Our first stop in Fort Worth was the Stockyards. This is basically the Wild West of Texas. Everyday at 11:30 am and 4 pm you can see a cattle drive. We then headed to buy some souvenirs.
After that we headed to Cooper’s BBQ, at only a 2-minute walk away it was the ultimate BBQ feast! Brisket, ribs, sausage and lots of beans!
Lastly we headed to the Fort Worth Zoo which is famous for being the #1 zoo in the United States! We saw everything from Asian Turtles, to Lions, Penguins and Lone Horn Rhinos!
On the ride home, our Uber driver decided to give us a quick tour of Downtown Fort Worth.

Why Texans Call This The Best BBQ Spot In Dallas | Legendary Eats
Ranked best barbecue by D Magazine in 2018, the meat cutters at Cattleack serve beef ribs, brisket, and pork ribs to lines of people waiting to eat at the backyard-themed restaurant. What started off as a hobby for owners Todd and Misty David, Cattleack BBQ has now become a popular lunch spot able to seat hundreds of people.
Despite its popularity, it remains open for lunch only twice a week on Thursdays, Fridays, and the first Saturday of each month. We visited the popular BBQ joint to check out the seven smokers on their property, try our hand at slicing brisket, and serve customers alongside the owners.

Texas BBQ tour between Forth Worth and Midland | Ezra Levant
Ezra Levant reports for TheRebel.media:
This isn't grilling like we do up in Canada in our backyards. This is real BBQ, Texas style: Meat smoked for hours over hickory or pecan wood, and traditional sides like mac & cheese, corn cobs, beans, cole slaw.
No tofu or kale for miles!
Thanks to Cooper's Pit BBQ and the Natty Flat Smokehouse for their gracious hospitality!

There are plenty of barbecue places in Dallas. So what's so great about Ten 50? Besides being the brain child of Larry Lavine, founder of Chili's, Ten 50 offers a real Central Texas-style barbecue experience right here in Dallas.
Our pit masters are hard at work 24 hours a day so when we say our premium meats are slow-roasted for 12 - 16 hours, that's no bull! You pick the meat you see cooking right in front of you using charcoal we make ourselves from hickory, oak, pecan and mesquite. Our sides are made from scratch and bread is baked in-house so you'll taste why Ten 50 is the real deal. And what kind of Texan would we be if we didn't offer you a slice of homemade butter crust pie or cheesecake to finish off your meal?

Hill Country BBQ Dan Hill Hempstead Texas, Food Review, How to enjoy Real BBQ, Texas Barbecue
Hill Country BBQ, Hempstead, Texas, Dan Hill. Say Barbecue out loud in Texas and they prepare to fight, is not a joke in Texas, and in the hill country area, it's even more serious. Barbecue, what does your mind think of when you hear the word?
Today we happened upon a place in the Texas hill country that provided just that, the Hill Country BBQ, owned by the eccentric Dan Hill, a real Texan pitmaster in every way.
Everywhere you go there are so-called BBQ masters, however, you will not find a more indigenous Texan cooking real BBQ than Dan Hill. He has, what Wikipedia describes BBQ as being; a cooking method and social event or gathering at which smoked or grilled meat is cooked and served. Did you get that? Right I said, “a real social event.” Not this standing around for hours outside waiting to see if you can be one of the hipsters today and get to eat just meat, possibly in your lap because there is no place to sit down because the place doesn’t care if you stay or go. This is not a place that cooks just enough to make would-be customers feel left out, if they didn’t get some and drive viral statements, “like they are so good, I waited in line for 4 hours and didn’t get any.” Who wants that kind of atmosphere? If you don’t cook enough to feed every one of your customers or give them something of real Texas, then you are not an authentic barbecue to the word. However, Hill Country BBQ lives up to this and says it; the sign outside says Texas Best, and this is so true on so many levels.
See, great barbecue is in Texas' bloodlines, it’s a family affair and a social gathering and the state is losing this with these new age BBQ joints, However, Dan is still holding on to these traditions. So much so, even the late President George Bush and Wife Barbara was weekly attendants of his famous little-known Hill Country BBQ in Hempstead, Texas.
From the moment you arrive, you are bombarded by wooden fences, smoke swirling in the air, and a metal building front that looks more like a stockyard than a world-famous BBQ place. As you open the door time stands still as you are faced with families sitting around enjoying wicked good food and talking to each other and not playing on their phones in boredom. It’s loud from all the enjoyment as they reminisce about their day’s adventures with the owner. Yes, I said that right. The owner, Dan himself walks the room when not cutting dishes of meat for the guests. He tells stories of the people he has met like presidents, kings, and queens or his actual days as a real cowboy riding them distinct thrashing, snot throwing bulls in a rodeo when men were men, before helmets and vests. There are pictures all over the walls of his 20+ years and his father’s 30+ years of rodeo’s and cowboys, these are original signed pictures, not those fakes ones, you see in the want to be establishments. This is real country, right down to the stuffed bear wearing a Stetson and greeting you as you walk to the order sign. The inside wood is real aged patina, not the faked painted kind you see today in flashy BBQ joints. As we enjoyed the wicked good BBQ, Dan came over to the table and sat down with his guitar and serenaded Kelley at our table. Dan and the Hill Country band have four singles out and while we were there the local radio station played two of them. His voice is what country used to be back in the time of Hank Williams senior and George Jones. All of this was just toppings to the amazing smoked delicacy of the meats he cooks every day.
The menu is simple: beef brisket, pork ribs, and hot sausage links and a few exceptional sides. He expertly carves ribs and brisket right in front of you. Right out of the cooker to your plate no electric warming ovens here. It would be a mistake not to order pork ribs, brisket, and sausage links. Pork ribs are falling apart as he cuts them and the handmade links with their unique snap just doesn’t get any better, and the brisket, with its perfect smoke ring and light outer char, will have your tong beating your head to death to get more.
To top it all off Dan shared with us the desert Barbara Bush her self-helped put together. The banana pudding. It’s to die for. This is so rich in taste it leaves you begging for more. This is not a simple white cream with no taste and sliced bananas with a few vanilla wafers. This is heaven whipped into a lather of stiff sweet vanilla cream with hints of banana melded throughout its smooth rich taste. The chunks of actual banana are fresh firm slices ripened to perfection. There are a few wafers layered throughout to give that kick of delectable delight making you dig deeper like its gold fever. A true must if you are in the area.
