Miami, Florida - Vizcaya Museum and Gardens - Full Tour HD (2017)
The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, previously known as Villa Vizcaya, is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate also includes: extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; native woodland landscape; and a historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style, with Baroque elements. Paul Chalfin was the design director.
Miami-Dade County now owns the Vizcaya property, as the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, which is open to the public. 'Villa Vizcaya' is served by the Vizcaya Station of the Miami Metrorail.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Miami, Florida, A Special Thank You!
In this video Salvatore Vinciguerra thanks his subscribers for their support of this channel. Salvatore shares with you the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida. The home was once owned by James Deering and was completed in 1922. The home features Italian and other European designs from Spain and France. Today the house and gardens consist of only 50 of the original 180 acres and is owned by Miami Dade County.
Admission was $22.00 for adults and they have several reduced prices for children, seniors, students, veterans, and visitors in wheelchairs. For an extra $5.00 added to your admission you get a guided tour. This was well worth the price as the tour guide was exceptional and gave a tour that was over an hour and half of the first floor of the house. The house is air conditioned and the outdoor the cafe was a nice feature to have while visiting the garden area. I would recommend allowing at least 4 to 5 hours to completely enjoy this beautiful Italian gem.

Vizcaya Miami Florida Historic Mansion and Tropical Gardens
Vizcaya Mansion and Garden in Miami was a pleasure to visit, I really enjoyed the gardens and am happy to share their glory with you here.
Vizcaya, now named the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, was built as the winter estate of Chicago businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Today the estate is a National Historic Landmark. Originally Vizcaya was 180 acres including the main house, gardens and the village. Approximately 50 of these structures still stand. The propery was created with Deering and F. Burrall Hoffam, building designer; Diego Suarez, garden planner; and Paul Chalfin artistic director for the estate. They took their inspiration from Europe, Italy in particular, adapting the designs to suit the tropical setting.
