The Modern District of Milan《Porta Nuova》Italy
???????? New District Porta Nuova is an eco-sustainable complex with over twenty buildings including skyscrapers, offices, cultural centers and urban villas. The buildings are characterized by a considerable height and a strong architectural impact.
* The Unicredit Tower, highest skyscraper in Italy, with a height of 231 meters.
* The Torre Solaria, the highest residential skyscraper in the country; venue for conferences, congresses, concerts, exhibitions, performances and seminars.
* The Diamond Tower, is a structure with a faceted shape, similar to that of a diamond, with a total height of 140 meters. This figure qualifies him as the fourth tallest skyscraper in Milan and the tallest steel building in Italy.
The Diamond Tower is correlated by two low bodies called Diamantini that stand as an element of continuity of the skyscraper itself, forming the vast business district.
* The Vertical Forest, with its hanging gardens.
The Vertical Forest is a complex of two residential tower buildings with the presence of more than two thousand tree species, including shrubs and tall trees, distributed on the facades. It is an ambitious metropolitan reforestation project that through the vertical densification of the green is proposed to increase the plant and animal biodiversity of the Lombard capital, reducing its urban expansion and also contributing to the mitigation of the microclimate.
As a testament to its architectural recognition, Bosco Verticale was the winner of numerous competitions: in addition to the International Highrise Award, which was awarded in 2014, in 2015 Bosco Verticale was awarded the prize for «the most beautiful and innovative skyscraper of the world », according to a classification by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
These important architectures are accompanied by cycle paths, pedestrian walks and large paved public spaces, such as Piazza Gae Aulenti and Piazza Alvar Aalto.
The fulcrum of the existing neighborhoods is the Tree Library, a large public park covering about 90,000 m²
and are based on a network of inter-connected pedestrian paths, arranged so as to bring together different types of trees to create a botanical library. The value of an urban park as a tourist attraction is also guaranteed by music, cinema, games for adults and children, educational centers such as the Museum of flowers and insects.
The park is home to 90,000 plants and 450 trees, equipped sports areas, thematic circular forests, vegetable gardens, educational trails, bike trails and runners.
Si accompagnano a queste importanti architetture percorsi ciclabili, passeggiate pedonali e ampi spazi pubblici lastricati, come piazza Gae Aulenti e piazza Alvar Aalto.

Il nuovo volto di Milano # 2 - The new face of Milan # 2 – Piazza Aulenti

THE NEW FACE OF MILAN
If Piazza Duomo is the historic center of Milan, PIAZZA GAE AULENTI represents its new face, symbol of the city that changes and looks to the future.
In recent times, it has become a destination for tourists and citizens thanks to the many shops it hosts, including bookstores, perfumeries and clothing, but also for being the location of some social events, such as the Fashion Week, and for having been among the most important events of Expo 2015.
When it gets dark, the square becomes the stage for a water show, lights and sounds and the SOLAR TREE, a lighting system that uses solar energy.
The square, dedicated to the architect Gae Aulenti and built by the architect Cesar Pelli, rises 6 meters above street level and is located in the heart of the management district of the Lombard city.
The TORRE UNICREDIT is the tallest skyscraper in Italy (it is the double of the Duomo) is visible 10 km away and becomes a well distinguishable sign in the profile of the city. It reaches 231 meters with the Spire completely covered with LED that can be lit with different colors on special occasions or to emphasize moments with a strong symbolic content (after the Paris massacres it was illuminated with the colors of the French flag).
Nearby other skyscrapers: the two towers of “Vertical Woods” 76 m high and 110 m, the Lombardy Palace 161 m, the Galfa Tower 109 m, the two Maire Tecnimont Towers 100 m, the Torre Diamante (Paribas) 140 m, the Residential towers Solea 69 m, Aria 100 m and Solaria 143 m.
