Life at Huzzah Valley: Missouri's Most Complete Family Resort!
We have been outfitting trips on the Huzzah, Courtois and Meramec Rivers since 1979. Our resort offers something for everyone with camping, lodging in cabins, canoeing and many other activities to entertain and engage guests of all ages. If you are looking for an affordable vacation experience in Missouri that will provide memories to last a lifetime, consider Huzzah Valley Resort for your next vacation.
One of the best kept secrets about Huzzah Valley is how beautiful it is early in the Spring and in Fall. In the Spring the Redbuds and Dogwoods are blooming. Then in the Fall Huzzah Valley is bright with yellow, gold and red leaves. There is also a financial benefit for coming in our off season, the price.
The crystal clear water of the Huzzah River offers some of the finest floating, fishing, swimming and natural environments in Missouri. Although considered small by some standards the Huzzah’s water quality is unsurpassed.
Alley Spring and Mill in Eminence Missouri is part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways
Leanna Bryson Park Ranger with the National Park Service provided me a very nice overview of the Alley Mill in Eminence Missouri. I also am sharing some video of the Alley Spring as Leanna talks about the Mill. This is a great place to visit I've been here twice.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE SPRING AND MILL:
Heading south on Highway 19, turn right (west) on Highway 106 at Eminence. After crossing the Jacks Fork River, turn right at the Alley Spring and Mill sign.
The spring empties an average of 81 million gallons a day into the upper Jacks Fork. A short trails leads around the spring, along bluff walls decorated with hanging gardens of wildflowers and ferns.
The barn-red mill was built in 1894 and is now a museum operated by the park service. The three-story mill is open daily.
Park Ranger Leanna Bryson had a bit of news. “The mill is going to be on the U.S. quarter in 2017,” she said. “They picked 55 national parks for the coins; Yellowstone was the first. They say we’re the most photographed mill in the United States.”
An image of historic Alley Mill near the Jacks Fork River will soon be imprinted on the back of U.S. quarter coins.
I certainly hope it brings more awareness to what we have with Ozark National Scenic Riverways, said park spokeswoman Dena Matteson. Local folks certainly know what we have here, but others may not know about the hidden jewel we have here in the Ozarks.
The story of Alley is a tale of nature, people, and a century-old mill sitting at the heart of a beautiful Ozark scene. Whether this is an annual trip you've made since your childhood, or your first visit, take time to soak up the splendid scenery and get acquainted with Alley's lively past.
Cold clear waters rise from deep within Alley Spring at an average daily flow of 81 million gallons. The spring basin is funnel-shaped with a depth of 32 feet.
Alley Mill is just one of over 100 historic structures found within Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

The owners of A River Mist Too had a dream to create a collection of luxury vacation cabin rentals that feature quiet and private settings spread out over more than 6 acres of wilderness-like terrain with spectacular views and easy access to the Watauga River, which is one of the most picturesque and pristine rivers in North Carolina. They began with A River Mist cabin that quickly became one of the most popular 2-bedroom cabin rentals in the area. In December 2015 A River Mist Walk, which is an amazing 1-bedroom retreat, was added.
A River Mist Too is the third in the collection of amazing River Mist homes. It is even more spectacular and luxurious than the first two! This luxurious 3 Master Suite home was professionally furnished and decorated and is strategically positioned next to a stream and pond directly overlooking the Watauga River. It offers extensive handmade rugs, hardwood flooring throughout, upscale ammenities, private decking, amazing views of the river, and mountain views beyond the river. The Watauga River rapids can be heard from every part of this property, and a well-designed path has been constructed to provide easy access to this beautiful river.
Enter the main level from the 2-car garage or carport with no steps to climb. The main floor features a spacious floor plan with hardwood floors throughout and vaulted cathedral ceilings. There is a breakfast nook with a table for 4 as well a dining table with seating for 8. The fully-equipped kitchen features granite countertops, self-closing cabinet doors and drawers, a huge island with seating for 3, stainless steel appliances, a six-burner gas stove, and two ovens.
The living room has comfortable leather seating positioned around a beautiful gas log remote-controlled fireplace constructed with local stones and a 65” Smart HDTV with sound bar. French glass doors open onto the deck. Tiffany lamps, custom wall sconces, and many more graceful touches decorate the home.
On the west side of the great room is a spacious master suite. This room has a King bed, 50” Smart HDTV with sound bar, sitting area with Apple computer, a cedar-lined walk-in closet, views of the river, two glass French doors that open to the deck near the hot tub and a luxurious bathroom with an open concept shower, a large English-style soaking tub, bidet, toilet, and double vanities.

The hot tub, sunken into the main level deck, overlooks the river and is the perfect place to relax away your cares. Stereo speakers are wired inside and outside on the decks so entertainment is never farther away than a button.
