. It’s youthful and fresh on the nose; this one is showing more primary fruit, no presence of oak really, more on the red berry, red cherry, with a certain sweet spiciness. The palate has medium weight in terms of fruitiness, still with a youthful extract and pronounced tannins on the mid-palate; but rather well-balanced, and I think the tannin gives a lift to that rather sweet – almost cooked – fruit, like stewed red berries. It has a certain length, medium towards long, and I think it appears pretty drinkable today. One more year and it will gain some more roundness; but nicely made in a traditional style.

Sweet Red Cherry, Tannic, Pair With Meat
Red wine with a medium deep core, slightly coloured rim. Quite discreet at first, showing off some red and dark fruity notes. No presence of oak really, more on that red cherry, mild spices. Good grip on the palate; it starts out quite discreetly, but then it expands a little bit on the palate. We still have a quite firm core of tannin here, on the mid-palate and on the finish; at the same time the finish is revealing more of that sweet red cherry fruit. Quite good length, I would talk about medium-bodied in terms of structure. Quite traditional style, certainly a wine which needs aging to open up and to show more complexity. I think though that with some more aeration in a decanter or in the glass, it opens up, and I think it offers a very nice traditional style, combining that ripe cherry fruit with a good acidity. Slightly on the tannic side right now, but again with gastronomy that contains a good dose of protein or fat it’s a pretty well-drinking wine right now. More Information:
