SUNDAY, BLESSED SUNDAY Sunday in South Tyrol – still a day of rest. #storiesfromsouthtyrol
There is one day unlike all the others. A day where we reinvent time. South Tyroleans say that if God had wanted us to work seven days a week, he would have set it up that way in the first place. So South Tyroleans stick to old customs: On Sundays, they live by a different rhythm than during the workweek. Why is this so important to them? What does it mean for their lives with friends and family? Why do they have no desire to shop on Sunday? And what do they expect from an excursion into the countryside? We talked to some folks at the village square in Cornaiano/Girlan. Here are their views on Sunday.
