Today we’re doing something a little different, but we want to show you guys on a working holiday visa in New Zealand what it’s like to working in a fruit orchard in New Zealand. We are in Te Puke, Tauranga to do some kiwi fruit picking in Te Puke. We join a team of kiwifruit pickers from our hostel, Pacific Coast Lodge, for some kiwifruit picking in Tauranga. This video will show you what it is like to do this popular backpacker job in New Zealand for people on a working holiday in New Zealand.

Kiwi 360 is on the outskirts of the town of Te Puke, often referred to as the 'Kiwi Fruit Capital of the World'.
From Kiwi 360 the drive to Rotorua takes about hour with scenic forest views along the way. Before arriving at Te Puia, we offer you the chance to stop at the beautiful Redwood Forest in Rotorua. Often this is a surprising highlight of your guided tour around Rotorua. The combination of giant redwood trees and beautiful silver fern, which is New Zealand's national symbol, is always a breathtaking site not to be missed during your excursion to Rotorua.
Depending on timing we can either stop for lunch (at own expense) at the Lakefront in Rotorua or at Te Puia itself. The Lake of Rotorua is definitely a picturesque addition to your Rotorua day trip schedule.
Our next destination in Rotorua is the much anticipated Te Puia. Famous for housing two of only eight spontaneous geysers in the world, you will be delighted to see the birth of a new geyser during our tour of this Maori Cultural Centre. We personally guide you through Te Puia, some of the main highlights are:
Te Puia Nga Mokai a-Koko boiling mud pools -- large pools of boiling mud whose name means 'the pets or play things of Koko'
Te Puia Maori welcome concert which aims to show you the very best of Maori performing arts and hospitality
Maori National Flax Weaving and Carving School where trainees are taught the old arts to keep the crafts alive. You are welcomed to take watch and take pictures as they continue to pass on their traditions
The Kiwi birds are at home in Te Puia -- as our national bird we love to introduce guests to the Kiwis at Te Puia
After taking our time at Te Puia we can move on to the Rotorua Government Gardens where we can drive through the gardens. As we move through the city of Rotorua we will point out further geothermal activitiy -- everyone is always amazed to see steam vents gushing from people back yards and gutters on the side of the road.
Time permitting, and depending on your preferences, we can add some extra activities to your guided tour of Rotorua. A local Maori Village, waterfalls and Lake Tarawera are some of our favorite extras, at no extra cost.
After your fun-filled and informative guided day tour in Rotorua we will return you to your cruise ship in the Port of Tauranga via a different route home. This way you can take in new sites, including beautiful vistas across the Bay of Plenty. We pass through the city of Tauranga on the way back to your ship, giving you the chance to see the charming city with all of its cafes and water-front bars. You will quickly sense the laid back Kiwi life style that we enjoy.
All in all we return you back to your ship in Tauranga with plenty of time to board. You are sure to have a camera full of photos and many happy memories from your guided tour with us in Rotorua.

New Zealand's Natural Phenomena - Travel Guide
Milford Sound is New Zealand’s most famous tourist attraction, and is in fact one of the top travel destinations in the world, receiving over 550,000 tourists visit this site each year. After Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound is New Zealand’s most well-known tourist attraction. Also found in the Fiordland region, Doubtful Sound is home to one of the southernmost populations of bottlenose dolphins. Experience this natural wonder via kayak or cruise. The Moeraki Boulders are rock clusters that litter the coast, and are a popular tourist destination.
Milford Sound is New Zealand’s most famous tourist attraction, and is in fact one of the top travel destinations in the world. Found in Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound is a remote and peaceful fjord. Surrounded by rain forests and cliffs, over 550,000 tourists visit this site each year.

Found on New Zealand’s South Island, Farewell Spit is the longest sand spit in the country. For the most part, the spit is closed to the public except for tour groups. These tours allow visitors to explore the area, including a renowned bird sanctuary.
Marlborough Sounds are isolated, drowned valleys found to the north of New Zealand’s South Island. Access to the Sounds is difficult, in most cases only reachable by boat. However the area’s dolphin population, as well as its scenic beauty, make it a worthwhile place to visit.
Eroded by the waves, the Moeraki Boulders are unusually large and round boulders found along the Otago coast. Measuring between one and a half and almost seven feet in diameter, these rock clusters litter the coast, and are a popular tourist destination.
Geothermal activity in New Zealand can be found in the form of geysers of boiling water, bubbling pools of mud, as well as volcanoes. For example, Craters of the moon is an other-wordly experience of steam vents, mud pools and bubbling craters. The country sits on an active fault line, which causes this activity. Many of the country’s lakes can also be attributed to this phenomenon. This is why much of New Zealand’s natural beauty can be traced back to geothermal activity. And what better way to relax then soaking in a pool of naturally heated water?
Deep fjords, sulfurous steam vents and gorgeous glaciers are just a few of the elements that make New Zealand a country that’s beautiful by nature.
