Queensbay Mall to George Town
From Queensbay Mall (the clip starts from under the Penang Bridge) to The Whiteaways Arcade George Town, using the dedicated cycling lane (until Karpal Singh drive) by the sea.
Overview:
Some stretches were not connected due to land issues but nevertheless, it does provide a smooth journey (no rabid dogs, no annoying drug addicts!). Don't worry about getting dehydrated, there are stalls along the cycling lane. There's a McD (Sausage McMuffin with Egg doesn't sound too guilty when you are riding) too.
One you reached Karpal Singh Drive, you can:
1. Ride across Jalan Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu by going underneath the highway to go to KOMTAR, Jelutong, Ayer Itam OR
2. You can also turn left once you are down from the crooked bridge and head on to Weld Quay, Little India, Esplanade and YES
You can pretty much ride to anywhere in George Town from here. Be wary, the traffic around KOMTAR can be a little too much to handle at times.

We want to invite you on a journey of 12 Stories.
Stories shape who we are. We listen to them growing up, and they teach us our values, show us how we fit into the world, help us connect with our history and culture. Storytelling is a circle transcending generations. A circle connecting us to our past and to our future.
For the George Town Festival 2017, we’re bringing you 12 Stories. Presented by local community artists and creatives, you’ll experience the stories of George Town through live storytelling, short films and poetry.
This year, we’ve chosen “Arrivals” as our theme. Discover how the Naataman of Taiping finds true love in Penang, or listen to the tale of the Batik Bunny’s search for home. Watch the journey of Hokkien Mee from China to our island, or unravel the conflict between three actors on film. We’ve chosen people from diverse backgrounds to tell diverse stories in different ways. We hope that you’ll find stories that resonate with you, move you and entertain you.
We invite you to come be a part of this circle of past, present and future. Do kindly register your attendance with us by clicking here. Bring your family, friends and community. We believe it is time to reconnect our circle of storytelling. After all, who are we without our stories?
With love,
The Bad Wolves

How do maps and plans reflect and also shape our cities, communities and identities? It is believed that Penang, founded in 1786, provided the template for Singapore's town planning. Modern Singapore is providing a possible development model for Penang today. Penang and Singapore were conjoined in 1867, 150 years ago, when both became part of the Straits Settlements to be administered under the British Crown. Our histories have overlapped, converged, diverged and re-converged over time, a duet set in motion by Malaya’s former colonial government. Drawing their inspiration from history and current issues, artists from Malaysia and Singapore present their reflections of this symbiotic relationship.

#MilkyChickenRice with Sunny Side Up【RM14.90】:不喜欢牛肉不喜欢清汤不喜欢河粉,是饭桶一枚?
#Authentic Vietnamese Drip Coffee【RM9.90】:
Lime Juice with Sour Plum Fizzy【RM6.90】
Kumquat Honey Fizzy【RM6.90】
Vietnamese Fresh Spring Roll【RM11.90】

The poverty line photography exhibition by Chow x Lin for George town festival
The poverty line by CHOW and LIN.
Photo exhibition at Whiteaways arcade Penang for George town festival
THE WHITEAWAYS ARCADE
11 AUG - 2 SEP 2018 (EXCL. MONDAYS)
11:00AM - 6:00PM
FREE TO ATTEND
The Poverty Line explores a simple question: what does poverty mean?
The visual project is a project by Chow and Lin, an artist duo. It began in China in 2010 and has since expanded to 28 countries across 6 continents. The Poverty Line uses the universal lens of food to examine the choices you would face if you lived at the poverty line.
The exhibition shows a series of photographs where each picture denotes the daily food choice a poor person will have in a particular country at the time the photo was made. The food items are placed on local newspapers purchased on the day of the shoot, with the dimensions and lighting carefully measured to have a uniform aesthetic across time and geographical spread
